Evra: I Intend To Make Sure Becks Doesn’t Do Well

Earlier this week David Beckham said he hoped to face Manchester United in the Champions League, on the road to winning the Champions League with AC Milan.

His wish was granted but Patrice Evra, who will likely mark Beckham in our European clash, wishing our former winger plays badly.

“I am very happy for David Beckham,” said Evra. “He did a lot of great things for Manchester United and I want to say to him “Welcome Home”. I have met him. He is a gentleman. He is a good person and a good professional. This is why Milan wanted him to go back there. I like that type of player. He is still one of the best right-footed players in the world. But I hope he plays badly and I intend to make sure he doesn’t do very well.”

Evra is soon to be OT legend. Plays well every game, always talks the team up and is dedicated to destroying the opposition!! Too bad he also plays for France….

  2. King Eric says:

The way Pat has been playing this season he will have Becks in his pocket. My only concern with David is set pieces. Still very dangerous from them.

  3. Smudger says:

Patrice Evra is fast becoming my fav player!!

  4. rachelreddevil says:

another cracking comment by pat he is a legend. i also want to to say welcome home becks he didnt get to say a proper goodbye and he’s had nothing but good things to say about our club. i cant wait until march

  5. Costas says:

Great work at finding a picture Scott. I didn’t even think they had played against each other!

Good words from Evra. I am also of the opinion that on current form he will handle Becks quite well. As far as set pieces go, we will just have to avoid them!

I am happy to see Beckham back at Old Traffor for one night. However you just have to know that the media cunts will want to stir up shit from now until the game. The draw really made their day…

hargreaves end of january?? are u serious
he was meant to be back by end of december
i really think we need to sign another defensive midfielder this january
    and a young promising defender

  7. aig alex is god says:

evra should not have problems dealing with beckham. its rio, vidic and evans who should be vary of his set pieces.becks anyways dosent have pace and is always looking to cross the ball early.his crosses are still pinpoint though so the centrebacks better beware with pato, borriello adn inzaghi lurking

  8. red indian says:

evra would have to handle pato for most of the game, which would be much more imortant.
and fletcher or someone to keep tab on pirlo

  9. brett1985 says:

The Milan game is naturally a must win. I hope a lot of our problems are sorted out by then in terms of system, injuries and form.

  10. King Eric says:

We don’t need another midfielder. Ando, Fletch, Carrick, the Ginger prince, Gibson, Giggs. How many do we need?

brett1985 – Absolutely mate. I am sure it will be. If Fergie has any reason to doubt he may well buy another defender in January but I am sure we will be ok. I think our form comes from these defensive injuries. We are having to play the likes of Fletch and Carrick in the back 4 which then infringes on our midfield. Fergie by then will have the right system. I think he almost found it now. He seems to favour a five man midfield away from home which so far has worked a treat.

  11. King Eric says:

red indian – Fletch will have Pirlo in his pocket. These games are made for Darren.

  12. Costas says:

Scholesy also has a score to settle with that idiot Gattuso from the San Sio match.

  13. ashhotjet90 says:

This match is made for revenge , we will show that Gattuso bastard , let him come to OT this time . We gotta handle Pato and Ronaldinho , these are milan’s go to players , expect Scholes and Fletcher to play .

  14. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Evra, who will likely mark Beckham in our European clash,
    .
Who else can we really rely on to be in defence with the rest dropping like flies

  15. red indian says:

@king eric I think we really are missing a set piece specilist who can put 90pc of crosses n coeners into the box.even at his age we dont hav a better crosser than becks in our squad..mybe nani

  16. 20legend99 says:

For fucks sake, is Pat not class? The thing we always want is for our players to love the shirt just as much as we do, and while there have certainly been great players at this club, I think Evra will finish near the top. Gives 100% every game and really loves our club.

    Patrice Evra United Legend?

  17. rooninho says:

    evra=player of the year

i don’t know how he keeps getting even better, or how he keeps making me like him even more- but the man just keeps going up, up, up, in my estimation.

giggs and scholes have been as amazing as they are inspiring, fletch has become one of the best midfielders in the world, but where would we be this season without our paddy?

  18. mufcdevils says:

i love evra.. he contributes widely in every game

  19. Stephen says:

Fuckme calling Evra a legend that word is so over used to describe any player now, the only legens at OT are Neville, Scholes and Giggs.

  20. rossee says:

    EVRA IS A LEGEND….Stephen ur a tit !

  21. Stephen says:

    Fuck off rossee you cunt.
