Evra: I Told Tevez We Weren’t Friends On The Pitch

Patrice Evra, Park Ji-Sung and Carlos Tevez were inseparable at United which made it difficult for Evra to hear the Argie booed constantly throughout our victory on Sunday.

“Carlos Tevez is a blue, he hates Munichs!” the City fans chanted after Tevez saw a shot come back off the woodwork.

At half time, Tevez and Evra walked off the pitch today and as they approached the tunnel, Carlos applauded the fans in the Stretford End, who returned his gesture with a load of abuse.

After jokingly claiming that he would boo with the fans before the game, Evra admits it wasn’t nice to hear one of his mates booed like that.

“It was a little bit difficult, because Carlitos is a good friend,” Evra said. “I called him before the game and said: ‘I don’t care, when you arrive at Old Trafford we are not friends on the pitch.’ But off the pitch, he is one of my best friends from my time playing at United. This is why I was with him at half-time. It was hard when the fans booed him. I understand that he played here and then he joined City, but he is still one of my best friends.”

ok.off the pitch matters.least bothered about what happens off the pitch.Good to see that atleast the cunt hasnt forgotten the few friends he had at OT.

  2. CROoney says:

yeah right – it’s easy to talk now –

you heated up the atmoshpere yourself pat and tevez behaved graciously when they scored…he was the winner in the situation

  3. natiasa says:

tevez behaved well unlike adebajor. did not deserve the boos I think

  4. Zana says:

Tevez was a good player for us but he has delusion of being the best player for united among rooney, berbatov, ronaldo….no way, so probably those boos would be a perfect psychotherapy .

  5. Fze123 says:

did tevez celebrate the goal that he set up with the other shitty players…?

  6. Fze123 says:

after all his bitching and disrespecting, i think he bloody well deserved to be booed. he should thank his lucky stars that the fans at OT weren’t hurling objects at him.

  7. AlphaRS says:

United fans a bit harsh on Tevez. Although Tevez was harsh on SAF.
I have to say I think Tevez conducted himself well. I actually did like him.

  8. kel says:

I have seen evra having a difficult game from his expression and the difficulty is not from the opponent, it’s from the abuse tevez gets.

  9. CROoney says:

    Fze123 – no..he didn’t celebrate

  10. sppibsihmkcrkg says:

glad tevez got booed, not just coz he joined city but because he said he wouldn’t join a rival club because of his special relationship with the fans, and then backtracked on everything he’d previously said about fergie and started slagging him off. But gotta say, hope whoever started throwing coins or whatever it was is banned

  11. RedBr0 says:

Tevez deserved the booing so he can understand how the fans feel about joining city, but he behaved really well and respectful in the game. I think he shouldn’t be booed as fiercely in upcoming matches, but simply get a silent treatment. Well behaved from the lad yesterday

Tevez is ok. He was a little bit frustrated and said what he said. I think we should forget about it, and move on. He is ok with Evra, and that shows what a fan sholud do. Evra knows much better what was happening last year before he said all the things he said about SAF, then press and the things we red.

  13. Muggaz says:

CROoney – what you on about mate? he ran over to the other tunrcoat Bellamy and they had a little Judas party together!

You could see on Tevez’ face how much he wanted to score and give it to the Stretford end, but he coped/played well enough for our 3rd best striking option.

  14. Rotegzy says:

sorry to go off-topic but i’m reallllllllly worried with our goalkeeping dept.foster does not look like it at the least.

  15. chris kirk says:

fair enough… credit to tevez he handled it well and i think everyone could see a tinge of regret when owen scored as if he was thinking “god, i wish that was me!”. hope that twat that threw the coin that hit garrido gets the key thrown away: we’re better than that

  16. Datnana says:

Felt pity for poor tevez.he’d not been a talkertive till his transfer saga.his reaction to the boos made me feel sorry for him.i guess we’ll forgive him now, and move on.at least for Pat’s sake. Ronaldo is showing what united’s fans’ ‘blessings’ can make or unmake a career. Knowing him,i believe he’ll have personal glory at real, but the team???

  17. King Eric says:

Rotegzy – Don’t be too worried mate, VDS is back training.

  18. CROoney says:

Mugazz – he simply joggled towards him without a smile or anything – you could see he showed repsect – but the difference is that all the city players lifted him …

  19. Slitheen says:

I’m glad Carlito ‘Judas’ Tevez got the booing he deserved. I’m sick of people asking why we booed him when it “wasn’t his fault” he had to leave, but apart from the fact we *DID* offer to let him stay, *AND* offered the full amount of money being asked, I also feel we wouldn’t have booed him were it not for what he said about Sir Alex. If he had just gone to City and kept his mouth shut I think there would have been zero booing….or perhaps from only a small handful of the crowd. He brought it all on himself.

And the fact that Rooney has already scored the same amount of goals Tevez did the whole of last season, and that Owen (£00.00) scored in the derby and Tevez never, should leave us grateful that he turned our offer down. Next time we should cheer him instead!

  20. Rax says:

IMHO not celebrating the goal does not equal good behaviour. Apart from Foster’s howler and missing a sitter, the only other thing he did of note was get carded. A bigger appearance and his actions could easily have been different.
He’s acted like a little prick ever since his move, so he completely deserved the boos. May as well have BITTER tattooed across his forehead in blue and then he’ll fit right in with the noisy neighbours.

  21. Addy says:

    Tevez 25 Mil
    Berbatov 30 Mil
I love Tevez for what he did at United and no ones gonna deny that..
He did not deserve to be booed.

  22. Will says:

    Tevez 47 mil.
