Pat is amazing. He never speaks about himself when he’s interviewed.

After the Carling Cup final, he said the victory belonged to the young players, and he pointed out Rafael and others.

Always. Always. Always, after matches, when asked about his own performance, he just shrugs and points out particular performances and contributions by other teammates.

His lack of ego and generosity are top, top, top class.
