Evra On Best Mates Park And Tevez

Patrice Evra is enjoying his celebrity status in the far East which has come with him being best mates with Ji-Sung Park, the “Korean David Beckham”.

Evra also concedes he didn’t like seeing his other best mate, Carlos Tevez, wearing City’s blue shirt.

“Because I am a close friend of Ji there has been this reaction,” said Evra. “This is what happens when you play for United. You go to every part of the world and everybody loves you. I am still good friends with Carlos but it was painful when I saw him with the City shirt on. He was upset by the booing but he understands.”

least bothered.as long as he does the job on the pitch i am happy.even if he marries tevez off the pitch i am least bothered or intrested.he is doing well even if his other 2 mates are struggling at the moment

@AIG : Evra is married mate and he is not gay.

  3. crivian says:

Evra is fast becoming one of my favourite players.

  4. Long John O'Shea says:

    Evra for Captain

  5. Stretford Ender says:

Everyone loves Evra, outside shout for Captain soon, And Ji has been superb when compared to other top teams fringe players!!

  6. MUFC the Religion says:

Evra for captain. Yeah maybe a European group game. He’d love it.

  7. Gee says:

Fast becoming a legend this lad!!

  8. Stephen says:

Evra for captain, really?? Rio is surely the outstanding candidate with Fletch a decent outside bet if he can maintain his form, also a leftback as captain, I know Pearce and Brehme have been but they are one offs.

No offence meant in that sentence.just wanted to say that i am not bothered by what he does off field and whether he still speaks with Tevez or not

Stephen, I don’t necessarily agree with the “Evra for Captain” shouts, but you can’t rule him out cos he’s a left back – who is our current captain?

  11. Stephen says:

I agree mate, but G Nev is an exception plus he is a true Manc.

  12. bigphil2003 says:

Yeah I agree with that, Evra and Nev are different players. Evra is a great off the field spokesperson, but I’ve never seen him as much of a leader on the field. Not that that’s a bad thing, what he does do for us is awesome.

  13. Stephen says:

I totally agree, he seems quiet on the field and very focussed not a natural leader but a superb player and a top lad.

    @ Stephen

I agree with the Rio shout mate but I wouldnt worry too much if the armband was thrown in Evra’s direction, I know what you mean with the left back being captain tho, I prefer a CM or CB to command us and to be honest for me Nev has been a great player but I dont rate him as captain even tho I do love his true passion for us. I remember Ronaldo losing the ball in one particular game a few years back and we conceded from the mistake and Nev just started walking off and Rio bollocked Nev and told him to get a grip and bollock Ronaldo. Another reason I think Rio should be captain.

  15. Stephen says:

Rio, Fletch, Rooney, Vidic, Hargreaves and O’Shea are well ahead of Evra pal, he has no chance of being el capitano but he is a terrific player though.

  16. Evra's biggest fan says:

Rio for capt of united and england – god know how terry got the job before rio!

  17. 99 says:

Fletch being Captain would in my opinion help him to raise his game….

  18. Stephen says:

The captain in my opinion should be a shoe in starter Fletch is not quite that, if he were then he would be vice with Rio as the skipper.

Agree that Rio is probably a good bet for next captain, but i just worry a little about his injury problems of late. I don’t doubt he’d make an excellent captain and probably deserves it to a certain extent, there must be a question mark over his long term fitness. And like someone has already said the Capt. should be a starter every week and i’m not sure Rio is going to be able to do that. He has fairly regular back(and related) problems and it only gets harder to manage something like that as you get older. I always thought Nev held the captaincy too long given the fact he pretty much never plays, although i know he is a bit of a Mr United around the place too which is almost a part of the job.
If it’s not Rio, i wouldn’t mind seeing Vidic get it. Plays with the right win or bust mentality. If Carrick could hit some form and raise his game a bit i wouldn’t mind him, plays in the right area of the pitch to do it. Calm headed, perhaps too much so? Hargo?

O’shea for captain! and presedent! and secretary general of the UN! plays in the right part of the pitch…and left…and centre…and in goals!

  21. Zainab MUFC 10 says:

Evra is one of the top defenders in the world along with Rio & Vidic..
Evra just never dissapoints ( Knock on Wood )
And it doesnt worry me, about his friendship with the argie because I used to be best friends with a scouser.. and that didnt turn out to well. So hopefully that doesnt happen with Evra cuz he doesnt deserve to be hurt.

  22. Corea says:

    Everybody loves Evra ?
    I surely don’t.

  23. manutd4eva&aday says:

ok all this talk bout captaincy…hav we forgot bout rooney…the kid eat sleep n breathes united…fuck where he plays tha kid has tha united mentality…ROONEH 4 CAPTAIN!!!

  24. Datnana says:

VDS if around, rooney or hargo.

  25. Gee says:

The problem with Rooney being captain is it would be on his mind to much during a game I reckon and he would focus too much on everyone else’s game and his might suffer abit.
