I know the new kid is new but if anyone watched the mid-week champions league game you should be somewhat convinced that fucked up Nani’s spot is being taken game after game but the new kid…

Nani has poor pass choices, makes silly mistakes, looses the ball when he tries to do a Ronaldo flick… SNAP he gets me started!!!

it’s gonna be a tough match i’m really sure..but given the fact, that our young team’s determination and the never say die attitude, i’m sure we’ll get good result out of this game..

fze @ 19:19 – you’re right on both counts: solid defence and Fletcherinho.

There was some worrying news in the Guardian online to the effect that Fletcherinho – like Jonny Evans – needs some sort of corrective surgery on his ankle. Both guys can still play with an injection but they are both less than 100 %; add those two to the ongoing Rio-saga and Hargreaves-gate and that’s four key players who are likely to be less-than-reliable during the squeaky-bum time in the spring.

I would think that SAF is probably weighing up his options – operations for Evans/Fletcherinho now or in the summer ? how much more rest/recuperation for Rio ? how fast does Hargreaves get brought back to play in real games ? I’m sure that these kinds of decisions are there all the time but it is worrying that four such crucial parts of the team’s defence seem to need special care and attention.

The good news is that UTD are through in the CL and if nothing horrible happens in the EPL then the next six weeks are easier since the match at Stamford Bridge is the last “big 4″ event until the second half of the season.
Can UTD afford to coddle these four key players now and get them match-fit and reliable for the key part of the season ?

honestly, it’s hard to see manchester united keeping a clean sheet in this one with the way the defense has been letting in goals. i’m hoping for a 10-0 scoreline, but would settle for our first win at stamford bridge since 2002.

agree with paddy about the funny business at chelsea, as they seem to cheat more at home with the diving, dirty fouls, and handballs. i hope the refs are man enough to send a message early by carding their dirtiest players, drogba and ballack, for unfair play.

worried about another dipper game experience where the refs were too scared to card torres for flopping early on, and it came back to hurt us in the end.

come on united, send a message, and get back to the top of the table!
