Manchester United will go to the Emirates with a 1-0 advantage after the result last night, most importantly managing not to concede an away goal. However, following a game which United completely dominated, seeing their goalkeeper earn a Man of the Match award, we obviously are disappointed not to put the game out of reach.
Patrice Evra has confessed he is very down in the mouth over the result.
“We are very disappointed, believe me,” said Evra. “We should have made sure the tie was over. We should have scored at least two more goals. One more would have moved us closer to the final. It is not a good result, we should be in front with more goals. We did what Sir Alex asked us but we did not score enough, so it is still 50-50.”

Man Utd News 24/7

Well porto held Atletico madrid We have to do the same.I’m sure SAF is going to defend the lead…by attacking.Hopefully Rio will be alright.yes?
Just do the same at the Emirates and we’ll be fine.
I was also very disappointed. But in the end we didn’t concede and i do see us scoring in there. If you look at our 3 results at the Emirates so far,all of them would take us throught to the final.
Evra is starting to annoy me
He is right, we should have killed it of but no need to keep going on about it. He always used to be so positive. whats happened?
I am starting to believe he finds it hard to be positive when the team is playing badly
sorry not the team, himsel*. he is off form
I thought he was ok last night spencer. But then again,Walcott was bad anyway.Evra does have a point in the sense that ties easily change.Look at the Roma-Arsenal second leg match and how different it was to the first one.
Arsenal keeper save the day for Wenger but overall MU had control total possesion of the game. Fabregas, Wellcourt and Adebayor were completely shut off and been made passengers throughout the game. How can Arsenal even think of winning the return match at Emirates. Their flow chart failed and has no more ideas to change the game where as MU can change the game anytime with much more entertaining ideas.
Evra was as usually weird in the attacking areas. He didn’t give a single precise pass when he moved towards the Arsenal penalty area and a few times has been out of the place when Arsenal tried to go by their right wing.
But i agree with him. We should have scored more and now cared about Rio’s availability for Rome. But Sir Alex didn’t want to change things that much during the second half.
I am also disappointed! Arsenal are still very much in it but the players should do the talking on the pitch…Arsenal got away with it. We MUST score first at the Emirate to make them nervous and we will see them off as they surge forward insearch of a goal.
Let’s pray for Rio
united will score
arsenal wont score 3
simple
Well, they have to score in the next game, so I’d like to see how many saves can almuna pull off without having 9 defenders in front of him. Hopes are up, but still, you never know…
more than aluminium that shite linesman kept arsnl in the tie.2 borderline on side decisions went against us.
i was disappointed after the porto first leg, this time im not as bad! just hoping for a good win on saturday, nothing too dramatic then onto tuesday night.
we need an away goal, put it this way if united had left nou camp last year 1-0 down we would have been gutted so how come the other way round we are also gutted the match is over 180 minutes, (maybe more)
need to score next week, score score score!!
If Evra’s disappointed, and we can all see why, can you imagine how the Arsenal players feel after their dismal performance? Of course the tie is finely in the balance, but there is no reason to be fearful. United have the players and the team ethic to beat anyone in the world, and that includes Arsenal. But right now, it’s time to think of Middlesborough. They should be next in United’s sights.
Off topic – How wrong is it? The dippers play SUNDAY after playing last Sat. We play SATURDAY DINNERTIME after playing last night. Piss take.
