Favourite Of The 99 Goals?

With Wayne Rooney searching for his 100th club goal today, it begs the question which of the ones he’s scored so far is the best?

I’ve short listed a top five, but if you think he’s scored another that beats any of these, please state.

Vs Arsenal (for Everton)

Vs Boro I

Vs Boro II

Vs Newcastle

Vs Portsmouth

  1. AJ says:

Has to be Rooney vs Newcastle just pure class.

I think you should also add Rooney vs Milan 2 seasons ago and the one for ever ton agaisnt Arsenal.

  2. Middlesbrough Fan says:

Two crackers against us there! The chip especially was a brilliant goal but the best has to be the volley against Newcastle. Unbelievable technique and ability.

  3. Ste says:

The goal vs Newcastle by a mile, no question. Unbelieavble.

The goal vs Pompey is my 2nd favourite, partly coz it was immense, but partly coz I was there. Wonderful.

  4. Markus Revolver says:

For me, the goal against Newcastle is the easiest on the eye, brilliant technique and class for the goal. But, i have to say vs Arsenal at Everton. Simply because he was only 16, and was playing against a team which were very, very good at the time. One of those goals which defines a player.

  5. UnitedOnFire says:

The Newcastle goal for me to.

What I like about it is that it just shows the complete Rooney. He is completely angry with the ref about something, I forget now what that was, and then just turns, and totally creams it into the net with power and skill.

    Totally brilliant.
