No, NI aren't technically a part of GB: They are a part of the UK - as in "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland".

He should do it i say. Olympic football isnt world cup or euro level....its some young playErs with a dabble of experience and mainly played at a very friendly and substandard level. It wouldnt take much commitment either....a month...2 months tops preparing and 1 week playing ( until GB are knocked out in the group stages ).

SAF is a leader a pioneer..when he's retired he will have the time...will miss the football management bug. And just think sod it if GB fail. He will go down in history as is much of his CV is proof. That he became the first manager since 1960 to lead a GB football team out + at the home olympics. That and the honour also of leading his troops out into the stadium..lighting the torch etc etc etc. The man has written a fairy tale script, a fairy tale cv, a fairly tale history. Why not cap it off with all that which entails the olympic games. Once in a lifetime opportunity..there cant be any notions of regret that you missed that chance at the home olympics. And who knows...yes if GB team fail...everyone expected it with the shitbags on show....he's still a winner and pioneer being the manager. And if he goes far and gets a medal...then surely no one NO ONE CAN ARGUE THAT HE WAS THE GREATEST THAT EVER LIVED.

He will be bored at home anyway....and we utd fans cant be selfish. YES if the opportunity came when he was still our manager..then id be selfish and say NOOOO. But we have no right over him whence he leaves us. And i personally think he wants to do it and knows he will. What greater honour and legacy of a great man...that the IOC, FA, FIFA, BOA, the PM, lord COE, Famous athletes are all begging him to be the the manager

What honour.....THAT HE IS THE ONLY HISTORIC AND GREAT CANDIDATE for the job...NO OTHERS AR WORTHY TO LICK HIS BOOTS, no others even mentioned or in the frame. What an honour. AND MY FRIENDS THAT IS A GREAT TESTAMENT TO US ALL...TO UTD..TO THE UTD FANS. As no matter what he did with st mirren, aberdeen or what he does in the future....he will always be synonymous with MANCHESTER UNITED!!!

Go do it SAF...Would be a great fitting finale...for not just the best manager ever..but one of the true pioneers of the last century
