Sir Alex Ferguson has praised Paul Scholes today, claiming he is within the best players ever to represent the club and had a better touch of the ball than anyone else on Sunday.
“Funnily enough we have never had one enquiry for Paul Scholes,” he said. “You know why? Because they all know he will never leave. Maybe he has had private situations where people have begged him to join them because that is how it happens with agents phoning up and all that nonsense. But they all know he wouldn’t leave here. At United, you can go back to the Best, Law and Charlton era, before that you have Duncan Edwards. You are talking a wide panorama of players. But in my time he would be in the top six or seven without a doubt. His contribution and quality have been great, even without the fantastic goals he has scored. When he came on against Everton on Sunday, his first touch was better than anyone else’s had been in the whole previous hour. He has that wonderful velvet touch on the ball. When he gets it, it goes stone dead. It is wonderful to see that amidst all the mayhem that can happen in a football match.”

Paul Scholes is a technical genius. Always has been…admired by european genuises and legends.
And for the english game that relies on and produces physical brutes…who can just run tackle and barge and do basic things eg lumpolard and gerrard etc. The name and style english footballis famous for.
Then that is a testament to Scholsey..who wasnt big..wasnt strong…couldnt run. But had the vision..the thinking quicker than other players….the eyes in the back of the head..the touch..the guile…the killer pass….the control…the techinque.
Testament to the genius of Paul Scholes. Hence he receives more acclaim from europe and foreign players who appreciate his mastery and wizardry.
Not to mention…the most quiet humble modest unassuming man that has probably walked the planet.

His response was “Paul Scholes! As If hes on your team you always win!”
There has been no other english talent like paul scholes in the premiership. Prior to Scholes Retireing from England Duty he was played out on the left a lot to accomadate Lampard and Gerrard! His form dipped a little and didnt score as many goals! What people failed to realise was that he was still head and shoulders above Gerrard and Lampard!

What scholes offers is ball retention, I like us all have see Scholes keep the ball in midfield with 2 players round him. He can ping passes around short, meduim and long! With immence accuracy!
Although getting on in years he has by far still something to offer!
