(Despite the name) But why can't Rooney play in CM? He could be a perfect replacement for Paul Scholes, even equpied with the same bad tackling every now and then. But he would relish the chance to pop up at the top of the box 25 yards out from goal to smash some in. Or arriving late in the box unmarked. Or hell, we all know for a fact he would love tracking an oppossing player 30 yards at a dead spring and making the perfect tackle that denies a scoring opportunity.
