Sir Alex Ferguson says he fully expects our fans to get behind the team against AC Milan tonight, despite the on-going protests against the Glazers.
A few weeks ago there had been talks of all fans entering the ground ten minutes late but nothing official has been organised, therefore we should expect a full stadium at kick-off.
“Old Trafford will be rocking and I am sure whether they are wearing the traditional red and white or the protest green and gold scarves the supporters will be united and speaking with one voice to get us safely through,” said Ferguson.

Man Utd News 24/7

just read yesterday, that this protest has been organised a few months ago and 10’000 Utd Supporters are supposed to enter early. That guy talked to the media bout this..? sorry can’t find the link anymore
*not early, i meant 10min late..
Yeah…lets hope common sense prevails….as he said, its too important a game for that…..
Not that other games are not important, every game in the run in is important, but these things can be done in…….. wait a minute…is there ever a good time to boycott games!?
I just done know…
It’s not the right way… I will be going as normal, but kitted out in my Green and Gold, not buying club merchandise and not renewing tickets is how to hit the Yanks. Entering 10 minutes late will only encourage Milan to start playing, that is the last thing we want…. That’s how I see it, although I could be wrong!
going to a game late isnt really going to show anything in my eyes, its not going to hit the glazers and it will just either delay the game or be a distraction,
Im right behind the campaign but if something like this happens and the team loose, its going to be very bad publicity in what has so far been a very positive campaign.
I hope we’re not 2-0 down by the time the 10000 fans enter the stadium
Could be a mighty sight and sound having 10,000 people entering the stadium a few minutes late singing together at the top of their voices.
I hope SAF is right we need to recreate the barca atmosphere to safely see us through..
Personally, I think the g&g campaign is already so big and well known all over the planet, that it doesnt make anymore sence to enter late… we better keep the g&g scarves and flags flying high and show the protest in that way.
The lads need our full support tonight to get through, and hopefully, to play munich in the next round
instead of entering 10min late.
can’t we just boycott wembly if we win the league, and play in the community shield? (gather outside wembly with banners, and covered in green and gold) i know it wont hit the glazers pockets but it will get us much publicity in a game of little importance without being detrimental to the team. unlike the plan for tonight.
however if its the glazers pockets we want to hit then we have to revise a whole new plan because a 10 min late entrance won’t do it either
The Barca night was incredible… I have never seen OT in such a buzz before, during and after a game! I would rather those bastards not cost us champions league qualification.
Did anyone see Wengers comments, “Bring on United or Chelsea…” If we get through I’d love to draw those bastards again and turn them over once more.
I hope to goodness sake that the stadium is fully packed at the time of kick off. In Milan the crowd made a huge difference at the start of the match which seemed to rattle some of our players (Rafael notably).
We have the advantage now, no need to gift it back to Milan. Everyone should be in full voice from start to finish!
Green and Gold or just plain red, Becks and Milan are dead.
Personally on match day I couldna gee a fuckin tupneetoss about protest’s.I just want a win simple as.
The most important thing here is the fucking player’s and display support.
Mind now lad’s shout yer fucking hearts out.
As one lad wrote which I laughed like fuck when i read it crappin my cracker’s.
On On On. WE can do this TOGETHER.
Stretford End Flags have been passed a Fergie tribute banner by the Dundee, Fife and Edinburgh branches who have clubbed together to fund the banner. This banner will be placed on the front of East stand tier 2.
Fergie himself has given the thumbs up to this banner and SEF encourages all supporters to bring along their United banners tonight.
SEF members will wave the Tifo flags on the pitch prior to the game and a surfer flag will be put out over the fans heads just before the teams come out.
SEF have paid to obtain the large coloured red/white/black strips that were used on the pitch for the Carling Cup final at Wembley and SEF will look to use these over the coming weeks.
why not asking the guys from stretford end flags, if they could get something with huge green&gold?
@SEF: good timing mate!
personally, am against this late idea we need to be at our best to kick the shit out of milan and being late won’t help the matters.on another note, why don’t we get fully behind the team and if by any chance we are gurranteed of qualification leave the stadium ? let’s say maybe the last 10 or so minutes….by that we shall have passed the massage and passed over milan
People who don’t renew their season tickets are only hurting themselves IMO
Green and gold can take a backseat today. The game is more important than anything else.The fans should make themselves heard and get behind the team
I hope its a Roma type atmosphere, put the fear of god in to the italians.
I’ll be there at the normal time. I go to United to shout for the team. All the other stuff is a pain in the arse but I’ll never be able to turn my back on the lads.
Well said King George..I agree a 110%…
The team is most important..by doing all these boycotting stuff at such a crucial time in the season..is a load of bull..whoever does that is a fuckin’ twat…maybe all the fans can get together after the season is over and vent our frustrations…As for now..fuck the glazers…lets stick to football and support our team…we all love man utd and we all want the best for our club..but i think boycotts and all these other stuff..will only affect our team..
No question that all of us want the same outcome tonight. We can park the ownership/debt politics for another day. Is tomorrow good for you guys?
Today is about winning. Fuck the protests. Another day.
@james f
In some ways if people do decide to do this I would be so tempted myself if I was in charge of banning then from the stadium for life for betraying the team
Any protest should “DO NO HARM TO THE CLUB” otherwise those who do it are no better than the Glazers as they are doing exactly what they accuse the Glazers of doing (Damaging the Club)
Hopefully though people come to their sense and just stick to the Green and Gold so the team have the support they need and deserve
@SEF
Perhaps you can enlighten us on the Banner policy at the club as you seem to be in the know. Theres all these stories about the Anti Glazer banners being taken down solely because they are anti Glazer but I wonder if there may also be other reasons based on general rules on banner. Do banners/flags need pre approved by the club, are there size limits or limits on how they can be placed (Especially when hung off a tier) or is it actually a free for all?
i think fergie was hinting at this when he talked about the first 15 mins in san siro being shocking. I’m all for the green n gold campaign, but i’m more for the team so hope there’s no such protest. Not tonight anyways
Banners hung over tiers cannot be any taller than 1.2 metres in height, ideally they need to be 1.1 metres. Anything over that size, will be removed when play is on.
Banners cannot be draped over the scoreboards or block aisles and safety gates.
Banners are not encouraged to be placed over the Stretford End banners, basically as its pointless covering one banner with another.
Obviously banners cannot contain swear words or anything thats offensive.
With regards to protest banners anything with the words “Hate, Kill, die, yank” on will be removed.
The SEF banners have to have full fire certificates on them in order to be fixed to the stands, as these are classed as a fixture of the stand.
If your taking in your own banner, you shouldnt need this.
Small flags in 2 sticks are allowed, as long as the sticks arent thick or arent long poles.
Thinking of having your own flag made? Then Flaglady on the SEF forum is very good at making them or Barmy Flags come with our recomendation (They make the SEF banners).
It seems bizarre that we can take in banners on sticks but we’re not allowed to take in a bottle with a lid.
no boycott please every game is a final from now on we all want glazers out the only way is to not renew your season tickets if you boycott it doesn’t hurt him much because you’ve already paid your money.
LUHG
come on guys don’t give the bitters what they want seeing an empty old trafford we can get rid of the glazers without hurting the team.
@SEF
Cheers for that. Very informative and certainly seems to offer an explanation as to why many of the Anti-Glazer banners/Flags have been removed especially the big one drapped over the tiers that the removal has caused so much outrage in the comment on blog posts like here. (Guessing it also explains why Wembley removed them too)
He’s right, whether you are pro Glazer (if you could be pro!) or anti Glazer we are all pro United so it doesn’t matter what colours we wear United are the common denominator.
For those who doubt that UTD fans will stay away from OT next season then read this:
Manchester United face the biggest potential exodus of season ticket holders with 15% giving up going to games entirely while another 44% will only buy tickets when it suits them. United, currently facing supporters-led green-and-gold protests against the Glazer family, who own the club, could see up to 59% of fans cancelling season tickets with Wolves the next most at risk in the Premier League with 54% of supporters considering giving up for next season.
Taken from The Daily Mail:

If it gets the Glazers out the fans will hurt the owners where it hurts most – in the pocket.
And once the Rks have finalised their business plan most fans will welcome the Glazer’s exodus.
Bit of inspiration for everyone

Oh dear, Wakey/Tufty/SEF conducting a conversation with himself. *CRINGE*
Unlucky tonight, Wakey & Paul H. The place was absolutely rocking with anti-Glazer songs and yet again it proved the perfect soundtrack to another brilliant United win. So much it for damaging the team, eh?
Big thanks to Mister David Beckham for proudly wearing the green & gold scarf and giving the anti-Glazer campaign his backing and ensuring even greater worldwide exposure. He’s a true red.
What a night!
