Fergie: I think ‘crikey here we go’ when GNev comes to my office

Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed the natural ability of Gary Neville when it comes to a future career of being a manager. Fergie admits that he gets nervous when GNev comes to his office to fight a youngster’s corner.

“He has definitely got coaching qualities,” said Ferguson. “He’s a leader and already looks after the young players at the club. I don’t know why they’ve got Gary. The ones he’s looked after owe him a large debt. When I see him about to come into my office on their behalf I think ‘crikey here we go’. But really I’d rather deal with him because I know he’s looking after the player’s interests.”

    What a legend.

Gonna be so gutted when he hangs up his boots but what makes it even worse is the amount of stick he’s getting this season. Honest player and a natural leader.

    Ps. 35 Years!!!

He may have not been at his best since 2007 but we can’t forget what a fantastic player Gary Neville was for us. He lives and breathes United and I hope he sticks around Old Trafford when he does retire…. A player who actually wears his heart on his sleeve. Top man!

  8. TonyBee says:

Just imagine if he gets the job that has been touted for him on SkySports as replacement for Gobby Gray….fuck me will he teach all them ABU’s some manners….

Gary Neville is a legend. I thought we wouldnt see a fullback at United as reliable as Dennis Irwin again but then again we are blessed. Whoever will take over the reigns from Sir Alex I would like his assistant to be Gary Neville. I think he will be a good link between United future and United past and he already has the respect of everyone at the club including the fans.

On another note, Id like to ask where is the watchdog that looks after the press. Whatever happened to selling an item (newspaper) claiming false truths. This I thought was illegal. In the case of newspapers its allways been a bit of a grey area but they seem to have got worse – how that is possible. According to the press today:
We will definately bid for DeGea
We have signed Henderson for £20million
    We may get Charlie Adam
We’re close to completing a deal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Not much room in the squad for Valencia Carrick Scholes Giggs then??
Retards. DeGea No – I dont like latino goal keepers they dont get involved in the rough and tumble as much as the germanics do despite all the protection from referees.
Henderson No – I have never really got the idea of him and I certainly dont think hes an Alex Ferguson type player, I prefer Rodwell.
Charlie Adam has qualities, useful ones but Id need to see alot more,
    Same with the saints boy.
Good to see Fletcher get rewarded even though Id like to see his role defined a little bit more at OT. Im never quite sure whether hes one of two defensive midfielders and he doesnt run into the box often enough to be an attacking midfielder ala Scholes and even his youthful running on the right seems to have got lost along the way. Good player mind Just an odity for me, Im never really ever convinced hes played a good game or not, saying that Ive hardly ever said hes had a bad one. But I suppose thats the beauty of his play.

  19. Stevie the CUNT says:

The LOYAL & BIG-TIME LOSERPOOL supporter TORRES had handed in his transfer request. What a big joke about loving the club. Lots to learn from GNev, Scholesy and Giggsy what loyalty is about.

    Sorry, off topic there.

Come on Incey. Knock the Shitties out.

  20. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Oh and a big fat fuck off NO to Jose bloody Enrique coming to OT, that is just garbage. Play road kill instead.

Richards off for City here comes the panic buy

  21. C.Hughesmufc says:

Have chelski made another bid for Mrs Torres yet? ? ? ? ?

  22. Stevie the CUNT says:

C.Hughesmufc… making a bid for Mrs Torres is John The Pussylicker Terry’s job.

  23. smartalex says:

    Notts County 1:1 city

A replay in a desolate wasteland awaits. Should be good for a laugh.

  24. willierednut says:

Goat – IMO, De Gea is the best young keeper in Europe. The problem with him, is getting him out of Spain. Henderson isn’t one I’d buy, but the boss seems keen on him. Charlie Adam story is a load of bollox. Probably leaked by someone from Balckpool, to make the dippers up their price. Chamberlain looked good yesterday, but I don’t think anything will happen, until the summer.

  25. vika09 says:

Doubt he’ll become a world class manager. But a coach I am sure he will excel as.

  26. C.Hughesmufc says:

News just in ….. CHELSEA UP THEIR OFFER FOR TORRES……

They are now offering 35mill, two lumps of dried dog-shit, one old pre Alex Reid Katie Price fanny hair, 2 used condoms found in a skip, Richard Keys new autobiography entitled ‘I fucked it up my way’, an x-ray of Paul Gascoigne’s liver and a video of John Terry missing the penalty in Moscow…….

Liverpool are holding out for an extra lump of dog-shit

  35. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

Thanks for the insight. I dont watch the spanish league anymore as its just like watching the Italians. There is only two clubs in it and the Deportivos and Valencias dont come up with any challenge anymore so I dont get to see talent from down there. My thought was just a generalisation and probably gets the backs up of most but that being life bla bla bla. I cant see how a 20 year old spaniard has enough experience and knowledge to be Manchester Uniteds No1. I have no doubt, if you know your goal keepers, hes a good prospect but what a risk to take.
Id prefer Adler or Neuer. Experienced in teams that have made the championsleague and decent international experience. And still the right age of 30 to boot.

  36. TonyBee says:

Crawley Town manager having an orgasm…..Crawly Town Chairman rubbing his hands together

And Andy Townsend already practising saying that Crawley Town should have a penalty and were better than Utd

  37. willierednut says:

Goat – I don’t think we’ll get De Gea anyway. Neuer has been linked with a move to Bayern. Adler is a United fan, but he’ll cost a few quid, so I don’t that will happen either. The lad at Ajax seems the favorite atm.

Beckham to Spurs loan deal is off!

  46. wakey says:

    @willierednut

Adler’s United release clause will make him cheaper than we could ever hope to get De Gea or Neuer. In theory the Ajax guy would be the cheapest option but Ajax often play hard ball so perhaps not.

  47. Dave Malaysia says:

Gary Neville Legend. Love and respect for Gary and family.

Fergie’s words means the open position for reserve team manager is possible,if Warren Joyce can stay asst.manager.

Means Gary is already working with the kids at some level which is good.

I want Gary as a coach at Manutd.

  48. Manchuchu says:

  50. bobkoh says:

It will be soon before John Terry makes a play for…..Mrs Torres! and he will not apologize!

  51. Doghouse says:

I think if anything Neville is too honest and forthright to be a great manager, but definitely a great coach and a great assistant. It sounds odd I know, but I just think a manager needs to be, if not untrustworthy, then at least unpredictable. Look at how Fergie handled the Rooney affair as a case in point, nobody saw that coming. He’s been in charge that long, he’s dealt with so many high profile players, so many situations, and yet he’s still able to surprise people. I don’t think that is in Gary’s nature, you can see that by how crazy he goes for the team, he’s an open book.

Have to say though, if United do manage to convert many of our legendary players into legendary coaches, we’re going to stay on top for decades to come. People don’t talk nearly as much as they should about coaching staff, but if you look at United’s success over the last two decades, think where it has come from, it’s the alchemy our coaches perform. As an individual Fergie takes the lion share of the credit, of course, but the coaching staff are vital. The players that have been greatest for United under Fergie are rarely the big players bought in their prime, they are usually the uncut diamonds brought in young, or the hungry home grown kids. Without the capacity to refine talents like Ronaldo and Nani, or to nurture players like Scholes, Fletcher, Gibson and Cleverly pretty much from scratch we’d be proportionally weaker, and frankly, we’d probably not win a damn thing.

I mean if you look at Liverpool under FSW, or Chelsea, there you’ve got clubs where players generally stagnate, or even get worse. Little or nothing coming up from the academy, weak squad players and the star players just marking time, rarely working on their game. You can win stuff with teams like that, but your squad is inevitably thinner unless you’ve got infinite wealth, and you’re at the mercy of the transfer market. The only teams at the top end of football that seem to get this are United, Arsenal and Barcelona. The philosophy not only makes for a healthier squad, it makes for one that players respect and want to play for. It’s a very positive cycle.

He loves the club a lot and would do anything. Remember tevez stuff! Time is running out with him and hope he gain back his fitness if not i like to see him coach the reserve team.
