Following the disaster that was David Moyes, an appointment that Sir Alex Ferguson made, Louis van Gaal’s approach to managing Manchester United has been very different to his predecessor.

Whilst the results haven’t been fantastic yet, you can certainly see what Van Gaal’s vision is, and some of the football that has been played at times has been fantastic.

Ferguson has sung the praises of the new manager in a programme that will be aired on MUTV on Monday.

“Louis van Gaal has made a lot of changes,” said Ferguson. “Maybe he’s doing the right and correct thing, to clear the decks and build his own team, because he’s got the experience and coaching ability to do that. He’s got the reputation to do that. I think the way he’s approached it is brilliant.”
