Fergie Ready For Mourinho… After Humiliating Defeat

Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of Sampdoria at the weekend. To add insult to injury, the 14th placed team went down to ten men with half an hour still to go!

With the second leg of our Champions League game still to come, Ferguson is anticipating the visit of Mourinho with the usual bottle of wine.

“I have got a good one ready for him,” said Ferguson. “The great thing about Jose is he can laugh at himself and is able to separate what happens on the pitch and off it. He might lose a game but you can still have a conversation with him about anything and everything after it. It is important for managers to be able to communicate with each other and forget the game no matter what the result.”

  2. costas says:

If Roma and Sampdoria could score 3 against them, then United will surely find 2 in them.

  3. Adam says:

With the Serie A title all but wrapped up, I’m assuming Mourinho rested his star players with Wednesday in mind?

  4. BE$HER says:

now the grand master of mid games is putting him in a comfort zone. i really pity the guy. it is just unfortunate SAF is too old to run down the old trafford touch line.

  7. SULLY says:

I’ve always respected people who forgets everything what happened in the game and you can have a chat with them about anything. That’s sportsman-spirit in my book. You’ve got to have a different approach towards peopld on and off the field. And Sir Alex has just confirmed my respect for TNSSO ( But then again that does’nt mean I want him at Old Trafford after Sir Alex, far from it )

Adam, only Ibrahimovich was missing. Every one from Zanetti to Bonatelli to Adriano to Materazzi was invovlved, and they bottled it big time!

  9. Revanth says:

    like anon said

    only ibrahimovich was rested

  10. AlphaRS says:

Sampdoria may have beaten Inter Milan 3-0 but United still couldn’t score against them.

AlphaRs – wait until the two legs are over before you start crowing. I seem to remember that ASRoma did pretty well in the first leg a few years ago – at home – and then were surgically dismembered at OT.
