Fergie, Real Madrid and Rooney Put Transfer Rumours To Bed

Wayne Rooney has reiterated his stance on his Manchester United future on a couple of occasions this week.

But in case there was any doubt, further confirmation of Rooney’s future has been given today.

“Wayne made his declaration, but we knew that. He doesn’t want to leave here,” said Ferguson. “We are sure of where the speculation is coming from. It is not his agent and it is not Wayne. But we’ll deal with that.”

The Real Madrid president, Jorge Valdano, is also clueless as to where the rumours have come from.

“He is extraordinary, very, very good,” said Valdano. “Rooney is English, we all know they find it difficult to adapt to another type of competition other than the Premier League. He is a very interesting player but we have not ever been interested.”

was never gonna happen and will never happen.Saying that i feel someone needs to reduce the pressure a bit on Rooney. Whenever he has had an off day we have lost or drawn and no one else has stepped up which is a touch worrying.

  5. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

i think im on board with Rooney been the 3rd King

  6. SteniS says:

Hah, Valdano’s just being bitter ’cause Wayne won’t sell his soul to those scumbags at the Bernabeu. Wayne could play anywhere.

  7. Callum says:

If they’re not coming from Rooney or his agent you’d think they’d be coming from Madrid. And Valdano’s “Wayne couldn’t adapt to La Liga” comment just seems a touch too provocative for me to entirely trust them.

  8. willierednut says:

Sling your hook valdano, wazza’s going no where.

  9. United4eva says:

We know where the rumours started: MARCA. Valdano is only running his mouth because Rooney rejected the chance of going to Spain as soon as it was floated by him. In their minds everyone in the world wants to join Real Madrid and that illusion is maintained by insisting they’ve never been turned down when they’ve wanted a player. Rooney’s just done that so they’re acting like it was all a media thing and they never actually wanted him.

    Jokers!

Clean up this article and make sure you get the facts right. Jorge Valdano is the current Director General of Real Madrid CF not the President.

  11. redkhan says:

    HAHAHA..ishaq..that was a good one.

If those bloody bastard viruses really was not interested in rooney, why did not they come out earlier and say this. It is only until rooney said that he is not bloody interested in going to their fuckin’ virus cell that Mr. Valdano had the audacity to say that madrid is not interested. You bloody spanish hypocrites. You think everyone wants to come play for your miserable idiotic clubs and when u get someone like rooney saying no to your bloody advances, u come out and say that u never were interested. U are just fuckin’ covering your ass and embarrassment that a player of rooney’s caliber would not go to your fuckin’ toilet. Manchester United is just as big or maybe even bigger then u fuckin’ fairies. Don’t flatter your selves by thinking you are the best club and that is the only place for footballers to go. Twats!!!

GLORY GLORY MAN UTD!!! Fuck off u viruses and fuckin don’t ever come back to Manchester thinking u could nick another player off us.

  13. wayne says:

valdano’s comments are just a bunch of nonsense, roony is world class and could play in any league in the world because he chooses to stay in england is a different matter, god why is everyone connected to real such a slime bag

  14. Mic says:

Beckham has adapted well in Italy, Spain, America and England and he’s not half the player Rooney is (still top though!) bit racist to say the English can only play in their league innit? It’s like saying the Spaniards find it difficult to stay on their feet….because they’re diving little cheating fucking pussies :)

    ROOOOOOOOOONEY

  15. 7seagulls says:

rooney would never go to the virus, vida on the other hand’s looking more likely, especially with the signing of smalling, what do you guys think? im thinking of shagging vida’s wife so he sacks her off but theres a good chance hed fucking murder me… worth it

  16. John Ferry says:

It’s not that Rooney couldn’t adapt to La Ligua, it’s that La Ligua could adapt to Rooney. Get yer facts straight son !!!

  17. rooney the new king says:

like I say I dare the glazers sell rooney I dare them and they will feel the fans fury

  18. Fze123 says:

Hah. How easy would Rooney find La Liga? Playing there wouldn’t require any effort or energy from him, due to piss poor defending and due to the overall state of the spanish league. Why does Valdano think that he wouldn’t adapt to it? Rooney copes with the bitter cold weather, the aggressiveness and competitiveness of the toughest league in the world. I am sure he would find life so much easier in Spain. Not that I want him to ever play there, of course, but this guy talks bollocks.

  19. red.shanks says:

rooney a complete striker…every team in the world wants him, too bad for others he only want united…

  20. suraj says:

Real madrid destroys clubs and players. They always take advantage. They have stars but for years they couldnt perform better. Shame on you.
