Sir Alex Ferguson has rightly claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo will receive a fantastic reception when he comes back to Old Trafford. At times, he has had a difficult relationship with the Real Madrid fans, whilst United fans still sing his name from the stands, this season more than ever since he left in 2009.
“One thing is for sure, he’ll get a great reception when he comes to Old Trafford and when he comes on the pitch,” Ferguson said. “After that, they can boo all they like! United fans have always been that way with players who performed for us. Players who are part of the history of the success of the club are recognised when they come back. We’re proud of the part we played in his career. To get six years out of a boy when he comes at 17 and played for us for six years, we’ve done well. He always had a hankering to go to Madrid in his career and we helped him on that way. It wasn’t disloyalty because I got another year out of him when he wanted to go the previous year. He honoured that and was fantastic for us. He went with our blessing. My way of looking at it is that we were lucky to have him for six years and the United fans would share that.”

Man Utd News 24/7

Spot on from Fergie. There will be a great ovation as is proper. But once the game kicks off it’s no more mr nice guy. Only time we sing is if we are totally bossing the game, like for Becks. Otherwise, he is the enemy and we need our lads focused.
Hmm don’t know. I wouldn’t call us lucky for holding onto him for 6 years. I’d call us unlucky that we couldn’t pay to keep him around longer. No matter how Ronaldo tried to disguise it, the move was about the money. It was never about joining his dream club imo.
Yeah that would be the best beating those cunts badly then start singing Ronnie is a Red priceless especially if Ronnie is sucking shit.If Utd can eliminate his threat Real are in big trouble
Costas no question mate i made the same point on a different thread he’s Rod Tidwell and the only reason he’s ‘sad’ is because Real haven’t given him a new contract
I am hoping that as long as the tie is in the balance, Ronaldo won’t get any cheers during the games. Once it’s settled, the fans can do as they please. It was a pretty classy move when the OT crowd applauded the other Ronaldo off the pitch when he helped Real knock us out in 2003.
@wayne
Hi mate. That’s exactly what I thought when the saga of him being upset at Real begun. Not that I blame him for it. It’s how footballers are these days. I just groan when I hear nice little fairytales of him wanting to join his dream club and us being lucky (!) to keep him around for an extra year. Not that I dwell on it a great deal but if I remember correctly, he was tied to the club until this year. He was lucky we were willing to break the contract.
Costas mate now Utd are his dream team he loves Sir Alex,the club and fans and misses us all so much the irony
@wayne
Probably until Real remind him why they are his dream club, lol. In all seriousness, it wouldn’t surprise me if he regretted the move in some fashion. Evra is right about the acceptance he had from everyone at United. Plus, in England he was the king. As good as he’s been for Real, Messi has been overshadowing him every year and I suspect it’s not sitting too well with Ronaldo.
Costas i agree mate Utd just decided to start paying big wages a year to late,with him we’d have been a much bigger force,let’s not forget that first loss to Barca Utd were favorites and Utd dismantled Le Arse who back then were considered a top team.In all truth Barca never really became the dream team till Tevez and Ronnie left the club and it was all over wages.I know Tevez is a cunt but if Utd had decided to start paying top dollar a year earlier,Tevez and Ronnie would have stayed,the history books could’ve been different
Tbh i think He was lucky to play for United for 6 year’s. With S.a.f guidance he has become 1 of the greatest ever. I think he knows that deep down. And yeah il clap him when he comes on the pitch and maybe at the end. But in the game i dont want him doing f.a and hope we contain him and frustrate the fuck outa him!
42 goals in his last season …. no way he’ll get dissed. This is a good article. Patrice doing a good job of getting in his head about “coming back home where he was apprecited”!!
http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/165/8349989/respectful-ronaldo-wouldnt-celebrate
cmon guys.
1. .Of course it is always about the money
2. It was his dream
3. when you do your job like Ronaldo did and does, he deserves his money.
4. If you can’t afford him, don’t cry about why he left the club
5. he wants new adventures, cause he did everything here
6. I doubt it, that he regrets his move, because he won the la liga
7. he realised, that even in dreams, there’s not always a happy ending.
8. Madrid doesn’t appreciate him like we did
9. he will never be loved like here
10 only God knows.
bottom line is he has scored in 117 games 126 goals. Tell me, does he deserve his salary?
Whatever Ronaldo OR Messi asks, they deserve it, so there’s no excuse to not raise the salary when the lad scores more goals than he plays.
Sportwise his salary should be raised when he plays like he does.
Human and economy wise, all footballers are overpayed. period.
So don’t go and say he doesn’t deserve his salary.
One thing I don’t get it, it’s always Cristiano liek Ronaldo put it after the interviews. He lad, shows respect for us, loves us, and of course he says only God knows will he come back, that’s respect towards us. When Berbtov does it, he is a legend here. or anyone else.
We know Ronaldo’s ego and arrogance, and I am not naive,
But when our true Legend speaks well about us, he’s only for the money???? cm oooon!
and don’t take it personallu if the lad says good things about mourinho, liek he’s the best or something like this, cause, 1. He plays for him so he has to say that kinda stuff 2. they twisted his words 3. he’s shy.
no hard feelings, but don’t make doublestandards.
IAMUNITED.
Don’t understand what you mean by double standards?
I mean, when Ronaldo talks nicely and very good things about us, and says stuff like maybe he’ll come back.
Your answer is, he is about the money, Real doesn’t pay what he wants, that’s why he says stuff like that. Partially true of course, letäs be real, but he is praising us and everything.
But you say, he’s a douche that betrayed us, aand wants just the money.
when berbatov or nistelrooy or somebody else says good things, we appreciate him and so. When Ronaldo did much more than those guys. No matter how good Ruud was, Ronaldo is abovve.
maybe you now get what I mean
nothing personal, just annoyed.
I think Ronaldo regreted his decision to go to RM. When he was in MU, he thought RM was the team that hewanted to join and gave him all that money. Now he probably has more money than he can spend in his entire life, he will start focusing on everything else that money cant buy. everything else that MU gave him but RM couldnt. Respect from the club, manager and fans.
It basically goes back to what SAF said about cows and the neighbour.
He’s says good things about us because he’s working Real for more money just like when he played for us Real was his boyhood dream things are now reversed so Utd are the club he loves and he’s soooooo sad at his dream club.This isn’t rocket science and he is a douche not loyal to anyone but himself and his only interest is to become a world brand like Beckam that’s the reason he’d already copyrighted CR7 or 9 a year before he left Utd
Got to be fucking naive if you believe anything else,nothing to do with how good he is as a footballer,he’s just a selfish cunt working the system
@Wayne … I’ll be at OT singing Viva Ronaldo with 75,000+ I’ll try to spot the bitter one getting angry and introduce myself to you!
Dave Mack have no idea what that even means if you think Ronnie is a angel with no ulterior motives then ok.i’m not bitter at all at the time he put the fans through so much bullshit every transfer window i was pleased to see him go,now he’s doing exactly the same with Real.Nothing to do with being bitter just seeing things clearly
ill be singin viva ronaldo post and pre match then in it i ll stay silent and not boo!!it spurs him on definetly!
i got this feeling he’ll score though,hope am wrong
From the telegraph:
Ferdinand is yet to say whether he plans to extend his contract at Old Trafford but the club have been linked with Argentina’s £15m-rated defender Ezequiel Garay.
Ezequiel who?
Wait a minute. We are one of the biggest clubs in the world and yet we were lucky to have a young talented inexperienced lad whom we transformed into a superstar. I am confused with SAF’s statement.
When Rooney asked for big money during ambition gate saga almost everyone abused him for that. Now it looks we should thank Rooney because its due to him that we are now ready to spend big on salary and get players like RVP.
I’m portuguese and I can tell you that everybody in Portugal prefer Cristiano in Manchester instead of Madrid. Spanish people can’t handle with portuguese success even more on their country. You shouldn’t really believe in every story about Cristiano and Mourinho when these come from Spain, more specifically from Marca.
I don’t care about him
the bottom line is that ‘he is not loyal”
just hypocrite who talks good about the club
so the fans can not hate him about the move to the virus.
He wanted new challenges?
nooooooooo
he wanted the money ‘full stop’
your beloved soldier shifting to your enemy
then your smiling…
he betrayed us because of the money…at united the possibility of him breaking the records was higher
winning trophies
“he wanted new challenge because he was bored about the club,so he is not the true lad
he is praising the club because it played the part in his platform,,,but he doesn’t love the club really
we will welcome him well
but after that the song is “GIGGS,GIGGS HE IS AWASOME THAN MESSI!
can anybody please tell me when tickets for man utd vs real madrid at old trafford go on sale?am having so much difficulty trying to get news about this…am goin to the next few home games but cnt get any info about this particular game….anyone?
@ zigoo tickets for real madrid are not yet on sale your best bet is to keep looking at the website.that
suggests buying a season ticket if thats any help.!.
Off topic – our midfield; should we go for this guy to replace Scholes : http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20769208 – has anybody seen him play before.
From what I’ve just read from, he appears to be better than our Nick Powell. Any thoughts??
Coming home on the train from derby a few years ago is a day I will remember for the rest of my life young and old reds on the platform waiting for the leeds train to come through the anticipation of trouble which to be honest filled me with intrepidation which soon passed all the way back to manchester the carriages were filled with the songs spelling out our love for the portugese star who stood in front of us gesturing with his fingers the number of attempts (5) to make the breakthrough thanks ronny viva ronaldo
@zigoo 09:17 the hme leg tickets will b available frm 8am on Tuesday the 22 of January m8 until Thursday the 14th of feb.
Sori not tickets. Applications for tickets i ment.
Garay is a journeyman defender, moving from club to club. Not someone who will interest us
In United seems to be a case of DOUBLE STANDARDS when it’s for portuguese players.
So, if Ronaldo after doing everything about this club, and he informed alot earlier, before getting big, that his dream was Real Madrid.
yes he talked about it, but like SAF said, he got from him another year, so Ronaldo would have not talked about it, if he had got the transfer earlier, but like usual SAF was smart in this case.
So based on your points, when Ronaldo talks good, and respects the club, and even says that he would love to come back, even though I think it’s impossible. He is the devil???
And when someone else who has departed from the club, says good things and says that the yregret or something like that. They are saints?
So if the one of the two’s best players of the world, beyond others, for me and rest of the world, even SAF is a United Legend, a guy that scores for fun, and an ex-player shows love for us. He is the devil?
CM OOOOOn!!!! guys, is it an english mentality, that makes you think like this? Nobody hates him for moving to another club, a club that he always talked about, so it was no surprise. If Rooney had moved, btw forgiven 99% and 1% is always remembered from me, then he would have been an hypocrite. Because he always talked how he wanted to stay, and suddenly wanted to move.
Ronaldo in the other hand always talked about the move, played an extra year, where he played like a champion, got us into the final of champions league.
in 2009 Ronaldo scored the header against InterMilan, the SCREAMER against Porto, and those super double goals against Arsenal. And you still complain for him leaving?
Cmo ooon, from this page, I will make an petition for Ronaldo to come back, and pay him his 300 000K a week. HE IS WORTH it, if United couldn’t see it, or Real Madrid, they are crazy.
And the case with United was, 1. Ronaldo wanted the move 2. they got 80-90mil 3.they couldn’t afford him.
Look at Barcelona, they pay Messi what he is worth it, and that’s why Ronaldo deserves the same, if you can’t afford him, buy anotehr player.
BTW. Sportwise his salary should be raised when he plays like he does.
Human and economy wise, all footballers are overpayed. period.
You’re clueless if you think it’s about the money – he’s already extremely rich, it’s rude to insinuate he left for that reason.
@WeAreUnited
One difference between Berbatov and Ronaldo was that one chose to join the club even though someone made a bigger offer, while the other left the club when someone was offering more. That’s why Berbatov comes off as more sincere. That withstanding, I honestly believe both are honest when they talk about their love for the club.
I don’t blame Ronaldo for leaving. He wanted to make the kind of money he thought he should be making. That’s football. And we were 80 million richer for it. But should I be grateful to him for sticking around another year? No. His commitment to the club was until 2012, not 2009. He (or we) can make all the scenarios we want about his “boyhood fantasy” to play for Real, but if he was offered 200-250k per week by United in 2008, he would have forgotten all about it. Just like Vidic’s family starts loving the Manchester weather again everytime he signs a new contract.
Didn’t say he’s the devil but he’s always been in it for Ronnie,he knew a full year before he left he was going wonder how many times that season he said he loved Utd and wasn’t going anywhere? 20?,50?100?
Every transfer window Utd fans would have to live through hell with his boyhood dream bullshit so surely once he went to his dream club all of the uncertainty would end but it didn’t maybe first season.
it’s all to do with Real not giving him a pay raise.Now the shoe’s on the other foot and instead of boyhood dream it’s how he loves everything about Utd.Call me cynical but as Utd fans we’ve already seen his antics to get more money and Sir Alex accommodated him something like 5 times,i believe once Real gives him the 12.5mill contract he’s after Ronnie won’t be sad anymore.You believe different fine but i’ll tell you one thing only way Ronnie would come back to Ot is if we showed him the money
To suggest some of us have double standards is completely absurd,imo Nani hasn’t produced much since the beginning of last year, had a poor end and a very poor beginning,i personally don’t think he’s worth a 40k a week pay raise but what really pissed me off is the way he handled it.It wouldn’t have mattered what nationality the player was by going to the press this summer and coming out with i love Man Utd but who knows what the future holds was saying pay me or else,he’s also made statements through the course of the season.
Look at players like Evans,Cleverly,Rafa,Welbeck,Hernandez all got new contracts but none went to the press with threats to leave,look at Ando it’s been tough for him he’s also said the right things about how he wants to prove he belongs
imo Nani has handled himself poorly,he’s got all the skill in the world but his problem has always been consistency at a club like Utd a player has to maintain a high level or he just isn’t good enough and the problem with Nani instead of getting on with it and proving his worth he’s sulked all year.
Why wont Fergie splash the cash on Fellaini. Drop him infront of the defense, stick Rooney and Kagawa infront of him in attacking mid roles, Valencia and Nani out wide(or Young) and Rvp up top. Sound like a team that could do the treble to mr
Why is there a need to discuss why he left? Its like your girlfriend asking for a breakup because her head got turned and you did nothing wrong. So thats it. Is there a need for hate? No. The fact is that we recovered our title from Chelsea and won the CL with his help, and that is the only thing we need to remember. He could have become a legend here, to be remembered with the likes of George Best & Sir Bobby Charlton, but he chose to leave, and now he won’t have his legacy. Yes his goal scoring record is crazy, but somehow the feeling is that he is never going to attain the same status as Raul, Zidane and even Hierro. He scares defenders, but the star dust that sets even opposition fans’ heart racing is not there
So glad people can see Ronnie talk of dream team is just hogwash.i have no beef with him,but asking me to feel grateful cos he stuck around, no thanks.
Cheer him when he’s coming on or going off a.d that’s it. Let’s focus on Madrid not Ronaldo. We do that,maybe just maybe people will see why the other fellow is miles ahead of him, plus that’s probably the only way to beat Madrid. As a team not looking to stop individuals. One game at a time,Swansea is up next. Any word on Ando? Disappointed shinji is not in contention.hopefully he’s ready next week
Always Be Closing the only one who’s clueless is you when he left for Real pretty well doubled his wages and what’s his problem now he’s at his dream club but is still saaaad poor little Ronnie. Goggle Ronaldo and why he’s sad,It’s common knowledge he want’s the same contract as Messi 12.5 mill plus bonuses
You lads seen this a strange one
http://www.thenews.pl/1/5/Artykul/122245,Lewandowski-transfer-to-Man-United-%E2%80%98done-deal
WS to PSG i’m really confused about this team are going to be running millions in debt so will not pass the fair play rules,so spending all this money to dominate French Football seems redundant to me
http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/wesley-sneijders-wife-reveals-january-transfer-pla
Top posts Costas, Wayne and Slim.
Wayne – PSG make me fucking sick pal. The same shithouse little club like City and malaga. Sneijder is one fucking greedy little cunt. But oh no he will go to PSG for the prestige.
Got to say I am not a big fan of Lewandovski. No pace or anything. We don’t need him.
KE
How’s it going my man,yeah getting sick of the ronnie stuff already. Much rather focus on the game on Sunday.
Lewandovski is quite good and personally I think he’d be a hit here,but you’re right,we probably don’t need him. Still got Danny and Hernandez waiting to cement their places,having roo and van p is all the education they need,bringing another striker would be harsh. Don’t forget we got the guy from Chile over the summer. So nah probably don’t need him,quality striker though.
Slim – Hey up pal. Good thanks you? Just leaving work. Yeah he is a decent striker but don’t see where he would fit in unless Rooney is gonna permanently drop deeper which i can’t see.
last time, and then I will concentra in United, cause that’s what all about of course.
But when yoru name is Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, you deserve what you ask, no matter is it your dream club or not. People move on.
Anyway, that lewandowski deal would be a strange one, that could mean that we are selling one of our strikers? or dropping Rooney deep, which is a mistake in this stage of his career.
@KingEric, yeah, that’s what I though also, unless Rooney is dropped deep or someone is selled, there’s no reason of buying Levandowski,
which is for me a good striker, the only one that I can see him replace is Welbeck, and I don’t want that to happen.
Maybe welbeck is put to the wide? rumours rumours.
KE
Tough,hate working weekends. Hope you have a fun job.
Yeah I guess that’s the main point isn’t it. Fitting hom in would be difficult, unless there are departures in the forward line and the midfield.
VIVA RONALDOOOOOOOOOOOO
VIVA RONALDOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
VIVA RONALDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
United!!!! United!!! United!!!! oooooooooo robin van persieeeeeeeeeeeeee…….
couldn’t let it go, no matter was it about the money or not, are we Arsenal to let go our best players? NO. so it wasn’t about the money, we got 80 freakin mil from him, we got trophies from him, we MADE him what he is, he shows respect for us, loves us and everything, and you make him an asshole. HE never talks shit about us, do you believe in rumours? his words are twisted liek always, he is public enemy number 1 in the football world.
He’s arrogant, but he was arrogant when he played here, and we loved him. RONALDO!
I am an David Beckham era supporter, from 1998 when I saw becks playing for england, I wanted to support the team he played, and then fell in love with the club, and that’s the priority.
So I haven’t seen cantonas etc, but for me personally Ronaldo is my Cantona, so when you bash him and say he was unloyal, it’s ridiculous for me, no matter what. I don’t see that.
bitterness is not good, he left, he left, he got the money he wanted WELL he deserved it!!
Why didn’t we keep him, maybe we afforded him, do you know that??? how do you know? maybe Real Madrid is really his dream and because they don’t show respect like they should for him after 126 goals in 117 games, then they are delusional and he should move on!
Maybe we will show the respect (I doubt it) buy him back and pay what he asks? could it be possible? Like I said I doubt it, but he needs the respect, he thought that dreams have happy endings, well he sees that it’s not the case and maybe, just maybe he wants back. how do we know?
RONALDO COME BACK½!
now I am finished, and will concentrate in United, don’t get me wrong, just feel that supporters here forget it too fast and hate the lad, forget his attitude, look at his results.
peace and no hard feelings mates!
SAF :
“I’ve been very fortunate in having [Paul] Scholes and [Ryan] Giggs. I’ve had fantastic players – [Eric] Cantona. He’s certainly in that bracket as one of the best I have managed, there’s no question about that.”
peace.
Weareunited
Na Ronnie looks like an arsehole all by himself. Don’t get it twisted mate. Dont even care if it was for the money. His attitud/arrogance never sat well with me ans was kinda glad when he left because I knew if United overcame his departure we’d be stronger for it and here we are getting stronger with each passing season. Fair enough we don’t have that star status player but so what? We don’t have to pander to anyone or play for a certain player. He made his choice, I’m happy,if he isn’t happy I couldn’t give q monkey. He made his bed,,let him fucking sleep in it, playing second fiddle to messi.
He will never better the Argentine. And he knows it. You have to be born a messi,you can train/work hard to become Ronaldo.
Who said anything about hate he just needs to be honest,while at Utd it was all about his boyhood dream in the meantime Sir Alex gave him 5 pay raises,now he loves everything Utd and he’s sad because Real aren’t giving him what he wants.If you love someone or something money isn’t the main motivator with Ronnie it’s always been that
Have no idea why you keep banging on about how good he is and his contribution to the club no one has disputed that but as a person and the antics he gets up to and the lies he tells everyone when behind the scenes it’s something completely different leaves a lot to be desired imo
You disagree fair enough but you’re not going to change my opinion of Ronnie as a person that doesn’t mean i don’t respect him as a footballer just don’t buy his bullshit like you do
Hrmmm. Maybe its just me. But still couldn’t quite forgive his antics when trying to force his way out of the club. Oh well.
@slim
I agree -> He will never better the Argentine. And he knows it. You have to be born a messi,you can train/work hard to become Ronaldo. THIS is true, I respect him cause he played for us and did what he did.
@wayne
“just don’t buy his bullshit like you do”
Who said I do buy his BS. of course everyone plays for money, we do our job for themoney and not love. Who said I love his arrogance, I just am stating that just because he’s cocky, doesn’ tmean he did not do a good job or desevre what he asks. Messi got what he asked, so he wants the same, what can’t you understand, he needs the respect from his club. again 126 goals in 117games.
He has talked good about us even when he first went to Madrid so I don’t get where your statement about him starting to praise us only now? this I don’t get. and SAF said we can’t afford him, so it’s not like he will come after the money, we don’t have the money BRO!
If it was up to me , I would take Messi over Ronaldo, even though I like Ronaldo more because of his backround. Don’t you get twisted.
And when you go on about his arrogance etc “His attitud/arrogance never sat well with me ans was kinda glad when he left because I knew if United overcame his departure”
OF course we will overcome, we never die, but to be glad that one of the bests in the world leaves is a bit delusional and just an excuse to dislike him as a person. and it makes us no better than Arsenal.
You really have to be crazy and say you were glad he left.
We never were the same without him, UNTIL, and I repeat UNTIL we got RVP!!! and that’s a fact son! Why ROoney were to leave? this can go on and on.
I keep on banging how good he was so you realise that the attitude of the player should be forgotten when you play like ROnaldo does.
It seems sometimes, that United supporters are satisfied when our best players leave. Thank God we got RVP and Kagawa and I pray that we keep Nani. they are the ones that have the attitude. Sometiems it turns good, and sometiems it turns against you, we should know this.
@Raizzen
Rooney forced his way out of us, and realised that it was no good.
Ronaldo did the same, and it was laughable the slave comments, but how do you know it wasn’t twisted. If it was ture, do you rally think a manager liek SAF would have kept him ?
Well the truth is HE KEPT HIM!!!! even though if he said that, thank God you weren’t the manager. And he got 1 more year out of him, and that’s why we were in that great place with him.
THen he left, and me moved on, Nani stepped in, berba stepped in, Rooney stepped in! etc. So yes we always move on, that’s nto the point, We alays move on.
You know what. let’s leave it to agree to disagree. We support United.
IAMUNITED!
TYPOS!
@King Eric
Hi mate. Yeah, I don’t see the point in the Lewandovski signing either. He wouldn’t add much to the squad and our priorities should be eslewhere. 2 midfielders and a winger.
Nothing to do with wanting to see our best players go mate I want players who respect the club and don’t constantly play the club for more money by threatening to leave
There’s no disputing Ronnie was Utd’s best player but don’t quite get your obsession with Nani he’s not even close to being Utd’s best player if he stays or goes won’t make any difference to Utd.
Imo if he wants to stay needs to smarten up because there’s no doubt he overrates himself
@wayne
the funny thing is that I really do think some points like you, I can’t also stand players that don’t respect the club, but sometimes the club is also wrong leaving some players go. But what’s the backround, well none of us will never know, what was behind their cases. We read only the tabloids which always lie.
Just that when you say that you were happy he went and he fools us that he loves the club seems for me crazy, not that you are, but that statement. absurd.
And that’s double standards. Cause when someone else says it, they are saints and it’s true?. It’s always with Cristiano
in my United line-up there’s always a place for Ronaldo and it’s the same with SAF.
Anyway mate!! let’s leave it haha, cause we won’t agree!! for example, in my opinion Nani is our after Rooney and RVP and Kagawa our clubs best player! anyway, can’t wait for tomorrow,
and @costas yeah I also wondered about that rumour, will SAF let Welbz or Chicha leave? hard to believe, drop Rooney at this point of his career deep? hard to say. Welbz as a winger? don’t believe it.
peace!!!!
Shitty grab a win with a dodgy goal! Reading also should have had a penalty but nothing was given! If United had won this way, people would be screaming for the corrupt referee’s head!
I dont understand one thing…why Saf buying so many strikers? Lewandovski, Angelo..we will have to sell someone or someone will decide to go. I have some bad feeling it would be Javier…guy is great, great attitude…if you have 5-6 strikers, when they will play? If Saf would buy mid plalyers like be buying strikers, we would beat Barca
@mara
yeah tell me about it, I don’t want to see chicha go , don’t think so, or either welbz and angelo coming through. Can’t see this be true.
@den didn’t saw the game but 93minute win and they blame us? double standards.
wayne – look at those 6 seasons he was at united, he had 2 great seasons out of 6, it gets on my nerves at the amount of suck ups fans give to this guy. His antics in the summer of 2008 was some of the worst behavior any player could give to the club. I think many have forgotten about that painful summer, when we should have enjoyed that great season
f.i.t.b it’s always the case mate Way we Were never truer lyrics
Memories, may be beautiful and yet
What’s too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget
So it’s the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember…
The way we were…
Ronnie was a total dick that summer,wonder how much Sir Alex had to give him to get him to stay one more year,then going through the season telling everyone how happy he was when he knew he’d be leaving
wayne – we look at rooney, and he was a dick for doing what he done, but all season along with last and this season, he is still trying to show his worth to the fans, yet all we hear with some fans say how we can never forgive what he done, yet everyone thinks ronaldo was so perfect. I do not get why we are linked to ronaldo, when we will need to rebuild the defense and the midfield.
For me, I do not look at the memory’s, because thee was too much tainted memory’s, and the god awful repeats of ronaldo, his family, and his representatives always telling madrid he wants to join them.Some can love him, I look at a different perspective
Why would fergie need to sell anyone if this lewandowski arrives? (still a rumour). Have you ever heard the term “you can’t ever stop improving?” Deary me!
f.i.t.b. can never see Utd paying a 100mill and 300k a week to get him back.With Sir Alex just playing mind games because he’s been through it with Ronnie so knows the deal,i’m guessing he’s loving every minute of it
samuel that link i posted is saying it’s a done deal he’ll be coming to Utd for 15mill
Ronaldo leaving United, be it for the sake of money, fame, challenges or childhood dream is not really an issue to me. Many people work for the money and they would change a job when they see the opportunity arise. So, what can we say about him? It is his choice and his opportunity. Besides, United got so much money from his sales. If he is looking for fame, well he is now one of the best in this era and proven he can play anywhere. If it is for the challenge, he already got a large challenge to topple Barcelona. If it is his childhood dream, he already made it to Real Madrid.
Maybe many fans are bitter about him leaving but no point we think bad about him. Our focus now is to win. But looking back at him, he scored a large amount of goals for Real Madrid, but unfortunately, Real is not good enough to compete with Barcelona. Real Madrid only won once in the La Liga in his 4 years. This year, Real perform badly in their domestic. C. Ronaldo suffered from humiliation and will always be second to Messi.
IMHO, maybe it was a wrong move for him to go to Real Madrid. If he had stayed, maybe United might be much stronger. He might always be compared to Messi but no one can really tell who is better since they played in different leagues. He might have become a United’s legend besides Sir Bobby, Jack Rowley, Denis Law and George Best. However, the choices were made and nothing can changed. Real Madrid is not winning much in recent years. Now, he is unhappy there and his childhood dream perhaps turned into nightmare. Although I had no hard feeling for him leaving United, but I don’t see any chance for him to return to United. If he wish to return, we should just welcome him. There is no need to boo him even during the match, it will only show the immaturity of United fans in front of the others. Definitely, we are better than the other fans, right?
Firstly THANK YOU @slayer, people seems not to get those points you said.
And are you others serious? Only 2 seasons you say haha. He arrived at the age of 18, very young. So he needed to develope and he had 6 seasons here. He started playing after the 2006 incident.
His breakthrough happened in 2006/2007 where he scored 17 goals and assisted 16 I think. After that everything is history as we know it.
From 6seasons he had 3 EXELLENT seasons. How can you then talk when you have the ecidence of his greatness and what he did for us.
He was so young when he came, needed to develope and when that happened, it took one season and a world cupto tough him up, so he becomes the players he is.
Look at him now. You really are biased, with double standards and delusional. My friend you say ONLY 3 seasons I say ONLY 3 GREAT SEASONS where ManUnited where a force. WOW. AMAZING. lookk at those seasons.
CMON. HE was picked then as the best player of the world. CMON. WHo is wrong here? Like @slayer stated no matter what was the reason, everyone have their reason.
After he left us, he has broken records, imagine if he was still here. AMAZING how people forget and are bitter, when the facts speaks for themselves.
JUST READ @slayers comments.
loving this @slayer

@fergie the boss
look mate, THE thing is, Ronaldo always said he will leave. Period.
Rooney always praised us, and suddenly wanted to leave, fortunately for him and us he didn’t leave.
That’s a different story. After all, Ronaldo didn’t leave, but stayed for another year. Just read my and slayers comments and you get what I am trying to say.
3 excellent seasons? you serious, he had 2 great seasons, and ohis last season was poor at best. Ask PPL like scott etc what he thinks how ronaldo performed, heck go check the achieves on ROM, and you can see how poor he was playing. Never tacking back, having tantrums,not even having the passion to even celebrate with the fans and team mates when he scored. It got to the point whee he was benched, he was playing that badly, he scored 26 goals, Ruud scored that many goals in 2006 for united, still does not mean he was playing well, but he along with berbatov and tevez had poor seasons. I challenge any united fan to prove he was brilliant in the 2008/09 season, because he was god awful. And the world player of the year, was obvious from the 2007/08 season performances.
The story of Lewandowski signing is not so mysterious to me, he is the sort of player we need in the future.let us think about it for a moment, RVP is a fantastic striker and he is the best buy in the Europe so far, but he is on the verge of stepping into his 30 so things will become difficult for any world class strikers in term of injuries and boristency, so its wise to think about who gonna replace him.the best about this deal if happen is the price, he is just the ideal finisher and he is young besides he will join his teammate Shinji.
Perhaps many of united fans know the truth that Giggs and Scholes are both on the twilight of their career, Nani’s departure is on the card so the prospect of adding another striker is not a bad idea to me, may be one creative midfielder will complete our jigsaw puzzle, beside its a very nasty idea if we allow this precious talent to join the likes of Man City or Arsenal…
we are all flightfe about the evolving partnership between RVP and Wayne this season but things might change in the next season, Rooney might take a regular central role with ageing Scholes.we will be invincible force of Europe for the next 5years with 4 main strikers in RVP, Chica, Lewa, and Welbz…the policy here in my opinion is”don’t let the golden fish be caught by your enemy”
@fergie the boss
whatever makes you happy pal, and I don’t care what Scott thinks or wrote.
For me Ronaldo had 3 EXELLENT seasons. 1. he was second in top goal scorers after drogba me think, 2. he always threw tantrums 3. we won the league with his goals and attribute 4. in CL Ronaldo scored the header against InterMilan, the SCREAMER against Porto, and those super double goals against Arsenal. And you still complain and wanting proof? We went into the final. 5. bitterness doesn’t suit us. 6. what did Rooney and the co do in that last season? it’s a team game some would say.
Look, whatever you say, facts say otherwise, the fucking whole world knows he was a beast in that season, maybe not like in the latter, but still, that’s why he also won, one season proved the truth and the latter just made a statement, that the first wasn’t coincidal. So many comebacks that season thanks to Ronaldo.
You just picking some little stupid excuses to make your statement wise. and I have all the facts. What you say is a myth my friend. Like the Nani Inconsistency myth. (exept this season)
Cmon. WOW. absolutley amazing how sometimes United fans think players like oshea (respect) and young (playing so damn good at the moment, hats off) are better than the Ronaldos or Nanis WOW. and the whole other world sees it differently.
peace okey mate, let’s focus for United. cause we will agree to disagree.
I have to add.

The passion to celebrate was at the beginning, is this good enough celebration ->
As soon as Reading weren’t given a penalty, you knew what was coming. But truth be told, better this way. I’d rather our players and manager approached the festive period as less relaxed as possible. After what happened last year, we should only take the foot off the gas once City are 15 plus points behind.
we will never know what will happen before february, but if we were to face Real Madrid tomorrow, I would bet everything that we beat them
I hope we don’t become overconfident and firstly beat Swansea tomorrow, but it’s looking good.
@costas
I found this comment in footyroom from our supporter:
“Arsenal score from a penalty that never was, got a similar pen for a clear dive couple of weeks ago, score an offside goal against QPR.. nobody says a word
City score a controversial winner, has a clear goal scored against them disallowed and clear pen not given to United… nobody says a word.
If it was United instead of City/Arsenal or even Chelsea, the world could have gone bonkers over it saying United paid the refs, FA is always with united etc etc etc”
ABU’s
@WeAreUnited
That goes without saying, It’s only United that get the decisions. Poor McDermott’s complaints will fall upon deaf ears and Mike Dean (a very poor referee most of the time) will once again avoid any negative spotlight simply because he didn’t favor United.
yeah crazy haha.
btw started watching old videos of Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, hargreaves, nani, Fletcher, carrick, ferdinand, giggs, vidic , evra and scholes together in thay 2007/2008
we were a force.
And I have a feeling now when RVP i here and we have Kagawa also, that we are slowly starting to become a force. Let’s hope we stay healthy and get the right players.
BTW. watched Madrids game tonight and ISco teared them apart. WHAT A PLAYER.
Him or Muniain should come to United, then we would be even stronger.
Why don’t you all just blow him off? He tossed you aside and you continue to grovel; bow down; fall at his feet and beg him to come back. Get over him; he’s moved on o bigger and better things. And he ain’t coming back.
Joke club. Joke fans.
Complaining about refs now.
Joke club.
Trolling away at a rivals’ blog on a Saturday night. Joke bitter.
hahaha says a supporter of Chelski who blows drogba who was nothing, or stevie me hahah, or mancitys , well Idon’t know mancity legends so, someone hahaha.
We are ManUtd and we’ll do what we want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a loser how desperate for attention is this cunt
Why am I starting to get the impression that we’ve wasted one year of Fabio’s career with the loan move at that shit hole?
Is this all we’re going to get between now and next February and March? Ronaldo posts?
Frankly, I’m sick of it already.
Jon Philips YOU TWAT! As u sit and read this blog i wonder how sad a fuckin life u have. How about u do 1 you trolling cunt!
Just seen MOTD. Can you imagine if a Utd player had scored that goal Barry did at OT and it was allowed. There’d be a fucking uproar. Their luck has to run out soon.
@weareunited
We will se what time will get us…Saf know what he is doing…i m just not sure i understand that…
So when City does it, it’s luck. But when we do it, it isnt? Lol come on guys. Acknowledge that they are going for thr title. I just hope our boys are up for it! 6 points is NOT a big gap.
Jon. Yeah well done in scraping a dodgy win against a side with NINE POINTS. Good to see the ground half empty again. Small club. Simple as. Your not obsessed with United much are you?
Another defeat for MAdrid with Jose dropping Casillas. That cunt won’t be in charge when we face them. As I have said I don’t fear them at all. So long as we keep key players fit we will despatch of them over 2 legs. The way we have been written off actually offends me. -
this guy thinks, that just because we argue for a thing called Ronaldo, we all prostrate to him.
We Are ManUtd, Ronaldo was just a tip of the ice, don’t be fooled, we are people who can argue and can discuss things properly, but when it comes to ManUtd we wil lfinish you off.
Go and “support” your team, is it chelski this season or mancity? or malaga? or psg? or realmadrid?
try to choose. We are called United cause that is what we are!
@kanchelskis, I will go and watch that goal, was it that bad?
mara says:
@weareunited
We will se what time will get us…Saf know what he is doing…i m just not sure i understand that…
I didn’tr get at which post did you refer this
@kanchelskis just watched the goal of barry, well it was 50 50, he jumped in his neck but why the defender was just standing? I don’t know. I wouldn’t complain if it was us, but would admit that it was a tough call.
Referees should stick sometimes in one solution about freekicks but they change their minds so many times, players don’t know anymore what is a foul or what isn’t
I don’t follow Real closely, but there’s a lot of speculation about why Casillas was dropped. If some of it is true, I understand why Jose dropped him. Plus, they say his form hasn’t been the greatest lately. That being said, it’s obvious Mourinho’s time is running out. And if he has lost control of the locker room,he might get the sack even before the season ends. Don’t know what suits us best, but it is a shame we aren’t playing them right now.
@costas
I follow madrid closely and the La Liga, and they are done and dusted
You can see that Ronaldo is and was their saviour, if he don’t score, they lose.
And I think they have alot of issues inside the team.
No players is performing. So is it Mourinhso fault or whos? crazy stuff.
what where the speculation of why he was dropped? his form has been amazing so it was a shock for me
why ou why we dont’ play them now, well actually it doesn’t even matter.
We have become a force again. CMON!
can’t wait for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!
wayne says:
What a loser how desperate for attention is this cunt
hhaha, those vampirs comes at night, for example you haven’t seen shinji the ninja here anymore hahahah. or has he changed his name to somethign else
wouldn’t be amazed.
@WeAreUnited
If Ronaldo’s form has deteriorated that’s one problem. But their defence is too leakey. Plus with players like Di Maria and Benzema around (I’d say Higuain but I don’t know how often he plays nowdays) they shouldn’t be dependent just on Ronaldo.
I’d say it’s Mourinho’s fault to a degree. He was never particulary good at dealing with prima donnas. His last few months at Chelsea are an evidence of that. Some say that a group of players (like Ramos and Casillas) aren’t too fond of him and as a result, the locker room has become a mess, That might explain the decision he made today.
yeah that’s 100% true what you said, I think Higuain is injured and they have Marcelo out and coentrao didn’t play today for some reasons.
So yes they are leaking alot and their faith has gone, which is good.
Di Maria has been horrendous, and as a Nani fan who can laugh at himself, I think DI MAria has his Nani moment, where he shows glimpses but is just stucked,
As for Benzema, well yes, he is nto a force, which is unbeliavable, I think he suits more to EPL because he would liek the fast football, HE is so heavy when he plays, he has shown glimpses but nothing more, soi they can’t depend on him and only in Ronaldo.
Khedira is a fighter and Alonso almost the same. SO they basically just cover.
Özil has been very good lately, the only spark so he gets my thumbs up. Modric I think made his biggest mistake of his life.
forgot to say that Ithink Higuain is also injured cause havenä’t seen him recently playing.
PS. barcelona is above them and with MEssi in the team, who btw played without Iniesta today and just with Xavi scored an absolute great goal.
He is the player if I had all my money, would pay him 300 000k a week, he is worth it. what a player. anyway so this doesn’t go off topic.
The reason you said about mourinho is also one reason why I prefer Guardiola. we’ll see.
this is a bold statement from Mourinho, I think he and Real Madrid are cracking .
“In my opinion, Adan is better than Iker at the moment. As it’s the coach who chooses, and as I have only as valid opinions of my assistants, we have decided so.”
it means only good for us
WeAreUnited all those sad bastards constantly change their names those twats about as pathetic as it gets.There isn’t anything easy or more cowardly than going on a opposing Fans blog pretending to support the team and just spreading negativity
Since the City game some have never come back(maybe under different names) others Anti Scouser,Joffery the cunt,Diablo breifly.Ninja changed his name to shirt seller,haven’t seen Ice cube or Piablo the gay lover of Diablo
Just all a bunch of cunts mate
Pretty sure Daniel88 is a troll or WUM probably one of those cunts under a different name
@wayne
hahah, better to comfront all bravely and admit being wrong, than doing what they do, but they never were true supporters. Trolling guys who enjoyed their stupidness.
how many times I tried to prove Rooneys worth to us with all kinds of stats him being a big game player, he always SHINJI, tried to explain something, then Rooney played his best game where Iforgave him 99%
it took a while for me hhaha,
and I never said I forgave Ronaldo 99% ;P haha, anyway, so we don’t go off topic mate.
when it comes to United i will stand firm and never say we are damned like many vampire here. It’s a different story when we talk about players, but for ManUtd, bring it! if you dare.
SHINJIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII, where are yoooooooou? I think antiscouser has said some good stuff after the city game also, but I haven’t followed them closely. well it doesn’t matter for me. Everyone are entitled for their opinion, but when it’s for trolling then the yshould get what they deserve.
IAMUNITED
Watching the QPR game saturdays I tape all the prem games,Fabio is QPR’s best defender,sending him on loan is a strange one for me
Daniel88? That aimed at me or someone with that actual name? In any case, nope not a WUM or a cunt, just someone who shares a different perspective
Erm unless You’re Daniel 88 then obviously it wasn’t aimed at you,never seen the user name on here but if you can’t separate your name from someone else’s,not sure what to tell you mate,I do understand intelligence is a gift and really do have apathy for simpletons
Anyone here still thinks Mourinho has the upper hand versus Pep in the who-gets-to-replace-Fergie sweepstakes? His dropping of Casillas today, in my view, has finished him at Real.
Now, if by some twist of fate, he does wind up here anyway and, if the reports of Ronaldo wanting to return to Old Trafford are true, Ronaldo and Mourinho reunite here, I might just have to stop following this team–for health reasons. I would probably retch every time I’d see them on the tv screen together.
Fabio should have never gone to QPR. QPR are bunch of losers. Never liked them. First they didn’t give any chance to macheda. Hardly been selected. Then They sleep for last 3 mins which led city comeback.
And now Fabio is also not playing regularly. He should have gone to wigan or west brom where he would have been the star like Lukaku is and like cleverly was. I am pretty excited about the henriques loan. Let him to go to wigan and then come back a s a better player,
@Arthur “Two Sheds” Jackson
Personally speaking, I wouldn’t say the Casillas decision has changed my opinion of Mouringo for the worst. There have been numerous occasions where Sir Alex has dropped or sold crucial players because he felt they were more trouble than they were worth. Keane, Beckham, Ruud, etc etc. I’d still rather have him than Guardiola. Not that I am discounting Pep, but in my opinion the circumstances were ideal for him at Barcelona (big budget, expensive signings, a family atmposphere, players like Xavi, Iniesta and Messi waiting for him). And he only lasted 4 years. We don’t know how well he would function outside those conditions.
Not that I am bringing up the Mourinho/Guardiola debate again. If it was up to me, I would look elsewhere for Fergie’s succesor.
Morning. Dropping Casillas is seen as a BIG no no by the daft called “Madridstas” He is their golden boy!!
Recent form of Real Madrid is really unlike the Real Madrid I have seen for many years. But looking at how the team turned into, it really concerns me whether picking Mourinho as the next candidate would be a good choice. Although a dip of form is not always a manager’s fault but it is rather concerning. Pep is also a concern since he has lesser experience and has only managed one team. I would prefer that Pep help out in United as assistant for a year or so besides SAF before judging whether he is a good candidate.
Real madrid will give their all in champions league as their league campaign is more or less over. Now if they lose to us and get knocked out (Which I think is quite possible) then Jose’s time will be over. As much as I like Ronaldo I really would want that he doesn’t win the champions League with madrid. No one is bigger than Manchester united and neither is Ronaldo.

@weareunited
A meant on your post 18:14
@mara
got it, same here, I won’t mind a new striker but we have angelo chicha welbz rooney and rvp also will keane coming through, alot of players, but levandowski has experience and maybe he wants to reunite him with kagawa?
crazy stuff. maybe it would me wiser to buy a midfielder, i dont know anymore
SAF about michu
“Michael Laudrup is cherry-picking [in the market] and the boy Michu was a first-class piece of business,” stated Sir Alex. “Just £2million and I’d never really heard of him. I should have a word with my scouting department!”
WeAreUnited – no. he was relying on his 2008 form, I rememeber loads of united fans say we may is well sold him, has he was never the same on the pitch. Look at march april time, against spurs and arsenal, some of the goals going in, he was not tracking back. Against porto at OT, he was fault at a few of the goals
