Fergie: We Tried To Sign Bale As A Teen

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that United tried to sign Tottenham Hotspur star, Gareth Bale, when he was still a kid at Southampton. After our bid failed, he later joined Spurs for £10m and has gone from strength to strength.

“We tried to sign him as a 16 or 17-year-old boy,” said Ferguson. “Southampton had a Scottish chief executive and George Burley was the manager. I don’t know the full circumstances but they didn’t accept our offer and I think they must have alerted Tottenham.”

Fergie is still a fan of the Spurs winger and is praiseworthy of what he’s done this season.

“Bale has made the best contribution without a doubt. Eleven goals for a wide player is a really good return.”

Said it before, will say it again, he’s much too good for Tottenham, and he should be ours.

  2. smartalex says:

Sir Alex rarely misses a trick. That United were on it is a compliment.
Of course it is mind games to mention it now. Bale may be thinking “If only”

  3. GilesFans says:

Yeah but i prefer Nani on the left and Tony on the right…scary isn’t it??

  4. Costas says:

I think he wasn’t sure how many chances he would get, thus prefered Spurs. Rafa will handle him tomorrow.

  5. Corea says:

@Costas – hi mate. yes, so many of this kind of “how many chances i would get” these days for us unfortunately. IFIT

  6. GilesFans says:

@costas: Rafa will make Bale look like he’s from Spurs reserves player…

  7. Costas says:

    @Corea

Yeah, like Ramsey, Bale, or Walcott. It’s become more complicated to do business with other English clubs.

  8. Red Dave says:

Im unsure how happy nani will be to return to the left wing when toni is fit, has anyone got comparisons of assists and goals provided by nani to valencia on the right wing?
if nani is more productive then theres an argument surely to keep him on the right and some attempt made to convert valencia to a cutting in left winger

  9. shannon says:

Your club has to wake up if you want to get the best players at good prices, then you wouldn’t be in so much debt now. Bale is a star and he will see you off tomorrow, too bad.

  10. willierednut says:

If I could sign one player from Spurs, It wouldn’t be Bale.

  11. wayne says:

don’t understand the last sentence why would southampton turn down utds offer and alert spurs? maybe spurs just offered more money

  12. Ash says:

We are generally poor in transfer market.I sometime feel fergie is very much stubborn.Thats why we buy players from unknown places like herandez, bebe,Mb diouf etc.Bale would have been great for us.He would have learnt immensely under giggs.
But who knows maybe he may join us in near future.Hope he does.

  13. GilesFans says:

    @Willie
    LOL…yeah sell Nani, sign Bale

  14. Ash says:

    @shannon
Lol Typical stupid comment. We have 10 times better talented youngsters than yours.Last season you guys were cheering for aaron lennon hell some of you spuds fan even said lennon is better than nani. Now where is lennon. You guys dont need to tell us to wake up.We have A BETTER squad than yours.I dont know what makes you think to come here and say such rubbish comments.

  15. willierednut says:

Ash – I wouldn’t say United are poor in the market, but not every young player wants to join United. We’ve have dropped the ball on occasions, like with Ramsey and Bale, to a lesser extent.

  16. wayne says:

@shannon you troll, fucking spurs have spent over a 150mill since ‘arry took over he’ll take you to the poor house just like every team he managed before you.spending 150mill % say you’re going to get some right, spurs lost money last year and utd didn’t. don’t make the top 4 spurs are fucked, seen alot of teams try and buy thier way into the top 4 and go broke leeds being the biggest.so stop talking shit and fuck off

  17. smartalex says:

    Why did he bale?

Is Sir Alex implying that the unnamed Scottish CEO and George Graham did a dirty?

  18. NotoriousRedDevil says:

I’m surprised many on here were oblivious to this. It was very apparent at the time we had put a bid in for him missed out on him and Ramsey at about the same time. I read somewhere at the time that part of the reason Bale never came was because we had Heinze and Evra, then that summer after Bale had moved Heinze declared his love for the dippers and was promptly sold him to the virus. If only Heinze had run his mouth a few months earlier we could have had him. Never mind he looked average at best when Rafael kept him in his back pocket. More of the same please Sunday Rafael.

  19. willierednut says:

    George Burley.

  20. willierednut says:

Gary Neville was asked to show Ramsey around OT. While Arsenal flew Ramsey out to France to meet Wenger. Dropped the ball big style there.

  21. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

A few years ago Spurs players would jump ship and join Man Utd in a flash.
Things are changing! Modric and Bale have both been targetted by Ferguson,
but both players prefered to stay at Spurs.
It will be a good game tomorrow, but for the first time in ages, I’m 100% confident
that it will be a convincing Spurs win.

  22. smartalex says:

Thanks willierednut. Maybe it was a triad?

  23. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ willierednut. Spot on, unfortunately other than United fans everyone else thinks Neville is a cunt, an image he does himself no favours to dispel either. God only knows why Fergie wasn’t aware of this and sent him there but in reality not really that bothered in either of these cases but you do wonder if Ramsey was at United he would have progressed a lot quicker than at l’arse. Look at Walcott, Wenger was saying he is going to be my Rooney when he signed him and Walcott isn’t even at 5% of the level Rooney is.

  24. King Eric says:

Shannon – Yeah lets see you cockney cunt. Thing is Fergie is a bit more tactically astute than the like of the Fat Spanish Waiter who let Maicon give him all the space in the world. Rafael will be right up cartoon face boys arse. Infact I think he may well still be in his pocket since Old Trafford. He has a long way to go yet before he can be considered a great. I mean come on there are many games in the league where he is fucking anonymous A good player is Bale but lets judge after 3 or 4 seasons not 6 months. There is just summat I do not like about him. His quiff perhaps? Not sure.

Anyway good luck with wideboys gung ho tactics in Europe Gonna go 4-2-4 are ya? Ya gonna get found out son when you play with the big boys.

  25. King Eric says:

Is this Nev thing and Wenger in France story actually true? I personally cannot see it. Gill would have gone. Anyway regardless having met Nev or fucking Wenger at some young boys beach club know which team I would have picked.

  26. Ash says:

    @Willie
But we are not great in doing transfers. Its not always about money ,I think our transfer management arent that great.Only 3 out of 10 times we beat other clubs and sign players. We losse more players than sign them.Seriously i hope we improve our business strategy in the summer transfer this year.

  27. in Sir Alex we trust says:

lol just because Bale terrorized Maicon under the management of the FSW the whole world is saying how great Bale is

wait till he scores a goal like Giggs scored in 1999 then i’ll acknowledge him as a world class talent

  28. Dr.Hannibal says:

bale went to spuds because of urban club culture in london with his pal gunter (rb) that time and to a lesser extent game time as costas said.

  29. smartalex says:

3 out of 10 is an unreachable figure.

  30. shannon says:

Let’s say that 150 million figure is accurate, it is peanuts compared to the survival-threatening heap of money that United owe the banks. Spurs bought Carrick for 2,5 mill, United took him for 20 mill. Spurs bought Berbatov for 10 mill, United took him for 31 mil. I don’t see that as being too clever in the transfer market. Now United have woken up to the fact that Bale can actually play a bit. Spurs got him for 5 mill, possibly 10 mill with add ons. United had the opportunity but didn’t take him. How much does mumbling old Fergie (“Southampton must have alerted Spurs”) want to offer now? I don’t think your debt-ridden club could afford him.

  31. wayne says:

@King Eric a few months ago you mentioned bale was funny looking but couldn’t put your finger on it,i thought the same.don’t know if any of the lads figured it out and has been mentioned since then but he’s a dead ringer for cornelius the ape roddy mcdowell played in the planet of the apes

  32. willierednut says:

NRD – I think Sir Alex was complacent there mate. He assumed because Ramsey supported United, he’ll sign for us, no problems. The lad was probably disappointed, to not meet SAF. No disrespect to Red Nev, but the boss should have took a hands on approach, like he done with Smalling, who was an gooner. Ramsey would’ve been a coup for United, really messed up there. It’ll be interesting to see how he comes back from his injury, was a bad one.

  33. King Eric says:

Ash – I don’t understand your comments mate. We cannot get every player out there. Have you seen some of the talent in the young uns? Are you saying you wished we brought more british talent through? Well there are plenty that could well make it. As for buys what about the Da Silva’s, Ronnie, Nani, Ando (hopefully), Smalling, Hernandez. I don’t get what you mean fella. Evans another quality British one. Mind you some on here want him sold. Fucking idiots.

  34. King Eric says:

Wayne – Hi mate. Hope you are well. Thats it! He is fucking horrible and freaks me out. His voice as well. Yes I am shallow.

  35. smartalex says:

    Cornelius Bale.

  36. James says:

Even if all of you think Nani is a better player than Bale, you at least have to admit Bale would get in the UTD side. He’s a better player than Valencia, and like one of you said earlier on, Nani prefers/is better playing on the right. However, the one player Spurs signed that I think you missed out on big time isn’t Bale, but more Modric and van der Vaart. Watching Modric, he plays just like Scholes. He’s not as agressive, and his shooting is poor, but his dribbling is better, and his one touch passing, plus the way he moves up with play with everything going through him, as well as his long range passing, is very similar to Scholes. He hasn’t achieved as much as Scholes, and probably won’t (even if he does go to UTD, as I think this current UTD team isn’t as strong as the teams a few years ago who won everything). Comparing Modric to Scholes is the one of the highest compliments I could pay to Modric.

Now VDV is another one. Didn’t Sir Alex pay like 7.5 mil for Bebe? An unheard of, Portuguese 2nd tear player, who was signed for free a few months before that? Then two weeks later, we go out and sign VDV for just a little bit more. An established international, a world cup finalist, with league winners titles in three different countries. VDV would have been a perfect player for you IMO. Playing just off Rooney, with Nani and Valencia wide, and a Scholes and Fletcher center midfield. Fergie really missed a trick here.

My worry is that the three players I’ve just mentioned could all yet become UTD players. Fergie has previously made public his admiration for Modric, and now has spoken about Bale. I can see both of those players going to you as long term replacements for Scholes and Giggs.

  37. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

‘Wayne’ and ‘King Eric’ typify why Man Utd ‘fans’ are disliked so much.
You are a pair of pricks and I think you should combine your comments.
Maybe you should merge and call yourselves ‘Wayne King’.

  38. King Eric says:

shannon – Don’t think Fergie would be too bothered about him now considering we have the best two wingers in the league in Nani and Valencia. Anyway piss off you Southern ponce. Are you gonna bottle it again like usual tomorrow? Will Defoe actually turn up this time? Will Bale? Your team REALLY isnt as good as the cockney media would have everyone believe. I mean come on man. United are in second gear yet are EIGHT points in front with a game in hand . Could be 11 tomorrow. And your dodgy wideboy manager has the audacity to say the race is over if Spurs lose. Like they are our nearest rivals. Its laughable frankly mate.

  39. Dave Malaysia says:

Like u guys say he went to london for different reasons.

He could have if he wanted push for a move to Manutd.

But the money spurs paid was probaly the deciding factor, thats a lot.

    Wolves,Blackburn,West Ham winning tonight.

  40. Ash says:

Its quite baffling to see just one season they qualify for champs league football and that(spuds) think they are the best.
    Shannon
You tootenham are good but you are not close to manchester united. If we have missed on bale we have signed many young players and made profit out of them. You speak about losses.I will give you the biggets profit a club has ever made
Ronaldo bought for 12 millions and sold for 80Millions.Profit of 68 millions .So it would be better for you not to speak of profit and losses.Everyone have been moaning about our debt issues but even with the so called debt MANCHESTER UNITED are winning trophies which your teams arent doing.

  41. King Eric says:

English Cockney Spurs – Oh you are hilarious pal. Do one.

  42. willierednut says:

King Eric – Correction mate, it was Switzerland, where Ramsey and his parents, went to meet Wenger. Anyway, we missed out on him. Wayne King has a nice ring to it.

  43. King Eric says:

Also we are disliked because we are the best. Deal with it.

  44. Costas says:

Bringing up the debt. Oh how original! Didn’t we buy Berbatov while being in debt? So sorry shannon. If Bale starts looking towards Old Trafford like Berb and Carrick did, fuck all you’ll be able to do about it.

It’s not really surprising that players like Bale or Modric opt to join Spurs instead of United is it? Less talented players = more first team opportunities for them = a big transfer down the road. It’s called a stepping stone..

As for tomorrow, it will be a hard game, but if I had a euro every time I heard Bale, Modric, Lennon or VDV would kill us off, I could have bought United from the Glazers.

  45. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Bloody hell looks like everyone in North London is actually a Grade A Cunt. Start doing well for the first time in a half a century and all of a sudden you get the cocks as well as l’arse’s trolling on here. No difference between both of you at the moment except which trophy cabinet is collecting more dust. Shannon you can go fuck yourself come back when you’ve won the league I’ll sell you a film reel of when you won it. You need a projector and don’t be alarmed about the picture quality black and white is all they had in them days.

  46. Ash says:

    @King eric
I never said that we should get every player. What i am saying is we generally lose out on a player more often.Yeah we have signed many classy players but whenever there 2 or 3 clubs fighting with us for a player we tend to backdown. We are not dominant in the transfer market like we are dominant on the pitch.
But i 100% agree with you about evans. He is a class defender and only a deluded guy would hate evans.

  47. arminio says:

I’d rather have Van Der Vaart from Spurs to be honest, he would have added a lot to the side, solved the attacking midfielder problem and would have also been perfect for the 4-5-1 formation we use against the big teams. Added to that he has great prowess from set pieces, something that we have been lacking since Ronaldo left. While Bale is definitely impressive on the counter attack when given space to run into, I haven’t been impressed when teams restrict the space available to him and at the moment he can definitely be contained. I see him as a left footed valencia, but with a lower level of crossing and more one dimensional game.

  48. smartalex says:

    city 0:1 Wolves

  49. King Eric says:

James – You only got vdv at THAT price because of dodgy arry. Modric IS a good player but NOWHERE near Paul, absolutely nowhere near. Also don’t believe everything in the tabloids that Bebe cost 7.5 million as I will put my mortgage on it he didnt.

  50. King Eric says:

Costas and Notorious – Tell em lads. Spot on.

Are the bitters REALLY a goal down? Ha .

  51. James says:

Good news, Wolves are 1-0 up at City!!! I’m a Spurs fan, and I think I hate City as much, if not more than you lot do!!

  52. Costas says:

    @James

It’s easy to say that Bale is better than Valencia now isn’t it? Imo Valencia was on his way to having a big season before his injury and that has set him back a lot. I don’t know if Bale could fit in the current United side to be honest. I wouldn’t take out Nani, Park or Giggs and what they offer.

Good point about VDV and Bebe. I was wondering the same this summer. Best explanation I can come up with was that we were looking towards the future. Whether it’s worth it or not, no one can say for sure.

  53. Costas says:

Oh and we hate Shity just as much. :)

  54. King Eric says:

James – At least we agree on that, hating City. I also hope your lot make top four.

  55. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

Wanking Erik—nothing to do with Man Utd being the best. The Scousers were the best
in the 70′s and 80′s and are pretty vile. But, they weren’t hated like you lot.
You’ve got no class and even make the Geordies look intelligent.

  56. Costas says:

If Spurs and Chelsea stay focused from now on, City could end up 5th again.

  57. wayne says:

@shannon i swear to god must breed them thick in london, don’t get your point.firstly those two players had nothing to do with ‘arry think robbie keane and bently were ‘arry signings how did they work out for you and secondly so what? we bought ronaldo for 10mill and sold him for 80 mill beckham came through the youth system think utd got around 28mill for him.your comment has no point to it,spurs under ‘arry are heading to the poor house.utd show a profit every year you thick cunt spurs are losing money take a look at every team ‘arry has been in charge of and tell me how they doing now.

  58. Costas says:

    @English Cock

Your points would have a bigger credibilty about them if you didn’t mess with other people’s userames. Just saying…

  59. wayne says:

    wolves 1 up on city

  60. Berbatovs' love life says:

    @Costas

with all due respect if I could swap Bale in our side with Park I would do that in a heartbeat… you look good in the red tinted specs!

and I think we probably hate Shitty way more!!! go Wolves

  61. James says:

@ Costas. Apparently we only got VDV so cheap, because Madrid signed Ozil, leaving them with 24 players, to fit into a 23 man list. VDV was meant to go somewhere else, I think in Germany, but that move fell through last minute. Madrid couldn’t fit him on the squad list, so offered him to Levy last minute. Good luck I guess, could have been offered to anyone.

@ King Eric. You don’t need to react like everyone is trying to offend you with their comments. Modric now is better than Scholes, but not better than Scholes was, if you get what I mean? Modric would fit very nicely into your side. Do you remember the Carling Cup final a few years ago? Where you beat us on penalties, but during the game, Modric absolutely ran riot – playing from the left that game mind.

And Park better than Bale? Honestly? Even if you think Valencia is better than Bale, you have at least some argument there. But not Park.

  62. smartalex says:

    How does Bale replace Park?

  63. Corea says:

Berbatovs’ love life – in a heartbeat? oh cmon

  64. Costas says:

    @Berbatovs’ love life

Maybe I am biased, but who’s the more proven player on the big occasions? Park isn’t as fast as Bale or doesn’t have his delivery, but tactically, he offers more to the side and that’s what counts for me.

  65. Corea says:

Park is our cow. How the fuck you swap him for Bale in a heartbeat ? Have a bit of respect for the player who salvaged us some vital points.

  66. James says:

    @ English Cockney Spurs.

UTD have class. I’m sorry, but they have built a squad through the years. They have built themselves up to being a great side, through investing in youth etc.

Beckham, Neville(s), Scholes, Butt, Keane, Giggs, Ronaldo – Absolute greats of the game, and did UTD buy any of them as established players? I was young at the time, but I don’t think they did.

Talk about a team with no class – City!
The best phrase I ever heard to describe City is like when a pikey wins the lottery. You can buy a mansion, and fill it with as many gold statues, pieces of art, and fountains as you like, but it’s still a pikey, and even though they have a nice house, and it’s full of nice stuff, theres still no class.

    UTD for the title!
    (Unless it’s Spurs ;) )!!

  67. Costas says:

    @James

Yeah and just like with Sneidjer, Real lost a player that could have helped them out for peanuts.

Watch what I said. I didn’t say that Park was a better player. But, in terms of tactics and workrate, I’d go with him. If some class is needed to kill off teams, Nani, Rooney and Berbatov can provide that. United need Park’s engine more than a winger like Bale imo.

  68. wayne says:

take bale’s speed away doesn’t have much, its been proven play him tight and he struggles.no question park is a better tatican

  69. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

Costas– English Cockerel? I like it! Anyway,I’d rather be an English cock than a Dago cunt.

  70. Berbatovs' love life says:

    @Costas

we can agree to disagree… IMO I would always take the bigger, faster, stronger, more technically gifted player who has shown to be able to both defend and move forward. Park is a valuable player and can be used in sort of a box to box role in big games, he works tirelessly and I love him for that.

But i do think Bale is at or nearing world class and I would love to have him in my side….just watch the Inter matches…hard not to be excited about his prospect…

anyways, at least we are not City!

  71. Corea says:

Costas – Bale is a hard worker on the field of play, he isn’t another Ronaldo. tbh

  72. Costas says:

    @English-Cockney-Spurs

Don’t know about cunt, but I am definitely no dago. Try again, lol.

    @Berbatovs’ love life

Don’t know. I want to see some consistency from him before I rate him as world class. He was impressive against Inter, but come on, that’s the FSW we are talking about. ;)

    @Corea

Yeah, but is his style closer to Park or Ronaldo’s? I think it’s the latter.

  73. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

James–Man Utd have class?? Nani is a cheat, Rooney is a whore shagging Pikey
Ferguson is is the 2nd worst loser (after Wenger) and the fans sing disrespectful songs
    about England. Class?

  74. Corea says:

@Costas – i think it’s a bit odd argument because Bale plays for Tottenham and we have our heroes or cows like Alec says.

  75. smartalex says:

    Feel spurned, much?

  76. Corea says:

Worry about tomorrow. It can go 2 ways. We get another dubious decision and spuds fans come here for revenge or they get lucky breakaway they think they are due.
I remember us having a great record against Villa and then losing to them at OT. Just hope the possible first loss of the season won’t bring back some “regulars” who only come here for the sake of critisizing.

  77. The truth says:

@English-Cockney-Spurs- *You have succeeded in making yourself look like a moron, purely because of your username, well done!*
How did Nani cheat? The referee said play on, so he put the ball in the net. He was simply doing his job. What Rooney chooses to do in his spare time has nothing to do with the lack of class the club has again simply because he is not MANCHESTER UNITED, he is only WAYNE ROONEY. One player doesnt make a club. Ferguson is a sore loser? How so? Of course any successful person hates losing, but then again you wouldnt know about successful would you? ;) What the fans want to sing about is up to them, especially that the songs aren’t “disrespectful” and arent mocking the dead or anything.

  78. James says:

    @ English-Cockney….

Nani is a cheat, I agree with that, and I have no time for him. However, you can’t base a club on one player. I’m talking about the way the club has built themselves up.

I am not a fan of Fergie at all, but I won’t go into him. However, respect where respect is due. Look what he has achieved?

Again, I hate Wenger, and they are both bad losers. However, they’re bad losers because they want to win so bad, and they hate losing more than anything. Harry comes out after we lose against a soft side with the same old excuses – “It wasn’t our day”, or “One of those days”, “The keeper had a blinder”. He almost seems to accept the defeat, where as Fergie and Wenger do not.

I don’t like how Fegie goes about his business, and how he seems to get away with doing whatever he wants. But would you care if we had a manager who did that? Who brought us the same sort of success that Fergie brought to UTD? I dont think I would….

  79. smartalex says:

    city 1:1 Wolves Toure

  80. willierednut says:

Ferguson is is the 2nd worst loser(after Wenger) and the fans sing disrespectful songs about England. class? As opposed to Spurs fans, who sung songs about Sol Campbell sexuality? Don’t cast stones you dumb fuck.

  81. Costas says:

Obviously someone has been stinging for a long time, lol.

    @Corea

It’s ok. It happens all the time. Wondering about which players we could have had. We don’t always have the best cows, but they are our cows.

  82. wayne says:

@English cocksucker, donkeys like you come on here all the time fucking wannabes team has one good year all of a sudden fuckers start dreaming you’ll end up in the shit heap and broke ‘arry will become england manager and utd will be top, when was the last time spurs won the title 1961 50yrs ago,so fuck off and come back when you win something.

  83. King Eric says:

Cockney Spurs – Racist as well. What a fucking prick you are. Fuck off.

James – I actually said Modric was a good player, I never mentioned Park.

  84. smartalex says:

    city 1:1 Wolves
    chelsea 0:0 McClucky’s
    Half time.

  85. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

Wanking Eric–I’ll come back on here tomorrow, after we’ve smashed you.

  86. James says:

King Eric – You did say Modric was good yeah, but you did say he was absolutely nowhere hear Scholes. Which I don’t think is fair on Modric really.

  87. King Eric says:

Cockney Racist Spurs prick – Ooh we sing anti Ingerlund songs. Oh thats so not nice especially with your wideboy manager whoring himself for the job when Capello fucks off. “You can stick your fucking England up your arse” Who gives a fuck about the overhyped Ingerlund team anyway? Obviously you do son as you are probably a big beefy British Bulldog type from Landan. Cunt.

  88. Costas says:

    English cocksucker, lol.

  89. smartalex says:

    Tomorrow never comes.

  90. King Eric says:

English Cockney Racist Spur – I cannot wait. Heard that SO many times from rival fans. Infact only a week or two ago from gooners. You London clubs are a fucking joke. United have more European Cups than all you cockney fuckers put together. NOT FUCKING ONE!!

  91. willierednut says:

Don’t go now dumb ass, you’re giving us so much comedy.

  92. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

Wanking Eric–What is it your lot sing…..”You can stick your fucking England up your arse…”
If being the opposite of you is being a racist, then I’m a proud racist.

  93. Costas says:

I hope he keeps pa-trolling ROM from now on. He is so amusing.

  94. fergie is the boss says:

shannon – the debt debt debt you guys are has bad has the conservatives of cameron ossbourn and clegg blaming labor. united are one of the most indemand clubs in the buisness. The last 3 possible takeover bids are all PPL are well worth on average 15 billion so united are in fine shape. And another thing 2007/08 summer, united signed nani, they had evra owning the LB spot. we already CR7 giggs and park that could play out wide is well has evra could fill in at LB, rooney and tevez also could do a job on the flanks so united the wide area’s well covered.

  95. Ash says:

    @ECockney Spurs
Its clearly visible that you are jealous of our success. And by the way isnt there any blog of tottenham.Or they have thrown you out and now you are here to share your unsensible thoughts.
Come back when you have won something decent.

  96. King Eric says:

    Or

“World Champions Twice, World Champions Twii-iice, once more than Ingerlund , World Champions twice”

You must be positively foaming at the mouth now. Are you sure you aint a city fan? You sound like one. James on the other hand makes good points.

  97. smartalex says:

If we gave spurs a 3 goal head start we would win 5 – 3.

  98. NotoriousRedDevil says:

In games if United go a couple of goals behind I get worried unless we’re playing Spurs of course.

  99. fergie is the boss says:

so the idea united missed a trick with bale, when united were well covered at LB and the wide area’s. And another thing, united’s transfer record has been really good. from summer 2005 to now, we signed

    2005
    park VDS foster
    2006
    vidic evra carrick
    2007
    nani anderson tevez hargreaves manucho
    2008
    berbatov
    2009
    owen valencia obertan
    2010
    hernandes bebe smallen

out of that lot, VDS park vidic evra carrick nani anderson tevez berbatov valencia owen hernandes have all worked out well for united. I say that is an 80% success rate of the transfer market by ferguson between 2005 to 2010. we spent out of that lot we spent 173 million. And in those 5 years we won, 3 league titles, 1 european cup got to another final, 1 world club cup, 2 carling cups, 3 community shields. That is an amazing return, what have shitty spurs and the fasicts done in those years having spent a fortune on players

  100. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ fitb. Having spent a fortune spurs have won the league cup so don’t knock it. ;-)

  101. smartalex says:

    city 2:1 Wolves cunt.

  102. willierednut says:

Spurs are Uniteds feeder club, so that hurts their fans. As for them smashing United, we’ll see what happens tomorrow. I’m confident of a 3 1 win.

  103. fergie is the boss says:

oh yea I forgot to add the de silva twins. That is 180 million spent and we have won it all accept forthe fa cup in those 5 years

  104. smartalex says:

Now that city lead, they take toure off and lescott comes on. 50 minutes.

  105. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

Wanking Eric–you’re right. I am a British Bulldog type. And I do give a fuck about England.
It’s obvious that you’re a lefty-faggot type, probably sitting in some filthy bedsit , saving your money to pay for the next rent boy.

  106. UNITED4life says:

    Nice goal from tevez

  107. smartalex says:

    city 3:1 Wolves
    changing channels.

  108. wayne says:

  109. fergie is the boss says:

NotoriousRedDevil – it is on their DVD isnt it, what an achievement they have done they are new leeds of the late 90′s, they are the main event jobbers they are there to make up the numbers. We are the diablo of football, we are hated but the red diablo cannot be stopped

  110. wayne says:

    @English cocksucker,sorry short,fat,ugly and bald

  111. Costas says:

    More like a British Bullshit.

  112. willierednut says:

  113. willierednut says:

    Chelsea 1 up.

  114. James says:

Completely off topic, but as I’m on here, wonder if you lot could help settle an argument between my and a mate. Just wondering, from an outside, impartial fan. What you think of our left back, Assou-Ekotto?

  115. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Illegaly cross the North korean border, 12 year jail term, illegaly cross the Afghan border, you get shot, cross the English border, free house, car and stupid ammount of money spent on you to read one fucking document! Makes me so proud! Does it make you proud as well BNP-Cock-Spur!

  116. smartalex says:

    city 4:1 Wolves cunt.
We will have to regain the summit tomorrow.

  117. The truth says:

    @ James
Plays averagely most of the time, horrible positioning, but a threat going forward and good tackling. Why?

  118. smartalex says:

    NRD
Is that how Assou-Ekotto got in?

  119. The truth says:

Shitty winning, I hear. Oh well. Let them battle it out with the Arse. The number 1spot is ours.

  120. wayne says:

@james seems pretty solid had alot of injury problems i think,be a good test against nani tomorrow

  121. smartalex says:

    city 4:2 Wolves

  122. Costas says:

Expext to hear the “stuff of champions” crap tomorrow…

  123. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

Wayne King Eric—you sound like a pair of nancy boys.

  124. Ash says:

City are thrashing wolves.Y ou know i amy be slagged but city based on this seasons performance so far desreves to be in top 4.But i want to see how they face against us.I bet they will be fighting for a draw.
You know now i am able to understand mankinis tactics. His aim is not to win the league but to finish in top 4 and save his bloddy job.But i would love tyo see city been knocked out of top 4 but i dont see that happening.Overall it is turning to be a an interesting season.

  125. English-Cockney-Spurs says:

NotoriousRedCommie–just makes me realise what a treacherous wanker you are.
Hope your asylum seeking friends kick the granny out of you, while you’re mincing around
    Salford.

  126. UNITED4life says:

with chelsea’s current form city will finish 3rd

  127. FletchTHEMAN says:

FITB Is that the entire list of transfers mate? What about Larsson? Maybe your right on the full transfers though. Interesting.

Funny thing, thinking back on Manucho. HOOOOO, he was terrible wasn’t he.
I will admit to being petrified that Bebe could have been like that. But I feel the lad has done alright and the club has done a job at diffussing the hype. Think we are all still confused at how both Bebe and Chicho could cost 7M. Worth it and then some for Chicho. Jury is still out on Bebe. Obviously, I fully back the both of them to make a name for themselves at OT. Chicho is well on his way.

Seems like someone left a sewer line open from london. Don’t know about you lot. But this site needs some powerful bug spray. The roaches are on and the smell is getting out of hand.

  128. Ash says:

Hey guys ignore this cockney cunt. This site is for views about united and not about the personal life of cock whatever.

  129. smartalex says:

    city 4:3 Wolves
Expect a further infestation within the hour if city go up…

  130. wayne says:

  131. RedScot says:

    Dire Straits. lol

  132. Costas says:

    Is the Cockhumper still here?

  133. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ English Cock-Spur- Fuck you. Guys on here know I’m being sarcastic. I bet you go around with Doc Martin boots with jeans tucked in to them with your braces looking like Alf Garnett. Why on earth would you want to tell us you’re english? Like that makes a difference wouldn’t cock suffice in your username. Don’t call me commie you’ve hurt my feelings now. You sure you’re a jew with the shite you’re spewing sound more like a CSKA chelski fan! You’re old man should have had a wank instead of fucking his sister the night you were conceived. Theres a phrase for people like you its called Keyboard Warrior, now back to World of Warcraft chap thats where you belong.

  134. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Looks like instead of putting fluoride in the water in North London they’ve been pumping it with your patented elixir Costas….DELUSION!!!

  135. willierednut says:

Is that doughnut still here? Then again, I was wondering what that stench was.

  136. Costas says:

    @Notorious

Harry has definitely supplied them with his fair share, lol.

B y the way, thanks to City’s defending, we have the meanest defence in the league again. Until tomorrow probably…

  137. smartalex says:

    city 4:3 Wolves
    Full time.

  138. RedScot says:

Mancini took of Tevez with him on a hatrick……..I see trouble ahead. lol,

  139. Costas says:

They are probably showing the league table on the giant screen as we speak. MASSIVE.

  140. Costas says:

So much money on attacking talent and they have 37 goals in 23 games. 4 of which came today. MASSIVE.

  141. willierednut says:

    Come on ye Spammers!

  142. smartalex says:

Tattoo parlours will be doing a roaring trade.

  143. NotoriousRedDevil says:

On Gillette Scouse Saturday they were mentioning the whole Argie Troll Edin Dicko saga saying that Dicko is Troll’s replacement due to his temper tantrums. Don’t think mankini or cit-eh could care less how tevez behaves.

  144. RedScot says:

@ Costas, Naturally they will be mate.Displaying there prowess.I think we have seen enough battles of Strength in here today.
I always think on these occasions why dont we just post our Penis sizes beside our Screen names, It would save so much hassle! i am the bigger man, blah blah. lol

  145. thedonmassawe says:

Three games to overcome a lousy fucking point. What a task!

  146. united.george says:

Photo of the new Dzeko/Tevez partnership in action…..

  147. RedScot says:

jaysus i hope we turn up tommorow and stop the supply to Bale.Rafael will need to do a repeat of the Old Trafford game and keep him stooomp.
Clearly Modric will need dealt with also, Darren better be up for the task.
There weakness is that back Assou -Ekotto

  148. MG says:

    I think it’s over

1 point behind three games in hand

    It’s all doom and gloom

    Let’s spend big

Buy buy buy out of this darkness.

Oh the pain – oh it hurts so bad

    ;)

  149. willierednut says:

Said the solider to the woman.

  150. RedScot says:

Yeah its done and dusted deffo, all we can win is the Fa cup.
Its no good this to date.
Wait till we fucking find the gears. We are stuck in third.
But patience is a virtue, Unless yer needing a ride and fast. lol

  151. thedonmassawe says:

Gotta love the fact none of the so called pundits are mentioning the tree games we got in hand

  152. smartalex says:

    They haven’t twigged.

  153. James says:

Cheers for the views guys. I see Ekotto as our weakest player, more than a weak link. Interesting to see how he gets on against Nani tomorrow. One of the key, game deciding battles there. As well as Dawson vs Rooney, Bale vs Rafael, and Lennon vs Evra.

  154. MG says:

    I say

    Buffon 30 million

Bale 40 million – let’s face Spurs love fleecing us

    Maicon 30 million

Modric 30 million probably more because as you know Spurs love fleecing us

    Sneijder 30 million

    Benzema 30 million

So do you guys reckon 190m pounds worth of spending will get us say two points to leapfrog the bitters?

Phew I’m so glad I got that out of my system – all of a suden I feel ;)

  155. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Good point about the 3 games in hand and yet they say horse-spurs are just 8 points behind us. Just 8! I mean when we’re 3,2 or even a point behind its such a huge mountain to climb. We’ve had an entire week off so I expect as to play much better than the dipppers game.

  156. RedScot says:

@ MG, ITS a good theory mate, but as we dont have 190 pence, I would shelve the idea.
Oppsie I shouldna have said that King Eric will spank me for mentioning money.
    Nah seriously point taken.
As Willie says lets hope the Spammers do us a wee favour in the next couple of Hours.
Cmon the Ammers.Lets be haven yeah.
Bon Nuit lads/lasses/ and not so sures!

  157. King Eric says:

English Cockney Racist Spurs cunt – No I own my own home pal and been married 10 years although that has fuck all to do with you with scum bastard. Talking of Southern softeis the gonners have returned nearly 1800 tickets for Elland Road. Cannot even sell their mediocre allocation. Gotta laugh at the Southerners.

  158. willierednut says:

smartalex – Who hasn’t twigged, the special branch?

  159. UNITED4life says:

lucky arsenal to play a depleted hammers side

  160. King Eric says:

“kick the granny out of you”

Who are you Danny fucking Dyer? Awight gov hars it going? I FUCKING DESPISE Cockneys. The irony is last year at OT The Rentboys were chanting “Why don’t you speak facckking English” or Arsenal “Evra , Evra your a Cant” What stupid fucking voices you all have. You think you are facking gangsters.

Anyway good to see Durham fawning over City. Anyone who listens to talkshite is Don McGuinness a bitter? He loves it when City win. Anyway how the fuck can title contenders be 4-1 up and be hanging on? I cannot wait till Judas goes as this City team is the most one man side I have ever seen. Also why do they NEVER mention we have THREE games in hand over them?

  161. MG says:

    RedScot

You should afford me some time having fun mate – ;)

I didn’t even mention 30 million plus on players sitting on the bench – I am trying :)

  162. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ King Eric – Leave it now I told him to go play World of Warcraft and since then he aint been back too busy fucking goblins and what not,

  163. willierednut says:

King Eric – Hell no, Don’s United fan mate.

  164. Costas says:

    Where’s the cock licker?

  165. Zibbie says:

    GO HAMMERS!

  166. Mickjk says:

It’s gonna be a good match tomorrow. Bale and vdv putting themselves in the shop window. We’re gonna come to landan innit mate, rape your club of points and players. Lovely jubbly cream crackered ya facking moosh. Sling yer ook!!!!

  167. Gee says:

LOL who is this Cockney nob jockey thats acting all 10 men!! Has mummy let you go online for the afternoon so you can talk all tough LOL!!

  168. King Eric says:

Costas – Hello mate, you ok? They certainly did show the big screen at the end! It is fucking pathetic. You would do that at the end of the season but not in January. It just shows how fucking smalltime these fuckers are. Lets smash Spurs tomorrow and rightfully get top spot. Then we have a couple of decent home games and our BLackpool game in hand. Bet come beginning of February City aint fucking top. We could well be six or seven clear. Oh and they said on radio that when the bitters scored they copied what Leck Pozman whoever they are called who they played in the Europa league by turning their backs and linking arms and jumping up and down. Who are these clowns . They really make my stomach turn. Who is their fucking PR person as he should be shot dead.

  169. smartalex says:

    willierednut
Sorry for the delay, I have been thinking, but I’m afraid I’m stumped.

  170. King Eric says:

willie – Is he really mate? How do you know that?

  171. willierednut says:

smartalex – If you’re stumped, don’t worry, we’ll get to the root of this problem.

  172. Tomo1982 says:

Like NotoriousRedDevil said, think this is a bi of a non story and I thought it was fairly common knowledge at the time.

Both Ramsay and Bale didn’t fancy a move to OT for basically the same reason – they didn’t think they’d get as many opportunities. One of the few downsides of having a strong squad I guess, but I don’t think that is us being outmanouvered in the market or a sign of a lack of money to spend.

Sending Gary Neville to give him the tour though?? As a red I love the guy, but I know one other person who’s not a United fan that doesn’t think he’s a cunt, and I have my doubts about his state of mind.

  173. willierednut says:

King Eric – Heard it on talksport a few times mate, definitely a United fan. Gooners 1 up.

  174. smartalex says:

willierednut – I’d give an arm and a leg to sever this problem limb from limb.
Perhaps you could put it in a nut-shell for me…

  175. King Eric says:

Cheers Willie Oh and according to Durham after 38 minutes Dzeko “really looks the real deal” Fuck off Adrian and watch Posh get hammered again you small time prick.

  176. MG says:

Here you lot have a laugh

    From Mancini himself;

“We were at the top of the table for three hours at Christmas and now we will be top of the table for a day.”

  177. harry says:

I thought this was common knowledge?? I remember us bidding for him but he went to Spurs. Why is this such a big story????

  178. willierednut says:

    2up, Walcott.

  179. UNITED4life says:

not surprised by the scoar line..hammers missed many players..

  180. Costas says:

    @King Eric

Hi mate. Feeling a bit ervous about tomorrow, but WHL has been a good ground for us over the years, so hopefully the trend will continue. I just want us to get those games in hand out of the way. It’s not healthy for our players to feel like they have that cushion. City aren’t used to being on top so they are acting like some 16 year old losing his virginity, lol. But the way the others are playing, I could see City as our main obstacle..

  181. FletchTHEMAN says:

Of course it is common knowledge that we went for Bale. But this might be the first time that SAF discussed it. Reporters troll all these pre match interviews for whatever they feel will sell a story. If it is news today, it is fair do to Scott to have it up for discussion. Sometimes he even re posts stuff just to give some a laugh. Part of the banter.

  182. FletchTHEMAN says:

Just like to say again how diabolical the rescheduled matches have been. We could be 5-6 points up, yet have to endure these idiotic statements that Shitty have gone top. Many have said “the table doesn’t lie”. But that statement only applies when games played are equal, like at the end of the season. Top of the table is meaningless in the present circumstance. THREE GAMES IN HAND! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  183. parryheid says:

Easy Three points tomorrow same doing Pool got last week. another clean sheet.Bonus

  184. TonyBee says:

evening all ….Ahm from Landan and I talk facking bollocks about kicking Grannies and fackng nancy boys and all that. ….Jesus what a twat…….
nice to see Old Redscot didn’t chew him a new one …..MG, the new Dago :) , James and King Eric put the racist cunt in his place. fucking thick maroon didn’t even understand he was being racist…..i mean calling Costas a Dago….we all know he’s a fucking kebab…. :)
Rafael will keep Bale quiet tommozz no probs

  185. Kings says:

shannon – We may have paid more for Berba and Carrick, but they have won the bigger prizes at United, so the outlay was recouped through prize winning in no time. You stupid cunt. 3 trophies in 20 years hardly makes you a powerhouse in English football does it. I think United are fully aware of the debt, but we are managing it fine thanks, due to our ability to rake in shitloads through sponsorships, merchandising and matchday revenue, something your joke of a football club can only dream of. Thanks for the heads up though, you twat. Fuck off.

  186. Kings says:

English-Cockney-Spurs – Fuck off and die you racist fucking cunt.

  187. Costas says:

    Where’s the cock swallower?

  188. mattbw7 says:

Mmmm and there I was thinking Bale and Ramsay are entitled to have a say in where they went and probably did, would have liked them at UTD of course but we’ve never got every player we wanted thats just life.

English Cockney Spurs now theres an excitable chap, I’m sure somewhere in all his bile filled drivel there might be a genuine point but he desended into the usual cliches regarding UTD, I still find it hard to believe that people base opinions on what they read in the tabloid press but there you go.

I do like Bale but no one can deny Rafael had the better of him at OT and I suspect that will be his job tomorrow, Modric is by far Spurs best player he is the guy that makes them tick, VDV is really talented but seems suspect fitness wise, keeps getting the odd muscle twinge or hamstring problem and he suffered much the same at RM you have to wonder if he has some underlying issue much in the same why Giggs used to have and longterm he’s going to have to alter his game to stay fit for a season.

  189. willierednut says:

    3 zip.

  190. TonyBee says:

What’s my missus and Avram Grant got in common?
THEY’VE BOTH GOT UNTIL THE MORNING THEN I’M GONNA GET IN SOMEONE WHO IS YOUNGER & MORE EXPERIENCED….
thanks to BEN from Durham on BBC mobile sports

  191. Costas says:

Sack Avram Grant and bring the FSW.

  192. UNITED4life says:

the commentators are saying it is arsenal’s 7th away win. is that correct?

  193. utd will never die says:

quite a interesting thread always makes it fun when the trolls show up.@Tony Bee not trying to be funny but just read the comments and london cock called costas a dago and james was a spurs fan

  194. willierednut says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIZCA9LB6RI&feature=related

Here’s the second part of that game. For some reason, It wasn’t done in one video.

  195. shannon says:

I hope everyone comes back after the match

  196. wayne says:

@shannon one thing is for certain the only way you’ll be here is if spurs win

  197. Costas says:

We will. It’s a United blog after all. You know, with 3 wins in 37 league matches against United, you should be more humble.

  198. fergie is the boss says:

FletchTHEMAN – united tried to sign him but he only wanted to go to spurs, and many idiots are forgetting this. Like I said at the time united had signed nani, already ronaldo giggs park on the flanks, at LB evra oshea and silvestre could fill in at LB so where would he had fit into the united’s 2007/08 squad when he did sign for spurs in the summer of 2007.

For me there are to many captain heindsights on here, saying we should have signed this one and that one. I have said what is needed for united to became the team that can go on to win many trophys in the next 5 years. But united are competing for the title so fergie has done it right.

  199. wayne says:

@Costas spurs are having their 15 mins of fame, sad bastards have never experienced being relevant before.its similar to reality shows, some loser becomes famous for 12 episodes then just fades into obsurity again.till that happens with have to put up with these deluded cunts.

  200. shannon says:

Perhaps the ref will give us a break this time, like actually awarding a handball if Nani carries it in his hands, and awarding a goal when the ball is six metres over the line, and sending off Gary Neville when he brings down strikers in the box. It’s hard to win when they don’t do things like that. Good thing it’s not Clattenberg again.

  201. Costas says:

    @wayne

Same old shit everytime we come up against them mate. Their team is awesome, they will beat United, Bale will play better than Giggs ever did, Modric will pull the strings better than Scholes, Defoe will prove why he is better than Rooney and Harry Hudini will do the trick again. Our last defeat against Spurs was 10 years ago. As I said above, they should try being humble for a change.

  202. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ fitb – You left out Heinze and also we pushed through with the Nani deal a lot quicker after Bale had joined spurs. If Heinze had made his intentions known earlier Bale would have been our player end of story especially as Silvestre was going to miss the start of 07/08 with that injury he had picked up at Lille. Park also missed the start of 07/08 after having an operation and Bale weren’t even a winger at that point we would have used him at left back. Like I said before it irrelevant because we went and got Fabio and our left side is sorted once Valencia gets back to full fitness we’ll stick Nani out there.

  203. shannon says:

    Wayne, Spurs will win.

  204. RedScot says:

    Evening Lads/Lasses.
Hi Tony Mate, good joke aboot Avram Grant and your Lady. lol
Nah I didnae bother about biting the Spuds face off, he must have seen me before on here lol
He just fucked off when I arrived, lol
I was refering to Waynes, words he was using “Industrial Disease etc” Dire straits I think the song is. lol
Hi Costas the Cock sucker you refer to, he cant say hi, he will be bobbing up on down some Doods cheesy Muscle! so his Filthy gub his rather full.He could give you a wave. :) :)

Jesus its awfy quite in Rom Tonight. Cmon lads they are only top bye one point as MG said we have 3 games in hand and still a better goal difference. Its no the end of the world. We will do it the morrow.

A question if any one can get all the names I will never be cheeky to them again, Plomise! :)

Name the United players who have won the World cup? THERE ARE SEVEN.!!
You must get all 7! lol and you get a kiss and I wont be cheeky to you again. This does not include Costas. :)

  205. willierednut says:

    No they won’t.

  206. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ shannon. Pull the other one you fucking knob jockey. Maybe if that clown Gomes who’s made enough blunders to have a sporting bloomers series dedicated to himself plays to the whistle then you wouldn’t constantly embarrass yourself. That G Nev incident didn’t happen against you did it so what fucking relevance does it have to your game? None whatsoever. Believe me we don’t need the ref on our side vs your lot Lee Young Pyo passing it straight to Rooney anyone? Letting 2 and 3 goals lead slip. You lot fuck it up yourself without the need of the ref vs us.

  207. Kings says:

shannon – still going on about that Mendes effort, you sad bitter cunt – sound like a City fan to me. Like that result would have had a massive difference on your season back then if you got the 3 points. Get over it for fuck sake you sad pathetic loser. You’ve cheated your way to 3 points this season, away at Stoke and Fulham, don’t hear you complaining about those. CUNT.

  208. RedScot says:

    yes they will.

  209. RedScot says:

    no they wont.

  210. Costas says:

    Bitch bitch bitch, fucking broads…

  211. Costas says:

That comment refered to the whining about the ref decisions by the way.

  212. RedScot says:

    I canna stop laughing sorry

  213. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ Kings What happened vs Stoke and Fulham. Unlike every other teams supporter I’m not chomping at the bit to see how they do ready to criticise like shannon doherty here does with United. Pen and pad in hand ready to spew out fachts like the FSW!!!

  214. Costas says:

    @RedScot

I can’t name the 7 World cup winners, so I guess you’ll continue to be cheeky with me. Not that that was going to change, lol.

  215. wayne says:

@shannon well costas tells us spurs have won 3/37 about a 8% hit rate you win one every 12.33 games i don’t know last time spurs beat us,if its coming up to 13 games you’re statistically correct.

  216. willierednut says:

    There maybe trouble ahead…..

  217. Costas says:

Even if Spurs win 5-0 tomorrow, how does it change anything? They are Spurs. Top 5 team at best. A league cup win is like a treble winning season for United. A tiny dick might score a chick every now and then, but it’s still tiny…

  218. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ Redscot – Do these players have had to be playing for United at the time of winning the WC or could they have won the WC and then played for United. So far I have 6 if the latter is the cae.

  219. RedScot says:

@ Costas well if you cant that does not bode well foreverybody else. Yes you are correct I will always be cheeky to you mate, Thats why you were excluded. Hope yer well mate and your studies going good and the economy of the country on the upward.
You like me think we are gonna have a tough game at the Lane tommorow a win will be orgasmic a draw ok. but fingers crossed for the 3 points, Its gonna be our toughest away test to date in the Premiership.

  220. RedScot says:

@ NRD. NO mate just have had to played for United at some time!

  221. RedScot says:

@ Nrd there are 7! Give the answer when you get them all dont give any clues to anybody. Mind buddy its a kiss and no more Cheek! lol

  222. willierednut says:

I wonder if Shannon is a girl?

  223. Costas says:

    Ozzy’s wife?

  224. Costas says:

    @RedScot

Thanks mate. The studies are going ok thankfully, the economy is as crappy as ever, lol. Nothing new there. Hope you are well.

  225. RedScot says:

Costas Thats Sharon, but you new that! lol

  226. CedarsDevil says:

I see we have a new poster by the name of Wayne King! Not to mention much talk of cocks!! hahaha

    What a bloody idiot

  227. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Yea 6 instantly came to mid struggling with the 7th. Not going to be able to sleep till I find it now!!!

  228. mufcmyreligion says:

    @Shannon

Sounds like some of u Spurs fans have grown a set of balls in the last few months lol, cant remember the last time we had a few of u faggots on here??! Regardless of tommorrows result and the eventual outcome of this season it aint going to change the fact that you’ve had your 15mins of fame and all will be back to narmal nxt season wen your back to being a top 6/7 team at best not playing Champions League fooball as you wont qualify unless u win it this season (lollllllllllllll) and just another team that had a one off good season!
Congratulation spurs fans for finally feeling what its like to go through puberty, its a big change isn’t it from being boys!!! (“,)

    LUHG

  229. RedScot says:

@ Cedars evening mate, hows it hanging? lol

  230. CedarsDevil says:

Evening Red Scot mate, its hanging nicely by the way !! LOL

  231. RedScot says:

@ NRD My betting buddie. dont want you loosing beauty sleep and looking looking at ceilings.
    Sir Bobby
    Nobby Stiles.
John Connelly red herring sorta did not play in the final!
    Fabien Barthez
    Laurent Blanc.
    Kleberson.
    Gerald Pique.

  232. Costas says:

Well I found Barthez, Kleb, Blanc and Pique, but I kept looking at every final. Should have jumped straight to 1966!

By the way, Blanc didn’t play in the final either. But he kissed Fabian’s head beforehand. :)

    @RedScot

    Potato potato, lol.

  233. RedScot says:

Cheers lads glad to see everybody happy and laughing I guess.
Nice to hear that Costas. Good news.
I new you would be hanging good Cedars.Am sitting with a raging coal fire beside me freezing ma fuckin nutz aff. Like is great though just cant wait for the match on here the morrow and get some laughs with the lads and lassies,
God Bless lads. Nighters for now. Give the Spuds a fucking peeling and a mashing if they come back.
Keep it Red or you are fucking Deid.

  234. willierednut says:

    Come back Shannon.

  235. Costas says:

Ozzy is keeping her busy right now.

  236. CedarsDevil says:

Two dicks do not make a ball, it takes two balls to make a dick (In some blessed cases 3)

  237. Kings says:

NotoriousRedDevil – Huddlestone’s winning goal at Fulham should have been ruled off-side as ‘cry baby’ Gallas had every intention of trying to guide the ball in, whilst standing in an off-side postion, had he shown no interest then fair enough it should have been legit. At Stoke, the ball clearly crossed the line before the freak Crouch cleared it, that would have made it 2-2 in the last minute. Funny how these nuggets overlook these contentious issues, yet keep going on about an incident that happened 6 years ago.

  238. willierednut says:

You’re all a bunch of acolytes.

  239. MG says:

    Stratford Hotspurs

    ;)

  240. MG says:

    East Ham Hotspurs

    :)

  241. MG says:

    Olympic Hotspurs

    :)

  242. Kings says:

NotoriousRedDevil – Oh yeah and I have called a press conference tomorrow with pen and paper to relay these fachts to the media before our game – I’ve even grown a stupid box beard like FSW!!

  243. MG says:

    Seb Coe’s Spurs ;)

  244. MG says:

    David Beckham Hotspurs

    ha ha ha ;)

  245. mufcmyreligion says:

    Shannon, where u go?? lol
Is there a republik of tottenham site? (“,)

  246. willierednut says:

    Harry hotspurs.

  247. Costas says:

    Where’s the English Cock blower?

  248. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ RedScot- Ah Pique! I thought they had to have won it before or while at United not after my bad. Knew about Connelly because of that campaign they did in the press.

  249. NotoriousRedDevil says:

    @ Kings 21:37 – pmsl !

  250. willierednut says:

She’s sitting here with me Costas.

  251. wayne says:

@shannon way back when asked you to let me know which club ‘arry left and were doing well.first club bornemouth give him a pass on this one.2nd club west ham left them in 2001 by 2003 was playing div 1 football, never been the same since.portsmouth 1st stint no damage moved onto southampton in 05 poor bastards, that was the demise of southampton once a fairly decent club till ‘arry showed up.then he went back to portsmouth remember it the transfer window bringing in all kinds of free agents and ‘arry was a hero because he avioded relegation.then after overspending he got out and joined spurs just before poor old portsmouth went broke.now with spurs he’s already spent over a 150mill,morgaged the club to the hilt.spurs want to be a big time player but don’t have the capacity 36,000 about 47% of ot,also utd are a world brand 340mill fans its impossible to mantain your present spending without going broke simple fact spurs are a speck of dust compared to utd.the top four is the holy grail but its also the biggest trap ever for clubs playing over their means.’arry sucks teams dry to further his own ambitions then fucks off.

  252. musvn says:

Yeah, I remember this. The news was put up in Manutd.com saying that Bale turned us down to go to Tottenham. I think it was because we signed a lot of youngsters at that time so that he thought he wound not have any chance at our club, thus signed to Tottenham.

  253. smartalex says:

    “Tottenham simply have collapsed.

At the pinnacle of their game in the first half and cast aside in the second

by this magnificent response to adversity by Manchester United.”

    Written by our own MG?

No, written into history by the Red Devils.

  254. wayne says:

@shannon pretty sure ‘arry will become next england manager, were does that leave spurs OUCH once upon a time, west ham, portsmouth, southampton and spurs enjoyed being top clubs…yadda…yadda…’arry…yadda…yadda..just a coinidence they all went broke but ‘arry just doing wonders for england

  255. smartalex says:

    shannon
I hear spurs have a web site.
    It’s called the trophy cabinet.

  256. smartalex says:

I only bath when Spurs beat us.
    Now that’s a filthy joke.

  257. FletchTHEMAN says:

Amazing, Former RED Ruud van Nistelrooy is apparently refusing to play another game for Hamburg if they don’t let him go back to the Virus. I loved him in a United shirt, but that guy can really be a prick when he goes off his meds.

    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11827_6664823,00.html

  258. smartalex says:

From willierednut’s link: Sir Alex on city and spurs said “Do people think both of them will get into the top four? I don’t think so. That would mean Arsenal or Chelsea wouldn’t be in.”

The new boys think they have arrived.
    RESPECT is earned.

  259. smartalex says:

FletchTHEMAN. He seemed so calm till he lost it.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy, another ex player that will forever be a legend to some and a (insert smear) to others.

No player is bigger than Sir Alex, or the team. Ruud had to go. I still love him, but he shouldn’t have dissed the Godferguson.

  260. FletchTHEMAN says:

The Godferguson! Love that. Hhh hhh….

Might have missed it if someone posted it earlier. But who is the ref for the game? Where does one get that information about future matches?

  261. wayne says:

i don’t keep track of sites, good ones, bad ones.i use newsnow so half the time i’m just clicking links and not paying attention.1 day before the game caught offside is reporting sir alex will make a 40 mill bid for bale in the summer.its impossible for me to see this.i’m a huge tony v fan,1st yr,rooneys best.nani is becoming world class don’t think its going to matter what side he plays.evra hasn’t left yet and fabio just needs to learn the lessons of his brother, the talent is there.so thats a bogus site looking for hits.

  262. RedScot says:

    Mike Dean.

  263. willierednut says:

    Dean Mike.

  264. smartalex says:

    wayne
caught offside is ok, nothing more. They are all about the hits.
The article you refer to could have been written by a manatee.
It’s all guesswork, that while possible, is only based on some
    common knowledge weakly strung together.

  265. RedScot says:

@NRD That still means i can be cheeky to you mate! :)
You did not answer the 7 players as none of the lads did! lol.
That gives me huge scope. lmao

  266. RedScot says:

@ Willie is on the fucking Baileys he has gone Dyslexic lol

  267. willierednut says:

I’ve just realized something. You had Dick York and Dick Sargent, that both played Samantha’s love interest on Bewitched. Sargent Dick, fucking weird.

  268. RedScot says:

wow ok. didnae understand thon but am fooking sure its a laugh.

  269. FletchTHEMAN says:

@RedScott, and Willierednut. Cheers. You lads are always on your game!

Guardian says that both VDS and Lindegaard are doubtful because of illness.
Sounds like Kuzs gets another crack at the cherry.

  270. smartalex says:

    Spurs, another old joke…

NEWS JUST IN: Posh n Becks have reportedly just bought THFC for £300 million pounds for their son Brooklyn for his birthday present. Apparently, he asked for a cowboy outfit!

  271. Costas says:

    Where’s the English Cock lover?

  272. RedScot says:

One Day! Matisyahu. its the Mutz nutz.
That was at Willie ma mate.

  273. smartalex says:

    FletchTHEMAN
Then John O’Shea will have to be in the squad. He’s done spurs before.

  274. RedScot says:

@ fletch cheers mate, i hope you said I am always on ma game, not always on the game! lmao
Jaysus i need a refill. lol

  275. willierednut says:

That Clint Dempsey is one weird looking fucker, looks like he’s on the disco biscuts. Party people….

  276. smartalex says:

    Where is that Mingy-Cock-Spunker?

  277. CedarsDevil says:

Nice to see a lot of ‘cock’ loving going on here :-)

  278. willierednut says:

    I’m a beaver man myself.

  279. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie

Easy on the booze mate, what are you drinking btw? I am on Famous Grouse

  280. RedScot says:

@ The Lads i dinna think Scott the Red could have put a more ridiculous picture of Gareth Bale on the headline of the article. He is one very glaicket twat in my opinion, braw fitbae player but, like many others he ony get a ride cos of his Bentley and Italian designer flutes.
I mind i ridiculed him when the lad from the Spuds blog visted here and said 6 months does not make a player! Hope that doesnae come back me in the @SS TOMMOROW.Our new star international right back will deal with him.Gomes will fire the balls (Football) to the Bale, so Rafael needs to be strong in the air against the big welsh fucker.

  281. FletchTHEMAN says:

Smartalex. John O’Shea in goal, Hooo, that just might do it. But seriously. Would love to see one of the reserve lads make the bench. Seeing O’Shea sitting in a Purple shirt doesn’t seem just. Sam Johnstone or Conor Devlin for me.

RedScot You’re pullin my leg right. Me sayin that you are “on your game”, It’s a high compliment. It is saying you are up for it, know your stuff, nothing gets by you a players player on his day.
    Cheers.

  282. RedScot says:

@ Fletch AwhhhRite Mate In a Glesga accent, i pull abodies leg, its just the way I blog and use the Forum ma Auld ROMer. The maist important thing for be on the Forum is fun and laffs.
Its not life and Death. Its so much more its the Republika of Mancunia, were Men discuss fitbae and eat Cheesy puffs drink cheap cider, and Ladies join in ocassionaly and get respect. But generally are watching life style fucking shows and inventing new fucking positions. :)

  283. CedarsDevil says:

Sitting here at times getting fucking wasted I think to my self ‘what the fuck are you guys talking about’

I was referring to the last 2 posts…. Keep it simple guys, most of us are idiots, well at least I am BUT I FUCKING love UNITED

How do you feel we will get on Today at the Lane.

  290. Park Life says:

  291. smartalex says:

    CedarsDevil

    Hello?
    Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
    Is there anyone at home?
    Come on, now,
    I hear you’re feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain
And get you on your feet again.
    Relax.
    I need some information first.
    Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can’t hear what you’re saying.
    When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I’ve got that feeling once again
I can’t explain you would not understand
This is not how I am.
    I have become comfortably numb.

    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown,
    The dream is gone.
    I have become comfortably numb.

  292. willierednut says:

I think we’ll hack it, 3 1 to United. It’ll be white hart pain for the spuds.

  293. smartalex says:

Not sorry for the long post.

  294. smartalex says:

    Park Life
Too true! Ji brings so much. Bale has a long long way to go.

  295. MG says:

Ahem – what happened to fine English tea being drunk by fine gentlemen and of course ladies

I stand up and declare that I am drinking tea ;)

For United Reds for United and till we meet again tomorrow

    Au Revoir

  296. RedScot says:

@ Smart alex, pink floyd. i think! Written bye Roger Waters.
@ WILLIE I HOPE you are right thats ambitous. But optomistic, I just got a bad feeling about this game, its not very often I say that ;)

  297. RedScot says:

@ MG , So brief interjection, Bonsoir. Fucking Tea that beggars belief.#
Next MG will look at the tea leaves and give his prediction! lol

  298. CedarsDevil says:

    smartalex

Fantastic song mate… Pink Floyd always had a soft spot in my heart

We ARE United, the rest can fuck OFF

  299. smartalex says:

Right on the money RedScot. An all time classic from the legendary Pink Floyd.

  300. willierednut says:

RedScot – If we can’t optimistic now mate, when we’re unbeaten, then when can we be? A struggling Liverpool should have got at least a point at Spurs. We’re superior to that lot. Spurs will come at United, that’ll leave gaps for us to hit them on the counter attack.

  301. smartalex says:

Come on MG, read those leaves for RedScot! What have you got for us?

  302. RedScot says:

@ Cedars you are on the Dark Side of the Moon EH?

  303. RedScot says:

Willie you know i am not down beat and I am not like that, I am as happy a lad as you can get,I just dont feel right about this visit their.
Our midfield is gonna have to play excellent to counteract their, They will play 4,4, 1, 1, depends who is at the needle of there team.
The team selection will decide what Arry wants from the game, and naturally our team selection that Sir Alex picks, to decide what United want from the match. Am getting excited about it already.
As I have said its our first real test. Lets just wait and shout for the players, like true Reds.

  304. CedarsDevil says:

    Red Scot

I am indeed buddy. with love of course !

  305. RedScot says:

@ smart Alex as i said , Musik is my second love! After United. and Third my Dog, 4th my Lady. :)

  306. smartalex says:

Another Waters song is “What God wants”

    here is en excerpt.

Do you believe in a better day
Do you have faith in a golden way
If you do then we must come together this day
    Come together as one united
    Television audience
Brought together by the sound of my voice
    United united financially united socially
United spiritually and all possible ways

  307. RedScot says:

Enjoy yer Night mate, see you here later Today. Keep it red Cedars.
    Mwahhhh ******

    Keep it Red.

  308. willierednut says:

  309. CedarsDevil says:

  312. willierednut says:

Cedars – Fucking great. Haven’t been on the vodka in a while, so excuse any mad talk, you hear out of me lol.

  313. smartalex says:

Reading the lyrics to Hey You has sent chills up and down my spine. Incredibly powerful connections to the primal condition. We are United, so all good!

  314. CedarsDevil says:

    Willie, always excepted mate regardless

  319. jespermoses says:

He’ll be our player one day I hope. He’s every bit a typical United player.

Not confident about thi evening but I like to feel like that on matchday.

  320. Park Life says:

thank you lads for making a Saturday night in so much fun. laughed my ass off at the dispatching of those ‘orrible cockneys.

as for the game, I feel a draw is on the cards. We’ll need an absolutely perfect performance to keep their counter attacking at bay. we normally do that by keeping them busy at the other end.

If it’s a Berbatunday then all bets are off and we’ll be returning to OT back where we belong

    can’t wait now

    GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED

  321. Real Red Devil says:

I just searched about the shitty blogs in the net out of my curiosity to know what that shitty people are writing about going on top.But i couldn,t find any that’s ho big shitty is?

  322. Unitedfanatic says:

    @Ash:
Ramsey went to l’arse because we were buying him with a clause. Which stated that he would be returning to his club on loan for a year, and then later arrive at United.
I think that’s what pissed him off and he saw Arsenal opportunity to shine and get his big break.

  323. Zalee says:

I think Man Utd should give Fabio more times on the pitch now.Let him start for more games now to build his strength & confidence. Do everyone remember the rumour signing Dodo?

  324. Always Be Closing says:

Now? Against Spurs when we have so many games coming up within fifteen days that aren’t as difficult as this?

  325. Ash says:

    @unitedfanatic
Mate i dont think that was the reason i think he was upset that fergie himself never came to see ramsey. But anyways i still say we need to improve on tranfer market.
On another point i think we can make our own bale in fabio.Fabio should be tried in left wing position.Remember he was the highest scorer in fifa u-17 world cup in 2007.Fabio should play more games and should become a regular for us.That boy is talented like his bro rafael.

  326. Written Offside says:

Rafael will deal with Bale I am sure . We just have to be careful not to pick up early bookings by hacking him down as otherwise could be difficult afternoon. Should be the day that Rafael finally gets the praise he deserves. Bale will beat opponents with pace but he does not have any tricks to scare you.

Nani can cause Assou-Ekottu a lot of problems and i think Evra will look to drag Lennon back into his own half with plenty of quick counter attacks.

  327. Ash says:

You know i think its good rafael is not in the media like bale becaus eof him getting praise. It adds a lot of pressure on a young player.
Our biggest positive this season so far is rafael. And remember he is still just 20 and has already played 70 odd games for us.In couple of years he will be a monstrous of a player.Who knowh he may win the world cup with brazil along with our ando.

  328. mattbw7 says:

Is the lead singer of gorrilaz related to Bale?

  329. Costas says:

    Where’s the English cock wanker?

  330. Collyhurst Red says:

    @Costas

I think he (she?) has admitted defeat!

Really looking forward to the game today, quite confident we won’t be beat as well.

  331. Unitedfanatic says:

    @Ash:

I don’t think he would be disappointed because of such a small thing. Joining the club he supported would have been his dream, which couldn’t possibly be shattered just because Fergie didn’t welcome him for the stadium tour. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion, but this is what I think.
And about rafael not being hyped, agree with you totally. He’s better off away from the spotlight at this stage. He’s too young, and although he maybe able to handle it, it’s more of a burden.

  332. Costas says:

    @Collyhurst Red

I hope so. It would be refreshing, albeit not easy at all, to see a commanding performance by United today. But I have a feeling that it will be a tough game and one we might have to come from behind to win it.

If Spurs win, I am expecting to see the cock sucker back, lol.

  333. Costas says:

I meant commanding performance awya from home.

  334. smartalex says:

Tevez says that taking him off when off when on a hat trick is the last straw.
    http://advanced.worth1000.com/entries/265064/farmer-cow

  335. Costas says:

    @smartalex

Lol. Adebayor has never looked better.

  336. Collyhurst Red says:

    @Costas

    “awya from home”?

I’ll put it down to pre-match nerves!

  337. vika09 says:

It’s ok. We already have a Welsh Wizard.

  338. smartalex says:

    Costas
Adebayor has a beef with Mancini, who has provided maps to the goals
    for his herd of freezelands!

  339. Ash says:

    Unitedfanatic
I f he didnt join because of the reason you are giving then ramsey must be a fool.I dont think anyone knows what EXACTLY happened to that deal.
On another note I would prefer to see spurs in the champs league than shitty but it looks like both of them will finish in top 4.Chelski may be fighting in uefa cup next season.

  340. smartalex says:

    Ash
Sir Alex reckons that city and spurs are competing for 4th, as the top 3 will come from
    United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

  341. Ash says:

    @smart alex
Yeah i read that interview in which fergie said that but i still have a feeling chelski may be thrown out of top 4 if their form remains like this for the rest of season.
I think top 4 would be
    United(#19th)
    arsenal
    city
    chelsea

  342. smartalex says:

    Ash
Lampard has been saying that a top 4 finish is now their aim.
    Stamford Bridge is falling down!

  343. filex4ever says:

glad we don’t have bale, i hope we don’t get him either, he’s good once in a while

  344. parryheid says:

Think today Harry will have one of those What the heck happened there everybody said they were poor and lucky Days. Its a KABOOM day.

  345. Ash says:

    @smartalex
You know i am not surprised at chelskis fall.Look at their squad any true and knowledgeable fellow would say their squad is weak.Lampard wont be the same in next season and same goes for dogbreath as both will reach 34.
We may not have a very squad strong but we have a very good squad and a large squad. One or two signings will make our squad stronger.

  346. smartalex says:

    Ash
The range of ages in our squad gives it a season-by-season rolling depth that
no other Premiership squad can lay claim to.
Chelsea’s squad is missing the adults. Its all geriatrics and virgins.

  347. Costas says:

If Chelsea and Spurs get their act together for the remainder of the season, then City’s top 4 spot will be threatened. But Lampard is realistic I feel. No way back for Chelsea in the title race.

Anyway, if we go on to win today, that should give us confidence for the other big away games later in the season.

  348. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Have to win today. Although I’m playing it safe and sticking a fiver on a draw. The Spurs team will pick itself will be interesting to see whether we start with Giggs or not. I think it will be PIG, Rafael, Vidic, Rio, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher, Rooney and Berbatov. Need a big big performance from Fletcher today.

  349. smartalex says:

If it irritates anyone that I’m showing my boredom, please say so.

    Darth Scholes owns Luke Young
    http://www.saynotocrack.com/img/cow_star_wars.jpg

  350. smartalex says:

    NRD
Same pick as Costas (I think..?) Maybe you guys are on to something.

  351. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@smartalex – is it? I haven’t read his pick. Its going to be an exciting game I’ve never wanted to beat spurs so badly since the last game of the season in 1999 and yes that includes the league cup final from a couple of years back.

  352. Ash says:

    @Costas
I dont think now manckini will miss out on top 4 spot.I hate to say this but up till now they are playing more planned football than chelski, liverfools and even to some extent spurs. If shitty keep playing like this for rest of season they will be in top 4 irrespective of how spurs and chelski play.
Todays game is very important for spurs.A loss for them will be a huge blow for them to reach top 4.I think they will play a more attacking football which would suit us.Hope rooney is at his best.Rooney of last season would crush this spuds.

  353. smartalex says:

    NRD
Every interview or preview is backing spurs. You’d think we’ve earned some respect after the last 10 years against them, and the fact we’re unbeaten. But no, they all lie (or they are deluded.)
A draw away would be enough for most teams, but we’ve already fallen behind on a team-by-team result comparison of this season to last year. We win today, and everyone else’s smiles will be banished!

  354. Costas says:

Yep, I picked the same line up with Notorious. Ferguson has often started with Fletcher on the right, because it’s easier to revert from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1. I don’t like speaking about missing players, but I wish Park was available today.

    @smartalex

LOL, the Vader one was hillarious. They don’t get irritating, that’s for sure.

I was about to post the same thing just now. That after a bit oif web surfing, I realized that a LOT of people are predicting a Spurs win today. Andy Gray among them. As I said, nothing I haven’t heard the last 7 times we’ve faced Harry’s Spurs. Notice the pattern here? I guess it pays to be a media darling like him. They always link you to the England job, they laud your work (Ferguson or Wenger have been critisized a lot more than Redknapp by the press) and you can tap players in public…

  355. parryheid says:

Hope springs eternal for Harry trying to talk up Spurs chances + Journo’s,Andy Gray et al and later today KABOOM.

  356. TonyBee says:

hey Costas any team news yet ….

  357. Costas says:

    @Ash

It depends on those two games in hands for them. Plus, they still have to go to Liverpool, OT and the Bridge. City have one thing working against them. That they are shity and they always fuck up. But they do have one thing working for them. Their squad’s chemistry is growing and they are becoming more of a team. Who knows for sure? Depending on results, they could be our main threat to the title. They are not better than last season. Arsenal, Chelsea and us, have dropped down closer to their level…

  358. Costas says:

    @TonyBee

You should have asked last night. Now it’s too late, lol. We will know in 3 hours.

  359. wayne says:

morning seems alot of pundits/press are raving about dezko, the highlights i saw looked liked a big awkard gangly cunt we’ll see maybe my hatred for city clouds the judgement.think its good the bookies have utd as underdogs and alot of pundits are picking spurs to win, puts more pressure on them.i said before spurs are tailor made for utd, any team that attacks us has a good chance to get spanked not very often get a chance to bet utd as a dog so i always do.i never worry about games because the team is very hard to beat no matter who’s in front of us.fuck ‘arry the cunt utd will turn them over today

  360. Troy says:

I must admit to having a soft spot for Spurs and I hope they qualify for the Champions League again (at the expense of City naturally) but all these bloody pundits expecting us to loose is pissing me off.
Hope Sir Fergie selects his strongest side. Fletcher must tackle Modric into oblivion and Rafael must reintroduce Bale to his pocket.

  361. NotoriousRedDevil says:

Our run vs Spurs is similar to the run vs Villa which eventually ended, that added to our results away from home is probably why the pundits are going for a Spurs win. I have to disagree with them they have been lazy in regards to the way we have been playing just saying the cliché “Their unbeaten but haven’t played well” Do your jobs and look at it properly something the manager has addressed the other day. Agree with Costas having Park today would cause Spurs all sorts of problems.

  362. smartalex says:

    ex Said and Done

Harry Redknapp – unhappy with Man City for unsettling Gareth Bale: “I don’t know why Roberto [Mancini] is talking about Gareth Bale. Gareth doesn’t want to move and we don’t want to sell.” Also from Harry last week: “Phil Neville’s a fantastic professional, a great player. David [Moyes] doesn’t want to lose him – so it’d be difficult.”
(Harry’s previous: 31 Jan 09: “I don’t know why Rafa Benítez gets so upset – it’s strange. I just said Robbie Keane’s a terrific player, but he belongs to Liverpool. It was never a goer.” 2 Feb: Signs him.)

  363. Ash says:

I dont know how true is this but Sergio Busquets is strongly linked to man utd.I dont think this will happen but sergio will nicely fit into our team

  364. willierednut says:

I’m both hung over, and hung like a donkey. Just need to watch the film, The Hang over, to complete the set. ps Come on the Toffee men!

  365. wayne says:

another thing thats portrayed by the pundits/press is that spurs are this high scoring free flowing wonderful team to watch well thats a fallacy spurs have only scored 31 goals 1.47 per game.city who everyone considers a boring team to watch has 6 more goals scored.just shows when the hype m/c gets going teams get labeled a certain way whether its true or not,

  366. Costas says:

    @smartalex

    Exactly. What a clown.

  367. The United Way says:

Why is Bale getting so much hype?

Where are the articles about Nani, the finest winger in the country?

Where are the articles about Rafael, fast becoming the world’s most complete right back?

Always a Spurs and Liverpool love-in with the media. Always.

  368. NotoriousRedDevil says:

@ Smartalex – Spoke to a spurs fan about Harry’s tapping up of players and his response at least was that at least Harry says it all in public. Couldn’t make this shit up could you.

  369. marchintothesea says:

Personally I’m absolutely sick to the back teeth of reading about Bale and Spurs in general. The total media Spurs wankfest is getting extremely boring.

Merson reckons 3-1 and our biggest challenge of the season so far. City and Arse are both better teams and spurs were shite at OT.

  370. wayne says:

read an article yesterday on football blog about rafael’s development into the best right back in the league but the mainstream press/tv very rarely give the team or players any love

  371. Costas says:

Yet, when Sir Alex supposedly tapped up Berbatov in public, Daniel Levy reported him to the FA.

What a bunch of hypocritical cunts.

  372. Park Life says:

haha Costas gunning for English cocksucka first thing, made me chuckle! you are relentless! love it.

Got a feeling we may start with one striker. hopefully berba with Rooney from the left (woulda def been Park if he was avail..) Scholesey, Anderson and Fletcher could provide us with creativity, mobility and stability INO
It’s gonna be fast paced with early chances so hope we bag one as I know they will be ‘out of the blocks’ regardless.. 1-1 1-2 could be ht or ft score.

loving the jokes smartalex! helping with the nerves!lol

right, off to get ze booze!!

  373. wayne says:

this bale hype mainly started after his dismantling of inter, the fsw gave him all the room in the world and maicon isn’t great defensively.see now the fsw has gone inter are winning games again

  374. willierednut says:

Forget about Bale and VDV, the man we have to stop is Modric. He pulls the strings for Spurs, and usually starts all their attacks. We need Anderson to do a job on him and close him down at every opportunity. Nani will be key in our attack, but he needs to help Rafa as well, going the other way. These away games, is were we really miss Parks energy. So, Nani must be willing to track back and help out RDS.

  375. smartalex says:

Sir Alex keeps the media’s attention away from our players (esp. youngsters), often by ‘performing’ for the press. Bebe was 1 example where the media thought they had SAF, but they moved too quick, as you can’t argue with goals. That press conference where he let some of them back in is already enshrined in every football manager’s delirious daydreams.

  376. thedonmassawe says:

busquets is overated in my opinion

  377. willierednut says:

Cut off the supply to Bale and VDV, that’s half the battle won. Then, let our attacking players do the rest. Off to watch blue noses, hopefully put one over the dippers.

  378. wayne says:

me to that would be so sweet king kenny losing his first home game

  379. Ash says:

Parks next game i think eill be against villa at home. Its great to see people now realizing park jis importance.
On another note sunderland looked listless toaday without welbeck.Welbeck has been there best player so far.He may return next week.

  380. smartalex says:

Asian Final is on 29th and Villa is on the 1st of Feb.
Ji can bring the trophy on the bus to add impetus.

  381. lawman10 says:

No pre-match team talk needed today!! all this media & spurs talk about united not been a good side
    is all fergie needs.
hope united go and put on a show at spurs & fucking hammer em.
sick to death of harry giving it royal how great his team are & united there for for the taking.
so come on united turn it on.

  382. Paul Parker says:

the current Spurs/Bale hype is all about the Olympic Stadium and the fact they probably have the best chance to beat us so far this Season, so everybodies suddenly Yiddish, pathetic.

The thing is, Bale was once a bit like our very own Obertan, and I’d rather keep him then sign the Welshman. Bale may have been over hyped in the press but he’s not over-rated. Imo the only thing he’s got over Obi is a year or two and a LOT more playing time, which both equals more confidence – but thats about it – give our Left Winger some more starts and watch him go, we didn’t buy him for nothing.

  383. fergie is the boss says:

Paul Parker- not being funny,, but any united fan would rather united to have signed bale than keep obertan.

  384. Paul Parker says:

FITB – alright mate? well, clearly not “every” united fan would rather we sign Bale for £50M than keep Obertan – Because I’ve been Red forever and I’d rather keep Obi then sign Bale.

Ask yourself, who was Bale 2 seasons ago? To put it differently, there were people who WANTED that Dzeko fella for £25M and said signig Hernandez was a joke, or they wanted that Da Silva fella for £25M and thought Nani was a joke….

Get my gist – now whose laughing? I know I am. I stand by what I say mate, rather than break the bank for Bale I’d prefer we keep hold of Obertan for another Season and let him develop into a first team LW…. everything Bale has over Obertan is down to GAMES… Let Obi get the same amount of first team minutes under his belt and watch this space mate.
