I will be happy if we play good football and the players do the best as they can, and some youngsters fulfill the promise to be first team regulars.

If that is good enough to win some trophies then great! If not then it’s no problem, you can’t win things every year – lately we have been so spoilt with trophies its unreal!

ya.thats right. thats the mindset of the club that we go for all trophies and want to win all of them and that is how it should for a club like united but we will need new players to settle in well and the youngsters to mature even more.that may take time.

also the reason we have been winning the league is bcoz of the strength of the squad and the ability to get wins against the lesser teams even wen a few crucial players have been injured or rested.

in europe however we need some quality.ronaldo is gone so it may take some time before someone goes upa couple of gears and becomes the best player in the world.hope it happens this season but we have to be patient and trust the boss and nt get frustrated if we dont have a very sucessful season that we have got used to in the past couple of years.

Morning Costas, gotta hate, aig and boogeyman etc etc – I would be more than happy with the league but as Rio said yesterday we will be going for the lot again. Manchester United know no other way. They are winners simple as that!!

Good morning,all.
To be honest,Costa,I’m not exactly pessimistic,but my hopes go in this order:
1.Don’t get relegated.
2.Don’t finish below 10th.
3.Don’t finish below City.
4.Qualify for Europa League.
5.Top 4.
6.Win the FA Cup.
7.Win the League.
8.UCL Knockout stage.
9.UCL semis.
10.Win the Treble.

I know we can win the league(Hell,we can even win the Treble,in my opinion),and also think we’re going to(The League),but I keep my expectations as low as possible to prevent disappointment.
I would be highly disappointed if we ended the season trophyless,but over the moon if we won the league,because that would mean a record 4th in a row and us overhauling the dippers’ 18 titles.

Yep, i think that it’s difficult to see 2 or 3 trophies at OT next season. What we also have to do this year is work on our defender injury crisis. We are losing too many. I hope Rio handles things pretty well until Vida and Brown return. No news on Rafael unfortunately.

spot on mate.i too wud love a 19th title as the only trophy but it will be difficult than last 2 years to retain the league.maybe in a few years wen likes of evans,fabio,rafael,gibson,kiko and welbeck get experience to play in the Cl we can challenge for everything again like we did last 2 years.
However more often than not SAF gets his tactics right in europe(except Barca).look at porto,roma,barca(2008match),arsenal and other knockout game

i repeat what i said.we lost in rome bcoz we had no plan b.we came flying out of the blocks and had some good early chances.barca were struggling and scored the against the run of play.that clearly affected the players and we did not recover after that.had we started badly and lost a goal we wud have recovered for sure and come back.

To be honest with you guys, i would gladly take just the 4rth straight league title without any other trophy. We have a golden new generation, but i don’t see them making winning the League Cup or the FA cup. And i see this year’s CL as a tall mountain. That’s why i think we should concentrate our efforts primarily on the Premier League. Of course, i don’t mean that we should give up on the other trophies.

what final?? Dun want to ever have slight bit of that painfull memories of ROME..Players worth a couple of millions not showing up for the biggest match is just a disgraceful and platoon…But even so,was we look bak at the season it wasn’t a vintage season for united,it was like doin a job rather than winning in fashion style that really disappoint me..Nevertheless,SAF will need to bounce bak this season and hope he learn his lesson,that is never played a game where we throw arsenic to bonfire..Ps:Barcelona are still the team to beat..ROME rematch 2..
