    Andy The King Cole.

Andy Cole was one of the most prolific goalscorer the premiership has ever seen. Ok he never made it at international level put you cannot take away the amount of goals Cole banged in for United. Actually he never got the respect he deserves amongst the old trafford faithful.
    Why?

  2. Mic says:

I don’t know, i’d find it hard to remove players from that list, it’s a good list.

  3. Scott the Red says:

    Azza – Cole wasn’t a summer buy.

  4. 5rio says:

Rio Ferdinand is my no1.He should be at least no.5!!!Strong defence!!!

  5. Tony Starks says:

Of course… Andrei Kanchelskis! Those were the days

  6. Scott the Red says:

    Tony – Kanchelskis wasn’t a summer signing.

  7. Stephen says:

Gary Pallister was a top defender should have got more England caps, but Roy Keane has to be the one!

  8. john terry's penalty says:

cantona wasn’t a summer signing either!

  9. bmac says:

Lads, its a hard one…. I’d have the 90’s players before the current crop.

  10. alan wood says:

the first three canditates should be ronaldo (the best player in the world) ,Schmeichel(best goli in the world in his time)and rio (best centre half in the world)with all respect to the others never best in the world in there postions

  11. nagraj says:

RVN does not deserve to be 6th on that list…

A year or two on, Anderson and Nani will make that list…

  12. baaly82 says:

  17. Mo says:

id take out rooney and put giggs there

  18. Jimmybob says:

ronadlo, the great dane ,rio and keane best 4 summer buys eric was mid season wasn;t he?

  19. PeeJay says:

Yup, Cantona wasn’t a summer signing.

I think they realize that at 18 yrs old, for £12.24mil Ronaldo deserves to be top of the list but they probably didn’t want to jump on the CR7 bandwagon, rightly so. It’s like doing a who’s the best United player and not putting Ronaldo just because everybody else would.

  20. pdm says:

we’ve had and have some good players!
yorke was the one catalist that eventually delivered the 99 euro cup. He even made cole look good.

  21. OTRed says:

As others have said, Cantona wasn’t a summer buy, but if he REALLY was, he’d be my number one. So Scott, got any plans for Fergie’s top January transfer buys?

  22. sittingbison says:

Hold it, didn’t Scott say this was a list compiled by the Sun, and invited us to comment and alter? In which case the observations about mistakes etc should be directed at the Sun muppet…oops I meant journo.

  23. roniit says:

I dont think Rooney deserve that place because he hasnt deliver yet.he hasnt justify his price tag.I think Cole,Vidic,Evra are more deserve than Rooney. But he is a quality player.

  24. dozer says:

Ronaldo was not a summer signing as well.

  25. ManchesterMonkey says:

Why has no one said Jaap Stam? He was also the best defender in the world at one point

  26. jim says:

ole only cost – £1.5 million

    fuck me

    what a bit of buisness

  27. Scott the Red says:

Dozer – we signed Ronnie August 03.

  28. Jas Rai says:

can’t believe some numpty said Giggs…..what a fan. dear oh dear

  29. dela says:

Vidic’s omission is conspicuous, especially considering the price we paid for him.
