After scoring just 5 goals in 29 league games for Manchester United last season, Sir Alex Ferguson decided Carlos Tevez wasn’t worth the £25m his owner was asking for.

If you try and understand what Fergie has just said then you should understand that £25 million was not the right deal. He didn’t go along with it and therefore Tevez claims that he was ‘chucked out’ of OT.

The Formation and tactics we had last year only benifited one player and that was ronaldo, every other player made sacarafices…. Berbatov often dropped very deap to let Ronaldo Bomb Forwrad and get more chances.. The teams formation was what i called Ronaldo Formation!
This season we are going to see Rooney and Berbatov get more chances, i forsee Berbatov playing more forward and having more an effect!
I reckon that if Nani doesn’t shape himself this season then we could get our bloody money back no probs. Trevor, we were good for Tevez! There were a lot of things in his favour coming to OT. We had already had one Argie do a Judas on us and Tevez was happy to play along with the role of ‘the loyal Argie’, the guy who brought redemption for the acts of his mercenary and cowardly country man. The fact is that he has done exactly the same thing that Heinze did! He did not like competition. He felt that one good season should have give him a spot for life, and could not see past his own poor contribution at the beginning of last season.
I like Fergie was misguided by Tevez’s form two seasons ago. I felt secure in the knowledge that we had a guy who was big enough to take on the match winning role in the event of injuries or suspensions to Rooney or Cristiano. When that actually happened, Tevez failed miserably and we were all disappointed with his performances in the first couple of months of last season. He never really recovered from that and didn’t have a single period where he approached anything like his form of the first season with us. His highlight was the thrashing of a second rate Blackburn side in the Carling Cup. That, quite frankly, is something that should be the domain of the accademy boys, not a £25 mill striker with the best club in the world!
Anyone who has watched United closely over the last two seasons would surely have to admit that Tevez was not worth £25 million! He worked hard, gave his all and scored some important goals but just not enough of them. His departing argument about not starting enough games, and subsequently not getting enough respect just doesn’t hold water! He was given enough chances to prove that he could hold down a place in Fergie’s starting 11. I’ve no problem recognizing Tevez as good player but he wasn’t working out at United!
I’ve always held the believe that United never did offer the money to keep him in a red shirt. His bitterness proves this!

It’s one thing saying 5 goals in 29 apps in the league, but it’s another thing saying last season he scored more goals than Berbatov altogether, and let’s not forget in his first season he scored so many vital goals. Is Berba really worth 30m or are we trying to convince ourselves? Berbatov is older, doesn’t have as much of an impact in the bigger games, his work rate is alot lower and Tevezs first season was far better than Berbatovs even if he did miss pre season, I don’t think either was worth £25m after last season, I think if we’re all honest, we’d admit that.
If Tevez kept his mouth shut and didn’t contradict himself i’d still think he was a legend with a quality 2 seasons at our club, but some of the stuff that has been quoted back to him is just disgraceful, he could’ve left our club, not gone Liverpool, gone City, claim he wasn’t treated right (i’d agree with that, after such a great first season, his second he was cast aside, even when playing well whereas Berbatov was playing despite how poorly he’d do) and we’d've all just forgiven him for going to the wastelands.
I pray to God he doesn’t score, the arrogant little shit better not disrespect Ferguson if he does, if he claims to love the fans, he should know we love Fergie more than anything, I know that’s true for me.
I’m glad to see the Argie-bastard leave. I think the team will benefit from having young talented players like Wellbeck, Kiko etc sitting patiently on the bench, rather than having a overrated donkey sitting there. I think people forget when we talk about Berba that he scored 14 goals and had 10 assists in the league.u also forget that he did not start the CL Final,semifinal(both legs).he started against porto and was brilliant at the dragao even though he didnt score.
Tevez scored 15 goals and had 6 assists in 51 games.

So berba was better and he missed a lot of big games.

He was third-choice for Argentina and Diego Maradona told him that he had to be playing first-team club footie to be considered for a chance of dislodging his own son-in-law (Sergio Aguero) to be paired with Lionel Messi in the World Cup. And, he has clearly stated on numerous occasions that he wanted to go back to Buenos Aires before he was thirty.
