Wow. Last season was voted as one of Sir Alex Fergusons biggest acheivements. If we won it this year, it would be even better. It would be Massive!
Arsenal are playing great football and do not look beatable in the league. I do feel they are doing what we were last year, playing with style, scoring lots of goals, defending well, winning when they do not deserve to, getting lucky.
We look more likely to win the Champions League which is still a lottery. Arsenal for the Premier League is also looking very likely. I do genuinely feel they will win it.
But don’t tell anyone I said it.
dont think so im sad to say why oh why we didnt get another striker in jan, take tevez or rooney out (see sunday) and we are way too light up front.
Id take any silverwear but i fear the lge has gone
fuk cos its gone it was gone weeks ago all we have been doing most of the season is catch up5 points is far to much now oh and no way do we look more likly winning the championsleague both are a no ac milan wherent even one of the best sides last year but brushed us aside a team that just scrapted 4th place behind poor teams like roma
me..
poor (pr)
adj. poor·er, poor·est
1. Having little or no wealth and few or no possessions.
2. Lacking in a specified resource or quality.
3. Not adequate in quality; inferior: a poor performance.
4.
a. Lacking in value; insufficient: poor wages.
b. Lacking in quantity: poor attendance.
Didn’t want to have to teach you what POOR means but you do not seem to know.
the only good thing about our defeat is that all the pressure is on Arsenal now. If we lose a game then I can accept that the league is basically gone, and I think everyone’s ready for that. If we did lose then we could (for once) focus all of our efforts on the Champions League (which Arsenal has NEVER won) and the FA cup.
If we keep winning then we just wait and hope that Chelsea or Liverpool or some other team can snatch a tie off of Arsenal when they play them at Stamford or Anfield, and that we beat the Arse at home when they come this spring.
Basically, Arsenal has to perform week-in week-out and we have to make sure that they know the pressure’s on them. Maybe their inexperience and injuries catch up to them. And who knows…we dropped points just after we had been playing some breathtaking football, who says they can’t?
The 5 points lead Arsenal has isn’t the issue as right now, when we had a much smaller margin of lead over them or when the season kicked off, no one has the right to win it until they do, at the end of the season. Many more games until then and season is about to warm up to a game every 3-4 days, so teams playing on multiple fronts will slip up in the competitions they are in. Arsenal can as well and this final run in is where their metal will be tested, as would be ours and Chelsea. They are the ones in the disadvantage in this, having far less experienced hands yet they have been doing well with the strong team unity barring the Adebayor-Bentner episode in their CC defeat. That is sign enough that they are human and can still break apart.
My concern with us isn’t the 5 points gap from the other team but in how our team is shaping up. We haven’t formed a cohesive/fluid style of play after the summer changes that combine with consistency, unlike last season. Until this summer, the changes to the squad have been phased and minuet, allowing the team to blend and form a style suited to the personnel. The new players while great in individual quality have not formed to our (past) style and that has affected last season’s core as well. We have to gain a new equilibrium and I do wonder if we can do so in time before the outcomes are irreversible. We are however stronger in depth and I think in cup competition we have every opportunity to do better. In the league especially, this repeated rhythm deficiency can be more telling. Still I hope and hey we are still in the three major pursuits. Have pity for poor scousers who have to concentrate on fourth placing finish. Not.
For us two win the league we would need
to win all the remaining twelve games.
if ever there was a game united needed a pick me up it would be against arsenal.
Why,because there have been the team of the season. Those three points and a place in the quarter finals would go a long way in reviving the side psychologically, physically.
they would see some hope that arsenal are beatable. They(lads) just need to play out of their socks.when was the last time Arsenal came to Old trafford and they were favourites.Game on united.Keep the red flag flying
