Fletch: Rooney Loves Being A Red

Darren Fletcher has dismissed rumours that Wayne Rooney is ready to leave Manchester United, in light of the recent allegations about his private life.

Asked if Wayne would ever quit, he said: “No, he’s a big part of ­United’s history now. He ­absolutely loves ­playing for this club.”

    Music to my ears. Going with the theme of old shirts, I think it would be very fitting if there were plenty of 1977 retro shirts on display, reminding the dirties that we destroyed their treble dreams that year.
