I’m sorry, but anybody who compares Casillas to Foster needs to get their eyes checked. Iker showed signs of being world class when he was 18 years old and has lived up to his potential. Foster is still a big unknown at the highest level and whilst i hope he does well this season i’m not alone in thinking that perhaps with his injuries and his confidence in the really big games that we should have a Plan B if EVD decides to retire next year.

Wanna see the lad succeed, but he hasn’t convinced me yet.

I am not so sure yet about Ben Foster, i mean, Casillas is one hell of a keeper, one in a whole generation in any country, just like Buffon is in Italy. And that kind of talent is even rarer than VDS. While Foster is definitely very good, let’s just not get too far ahead. I just hope he stays injury free for a long long time so that he can have his fair chance to oust VDS. Because if he succeeds in displacing VDS as our no1, then that only means we have one of the best GK in the world.

Foster is a great shot stopper, he does drop some clangers but so does Edwin. If Benny gets the mistakes out of his game he will be United and England number 1.

Just saw a Benitez press conference. He says that Glen Johnson is the quality they need to win the Premiership. The funniest thing he said was that with Voronin coming back, they have a more than capable strike force. Torres fair enough, Voronin, Babel, Kuyt. You having a laugh, is he having a laugh.

Foster has been waiting on the sidelines for VDS to retire. I guess he deserves a chance when VDS hangs up his boots but I doubt Foster can knock VDS off the starting eleven while he’s still playing.

Who is England’s number one goalkeeper at the moment? David James? Robert Green? Paul Robinson…lol ? Seriously, what is Capello’s first choice?

I think Kuzichak (however it’s spelled) is an ok reserve keeper. He will never be more than that at United. In my opinion, if he wishes to stay and be backup for Foster next season he’s more than welcome to do that.
