Tim Fosu-Mensah has received his first call up to the Netherlands squad, after making his debut for Manchester United in the 3-2 win back in February.

His first appearance came just a month after he turned 18, and he has gone from strength to strength in the first team since then.

Last week, compatriot and fellow Ajax academy graduate Daley Blind has sung the praises of Fosu-Mensah.

Tim is a big talent and also from Holland so I talk a lot to him. We were at the same youth academy and that will help him even more. I’m very happy that he’s doing so well. He gives everything in every game and there is a lot to come from him. He needs to keep going now and stay strong and we will help. I’m really pleased for him.
