Gerrard: Difficult To See Owen At United

Things aren’t looking good in Merseyside at the moment, with Liverpool picking up yet another disappointing result in Europe last night, which puts them five points behind the team above them and six points off the top of the group, with just two matches to play.

In the league, they are currently 6th with just three points distancing them from 10th placed Burnley.

So to add insult to injury, they have to see their former hero playing for United. The two goals he’s scored for us in the past week certainly can’t help! Just ask Stevie Me…

“I don’t like it,” he said. “It’s weird and doesn’t look right. I played with him in the red of Liverpool since I was 10, so to see him in the red of United is difficult for me. Obviously it was a chance he needed to take so I wish him well personally – but I do not want United to do well at all.”

Bet you wish your manager wasn’t such a stubborn git eh? Rafa’s putting himself on my Christmas card list, don’t like him, love what he’s doing to Liverpool. Funny how they got excited about beating Hull 6-1 at home.

  2. Redbeard says:

If you think that’s difficult Stevie, wait ’til you see him lift the Premiership Trophy!

Then again, look on the bright side. If the dippers get relegated Fergie might throw you a lifeline.

  3. Sayyid says:

Can’t wait to see Owen lifting that Premiership title..and seeing the look on StevieMe’s face.

Btw, have you seen Liverpool’s next few fixtures??? Certainly doesn’t get easier for the dippers, especially as both Gerrard and Torres may be 6 weeks out!!!

  4. Sayyid says:

    remember…this is their year

Can’t wait to see them playing in the Europa League

  5. Nick the Finn says:

Difficult to see Owen at United ey? Well, it’s always difficult to see somebody make better descisions than your self. It’s hard when it hits you… that you have to rotten in a mid-table club with only a past and no future your intire carrier.

Got upset when Babel (shouldn’t be allowed to have the same name as our legend) scored, but slept like a baby after Lopez equalized yesterday.

  6. Stretford Ender says:

Lopez’ goal was awesome! Again he took Torres off being arrogant, where as Fergie goes all out when we need 2 goals. What a prick Gerrard is, we don’t give a shit about how ‘difficult’ it is. It was difficult to see that tosser Caragher rugby tackle Owen when through one on one and not get a 3 game ban! Also did anyone see Agger get away with it last night when already booked?! what is going on with these idiots being alowed to commit countless fouls.

    CAN’T WAIT TILL SUNDAY!

Oh yeah and Fletch playing with a broken bone is awesome, we love you Fletch!!

  7. RedDevil says:

    “Difficult’ my ass!
The stupid cunt should quit whining..
I guess we’ll soon be seeing Saint Stevie of Me flirting with Chelsea…or will it be the ‘Joke’ of a team from Manchester

  8. cherry says:

Ok stevie…u wait till may when Owen will be lifting trophies for fun…then u will knw what a gr8 decission he made to join the best club in the world

  9. Jordan Moore says:

Maybe he just felt like joining a club that have ACTUALLY won the Premiership?

  10. aig alex is god says:

I can understand why stevie me said that and he does have a point but as i have said before i repeat it again, you only realise it when you are in that position yourself.Owen was in a difficult position,so it is obvious when a club like United come for you it is a great chance to get your career back on track.who will not take it? shows that micky owen really wants to prove everyone wrong and thats why he has agreed to accept such a low salary to join United.Thats why cunts like Robbie Fowler should keep their mouth shut rather than giving their needless opinions.owen also has an England career to look forward to.Fowler was a flop for England

  11. Bob Koh says:

This myth about L’pool should just die off. I wonder about their ‘fans’ when they’ve a manager who seems to know shit about tactics & the transfer market. He got lucky when AC Milan got too complacent in his 1st season & won them the CL and since then, ‘this is their year’ has become the battle cry to no avail. ‘They never walk alone’ had made me farted each time I hear it and which is quite often this season! I’m guessing I’ll never fart alone!

  12. RedDevil says:

    @ Bob Koh
“I’ll never fart alone” —Lol man…..had me in stitches!!
    Hahahahahahaha

    OBITUARY

On the 4th November 2009, whilst quietly sleeping during a short European Holiday in France, Liverpool Football Club passed away after a prolonged illness.
The Club had the waiter from its favourite Spanish Restaurant by the bedside during its final 90 minutes.
The next of kop has asked that people do not send flowers but cash donations which they promise to give to a charity and that you can trust them honest like.
A service of remembrance will be held at Old Trafford where Gary Neville will read from the Book of Trophies and then songs will be sung by the world famous Old Trafford choir.

RIP Liverpool – We will never forget how you suffered during those final 18 years.

Hey, Ho Life goes on. We must carry on winning the League – its what they would have wanted. Hahaha.

  15. vishnu says:

what odds do you think i’d get for Liverpool vs Bayern Munich as the Europa League Final?? Surly they’re odds on favourites now to win it.

  16. vishnu says:

“Hey Stevie, he said waiving over his national team comrade, i’d like to introduce you to Rafael, he’s got a Premier League winners medal” Gary Neville.

  18. diavolorosso says:

“Liverpool have just had probably their best season for 20 years, finished up with 86 points and still finished four adrift,” he said. “It will be hard for them to match that, let alone improve. Other teams will read Liverpool better.”

Vishnu: I took 9-1 last week on Liverpool to win the Europa League…down to 6-1 today!

  21. David Nathaniel says:

Don’t ya’ll think Gerrard would be a fantastic buy? I know he has injury prone but SAF is the one manager who knows how manage such players. He is doing pretty welll with Owen.

Gerrard will shit bricks when he see’s Owen lift the trophy.

  24. kel says:

Consider Rafael just came to this club and already won one BPL. Sorry gerrard. you have to endure for so long. So sorry you choose the wrong way and support the wrong club. Sorry for being so successful this past 2 decades. Sorry being the most supported clubs in the world. Sorry for signing one of your former mates. Sorry for everything. Next life time, perhaps you will make a good choice.

  25. smithy99 says:

@READ CAREFULLY……Fantastic mate! Do you do this for a living??! You’re a genius! lol

  26. JD says:

also barcelona mite not qualify also (wtf?)

  27. King Eric says:

    off topic

What is with this cunt? “Over the hill mob” and “decline”. Fuck off you Scouse Bastard!

  28. giggs11gerrard0 says:

I always enjoy Gerrard coming out and advising how much he hates United, he is a proper scouser and shouldnt want us to win as we get great joy at watching their demise!!! What will be more difficult for him is to see Owen challenging for the league title. Carragher has finally go it right, they should stop concentrating on hoping United dont win the title and actually try to win it themselves!

  29. keith_mac says:

Last season Benitez had his rant and it was all about FACTS, this season Liverpool have lost 5 times in the league to Fulham, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Tottenham, Sunderland. F-A-C-T-S. How’s that for FACTS Benitez!!!!

  30. King Eric says:

    Sorry didn’t post the link : http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/columnists/mcgovern/2009/11/05/manchester-united-set-to-ditch-nani-in-tough-financial-times-115875-21798843/

As for Stevie Me, get over it. I have Liverpool tv free for some reason so thought I would have a watch after the game. Funny as fuck. Scousers ringing in STILL standing by the FSW! One caller said “we can now concentrate on the league and I reckon we can do it. United aren’t the same team without Ronaldo and Tevez, Chelsea have the ANC and Arsenal have sold Adebayour and Toure”. Yeah but these teams keep winning you deluded cunts. Best calls were “if we buy Villa and a top centre half and midfielder in Jan”. Yeah right, like you are gonna have the money. You won’t be able to buy fuck all especially if you fail to qualify!

Stretford Ender – Yeah Agger should have walked last night.

  31. King Eric says:

David Nathaniel – I would rather die mate than see that thug in a United shirt.

  32. North Stand,Tier 3,Back Row says:

Off topic, anyone know the latest on Hargreaves? havent heard him mentioned in the last few weeks, is he anywhere near reserve football yet? Tufty, you seem clued in with the goings on around the club, you got any info for us?

  35. Sayyid says:

That writer is a delusioned muppet. We are so over the hill that when we beat Chelsea, we’ll go top. Plus the fact we have Hargreaves coming back, with Oberton looking very promising, as well as Valencia starting to score. After Sunday, we’d have played every team in the top 5, leaving us with a chance to go on a 10 match winning streak

  36. aig alex is god says:

    King Eric

Hi mate.why do you even read what shit that cunt writes.we all know that his beloved liverpool are on the decline and yet he chooses to criticise United.Atleast nani is better than that fool babel by long long way and how can someone criticise valencia after 12 games.i dont want to get started on berba .All the United fans know what he brings to the team.he is not worth 30 million but it is our fault we had to pay that much for him and what about Voronin? the best striker in the world.not to mention crock Alberto Aquilani and the best defensive midfielder in the world Lucas leiva.why not criticise those fools.they are not even worth buying for free

  37. theboogeyman says:

“Fergie’s over-hyped overthe-hill mob are in urgent need of an overhaul.”
“Van der Sar, because after Tuesday who would want him?”

What the fuck is wrong with this ugly prick?
Fucking cunt supports the dippers, and he calls us overhyped?!?
Calling Berbatov,Nani and Valencia overpriced and a waste of money?

What the fuck is Aquilani then?

  38. SULLY says:

  41. King Eric says:

willierednut – Yeah I had a bath in some bleach mate and then threw my telly away and bought another.

aig – I just came across it pal. Like the way you tell me to ignore it then you go on a little rant about it !

Sayyid – Yeah I can see that happening pal, United going on a long unbeaten run with games like Everton, Villa at home and the likes of Wolves away.

  42. King Eric says:

Sully – Ha ha. Nice one mate.

  43. Sir_Ryan_Giggs_For_PM says:

‘We are satisfied,’ he said. ‘Not every team scores three goals at Old Trafford. At 3-1, of course you need to think about winning, but we have to be realistic. We played one of the best clubs in world football.

‘Moreover, they had the crazy support of 74,000 fans who drove the team forward.

‘How often have I seen United home games where in the last minutes they’re not winning and they practically always score. Unfortunately, this was no different in our match.’

This is Akinfeev after our draw with CSKA….Seems to be making all the right noises eh?

  44. theboogeyman says:

King Eric- That was his point,I guess.
He doesn’t want to rant about it.

  45. Redbeard says:

    That McGovern is a complete twat;

United cash-strapped? We need to sell players in order to buy in? I realise he is an ABU scouse bastard but this is just delusional.

Over-the-hill? Half of our team the other night was under the age of 25, we started with an 18 year-old up front!

Only Georgia has given Russians an easier time? Did we lose?

Carrick, Berbatov and Valencia over priced? Voronin was free, but if you paid his bus fair from the airport he was more overpriced than any of the United players mentioned.

And lastly, If you looked like that, would you put your picture at the top of your articles? The man looks like an allergic reaction!

  46. Corea says:

c- just 1. he goes by the name of wayne rooney. though he’s officially a mancunian in my book with his badge kissing and liverpool hating ways!

My celebrations on liverpool drawing yesterday were cut short today in the morning when I found out Fletcher has been playing with a broken bone and will require surgery. This is a big blow for sunday, we will struggle in midfield without him. Hargo was supposed to be back early november, anyone knows when he’ll start playing?? Plus Rio’s out for 6 weeks, and according to Wes, he may need surgery on his back. Hope Vidic is at the top of his game defensively against chelsea, we can’t afford to concede and make any mistakes.

I just got home in a taxi that was driven by a liverpool fan and my jasus was he talking bollox, Rafa Knows what he’s doing and ” has to settle into his job of running the club from bottom to the top this season like fergie and wenger does” liverpool are fucked if thats true. also he can do it before in europe like the team “he built ” did it in 2005. am i wrong or didnt Liverpool win the Champions League with Houllier’s team. Only two players were Benietez’s’ players and now he’s left with only 2 players who won the champions league , 2 that he didnt sign?
a seasons not over in November and it never has been( ask sunderland) and , THIS IS THE BEST BIT, Theres always the F.A. cup. now I know united had seasons where we only got the fa cup and I remember watching Ronaldo score in the carling cup final and I could elax because it looked like United would win a cup in that season. . . . But never on the 5th of Fuckin noverber was I wanting it. . . Look at where Hull Ended last season who stayed up because Result in the newcastle game went there way. on November the 5th last season Hull fans were talking and hoping that they might finish in a spot for Europe on the inter tototototo or something.
Liverpool are in trouble and aslong as it resembles something that happened before in liverpools history that talk about faith and because They won the european cup 4 years ago somehow they keep acting like there no big problem and everyones over reacting . which is what liverpool fans do when it comes to stevie gbh and rafa himself. . .

What’s more difficult for Gerrard, seeing Owen score for Man Utd or sitting on the sidelines seeing Liverpool being knocked out of the Champions League?

I guess the press should have focused on Alonso’s departure rather than stating that United were nothing without Ronaldo. We’ve qualified in the CL, we’re 2 points from the top in the League and our young lads are doing good in the Carling Cup. I guess life without Ronaldo isn’t as bad as they thought, lol!

    2006 fa cup

what an achievment the scousers have done. yes man utd are defending like drunken idiots and not playing great, but if any idiot says again we miss ronaldo and even saying that average donkey tevez I will go mad. oh yea ronaldo is out for 3 months what a great bit of buisness we done there real madrid have got the cripled CR9

  85. HARGREAVES' CURLY HAIR says:

    @Fze 123
it’s good to know that the support is there but i’m concerned there may be glory hunters who jump on the bandwagon. i guess if the titles dry up sometime in the future they’ll be acting as if they did’nt support the club. people who do this fucking piss me off!
hope fletcher will have a great game at chelski although he’s carrying an injury. goes to show how we’re so lucky to have players not that i’m saying every player of ours should carry INJURIES! United>All football teams and nations

  86. HARGREAVES' CURLY HAIR says:

    there’s only one Keano
the clusterfuck and barca are struggling and yet the media hailed them having the best players in the world. i’ve always thought that la liga is overrated and that they play tactical football. i bet villa or tottenham could give these two a run for their money let’s not even get to us although they played well in Rome,(i still think about that) had we been playing well we would’ve won by hitting them on the classic world renowned counter attacking football by United.
fuck that scouse cunt Mc Govern he talks about our team and yet they’re shit enough losing to the arsewipes RESERVES!!!

  87. red rossa says:

it kills him to see owen in the red of united? of course it does when u play with someone since your ten and one day realise their the ones who made it to a real club :)

  88. berbatunday says:

and we hope u never recover from ur injury either

  89. Fze123 says:

    @ HARGREAVES’ CURLY HAIR

Glory hunters will sadly always be around in football. They don’t even deserve to be called football fans. When ever titles dry up at our club, we emerge back after a few years and traditionally continue where we stopped at: we reclaim the trophies that belong to us, we shouldn’t give two shits whether they went off to support nottingham forest or real madrid. You’er spot on about la liga, most over-hyped and over-rated league in the world, even though they have world class players. How funny would it be if rea/barca didn’t qualify. In spain all they’ve been talking and anticipating about in the summer when real’s galacitos arrived and considering barcas excellent performance in rome, that there’s really going to be a real-barca final at the bernabeu next may, so if they both got knocked out in the group stage I might be laughing unstoppably for years.

  90. HARGREAVES' CURLY HAIR says:

    @Fze 123
yeah mate same here i would laugh until my head would get sore!:-)
i think the dippers are going to the europa league as well as bayern munich. you’re right we find glory hunters everywhere. there’s one i know who unfortunately is a plastic united fan today he praises an arsewipe fan about them playing great football and when the arsewipe fan he gives me piss take about the CSKA Moscow game saying we’re not the same without ronnie and then the plastic united fan agrees with him right in front of me. unbelievable mate.
mate when fergie retires which i dread that day cos it’ll feel like losing a loved one who was very close. which manager would you want although in saying this it is sad but true that fergie is a one off!

So Mr Steve ‘winning nothing’ Gerard wished Michael Owen well but not Utd………
But how come he can be so stupid ? Owen is playing for us now so if Owen do good with us we are going to do well. Elementary Dr Gerard !

  92. DebRed says:

    Haha…Gerrard sounds truly fucked…
Just want to veer off topic, am I the only one who thinks that United is playing really poor football?
I am not referring to CSKA Moscow or even the match against Liverfools’ but the quality of our football over this and last season. How many times we won 1-0 last season, 1 goal from a free kick, and then defending what we had.
Manchester United is known, admired, feared and respected by the type of football we play. As an ardent fan and lover of the game frankly we are not playing good football. Our defence is in shambles, our mid field needs a lot more imagination(when is Hargreaves back?) and the finishing of our strikers (Berba and Owen) leaves a lot to be desired.
I am feeling sick of Berbas deft touch football and Owens countless sure shot goal misses. Many may find this a little crazy considering they both scored recently, but just look at what they could have achieved. If this is our performance against the lesser teams then God Help Us when we face Chelsea, Arsenal, Barca etcetera.
We are relying on Aresenal losing players to the African Cup and Chelsea loosing steam mid season, which shows our poor performance and the lack of confidence we have in our team / players.
How many actually think based on quality of football played by us up till now we deserve to even come anything above 3rd in the EPL.
I was initially surprised that Sir Alex was letting this kind of rot continue, but then reaslised that he does not have a choice. We are playing badly as a team. One of the reasons could be lack of any leadership, I long for a Roy Keane like leader. Some one who could if required tell a Rio to buckle up and stop messing with his carrer for an alternative one, glare at Berba when he heads to the keepers hand and not in the back of the net.
The couple of positives that we have had this season are Fletcher(continuing from last season) and Valencia who has improved tremendously.
Its great to see Liverpool going downhill but it more frustrating to think that we no longer play our attractive brand of football.
We as a team really need to buckle up if we want to get anywhere close to the title this season or even have a chance in Europe.

    @ HARGREAVES’ CURLY HAIR

Glory hunters know fuck all about football. They’re more plastic than katie price. And imagine the dippers, bayern, inter, barca and real madrid possibly going to the europa league. People may watch it instead of the champions league. Oh no maybe they wouldn’t, because they weren’t good enough to qualify for the champions league competition.

Fergie leaving, for me, will feel like someone very close has died. I try not to think about his retirement but one day it’ll happen. I think Cantona managing utd with the assistance of Ole will be wonderful. He hasn’t got any managerial experience but Guardiola didn’t too. Eric’s charecter and aura will intimidate teams and inject fear into their players. Back when Querioz wad around, Fergie gave him a lot of control and freedom on coaching players, and I want the same to be given to Ole. The reserves are playing fantastic football at the moment, thanks to him. Tactically he’s good. They’re both ex-utd players and know the tradition of breeding youth and bringing them into the first team.

  94. Kings says:

King Eric – Hi mate. Yeah I saw that, it was that cunt from the Mirror who made those comments. He’s a fucking scouse bastard.

Man goes into the doctors and says “Doctor I have a problem, evertime I masturbate I sing you’ll never walk alone”

Doctor replies “dont worry sir a lot of wankers sing that”

  96. King Eric says:

DebRed – Whilst I agree United didn’t play their best football last season we still won the league, carling cup, wcc, semi’s of FA cup and another Champions league final so we must be doing summat right. As for this season it was always gonna take time to knit and the signs ARE there. We pummeled Citeh second half and we played superbly at the Lane. I know this isn’t every game but as I say the signs are there. We NEVER get going till the second half but because such a deal was made about those two leaving people are worrying a bit. Once we get into our stride I hope to see the United of old. Hargreaves back in the next few weeks, Obertan looking like a potential star, Rooney more settled, Fletcher becoming a midfield “dynamo”, Ljijac to come in, Berba finding some form, the defence to get back to their rock solid best, Anderson getting back to his form of his first season things will only improve. What does it say about the rest of the league when we are playing poor at times but still just 2 points off the top? Don’t worry about the fucking rentboys pal we will give them a game on Sunday there is no doubt about it. As for Owen it is what strikers do. They may miss 3 or 4 chances but will always bury one. Remember Coley?

  97. King Eric says:

    Kings – Alright mate.

  98. King Eric says:

Fze123 – Rumour has it Ole may join Rosenberg. Doubt it myself.

  99. United Keciko says:

    Now Rafa Thats a FACT!!

  100. r8devil says:

Where I am from ‘You’ll never walk alone’ is mainly sung at funerals. Guess the dippers picked the song cos they were preparing for the end.

Every time I hear that song, I remind my wife to make sure that its not sung at my funeral.

  101. r8devil says:

I’ll be happy if we stay near the top, knowing that we tend to peak later in the season. With Ronaldo leaving us there has been changes to our tactics so It’ll take some time to get used to it. Just trust Fergie to get it right come the end of the season.

  102. Corea says:

In order to beat Barca Villa must do it Rubin’s way ))
When you say it remember Everton against Benfica.

I’d like to wish him all the best in the Europa League this season. Hopefully they go all the way…

To the final, and then lose to another injury time goal.

    Scouse bastard

  105. Fze123 says:

@ King Eric – Load of rubbish. Don’t think he’d want to anyway, he’s enjoying himself managing the reserves and hopefully will be here for a very long time.
