Thing is, Mr KE, it’s how folk who defend senseless behaviour (anyone can find a “moral equivalence” if they look hard enough, often to ludicrous lengths) promote the idea there should be no punishment.
It doesn’t matter how many “examples” anyone can find of past inconsistency with appropriate action in cases “like” this either; that’s not the point.
This isn’t a fucking murder case at the Old Bailey. It’s football, a sport with its own rules. Inconsistency in previous application of them, even if true, is irrelevant.
Adebayor is guilty of transgressing them. That should be the end of any argument. Punishment without doubt to follow.

Well, for those who think Adebayor was entitled to go all-a-headless-chicken because he got a verbal lashing from his former club’s fans, and that his stamp then RAKE down van Persie’s head are excusable too, let’s have free rein for all in future. Everywhere. What fun that’ll be.
Stop making excuses for him. He was bang out of order and if he can’t control himself that’s his fault. No-one else’s.

Haha, suddenly we get so many extra fans from Gooners to wish us well to beat Citeh on the coming derby eh?
Nevertheless I am glad that Adebayor is probably banned from the derby.
Partly because we can do without a top form striker for Citeh, partly I’d rather have one single poor game than having him stamping on the likes of Rooney and leave our team short on the spine of the team…

I hope adebayor starts against united he’s never done anything against us. I think the stamp was worse than the celebrition, if fans give a player abuse for 90 mintues then they ave to expect the player to give some back. Saying all that he shud get a 3 game ban for the stamp.

Stamp one is the worst of all and stamp two gets backed by stamp one. Adebayor is the worst player I have ever seen. Moving to a rival club and hurting old fellow players never happened in the EPL. I don’t think Tevez would the same to Berba or Rooney.

Real Madrid defender Pepe has been banned for 10 matches for his attacks on Getafe’s Javi Casquero and Juan Albin in April, 2009, clash. Ade’s stamp on RvP is the same and he should face the same ban, so Citeh fans can take a break.

As for Arsenal, its the very start of the season and as Chelea’s winning is not that big, City’s win over Arsenal is nothing too. Last year they beat us 4-0 and they finished 10th.

I hope Manchester United beat them well in the weekend.

mind this lads – i found this on the net and can actually anyone confirm this coz i never saw the match :
