Giggs: I’m lucky to have played for Fergie for so long

Manchester United were crowned champions for a 20th time last night after beating Aston Villa 3-0.

Ryan Giggs, who won his 13th league title, claimed that Sir Alex Ferguson is the key to their success.

“His appetite is second to none,” said Giggs. “Every day he’s at the training ground, he’s first there, his enthusiasm is brilliant and that feeds through the club. He is the club. Everything comes from the manager getting players in, getting the right staff in and he’s just an unbelievable manager and an unbelievable person. He deserves everything that he gets because he works hard. I’ve been very lucky to play under him for so long. The way he evolves, never stands still, always looks forward and that shows with the amount of young players that we’ve got in the team; exciting players and players who are going to be here for a long time and carry on that tradition of competing for trophies.”

Irreplaceable them two…No coincidence that their career span has also been the most successful era for the club.

It is a testament to Giggs that he is second in line to the credits and associations for united success after the manager.

All his marital affairs are soon forgotten, people try to shoot him down with this, but at the end football talks, and his achievements on the pitch are all that matters.
