GNev On His First Pre-Season With Class Of ’92

Gary Neville, who has spent the summer with the England squad during their Euro 2012 campaign, has reflected on his first pre-season with the club when he was 20-years-old.

“My first trip to Asia with United was in 1995,” he told the official site. “We went to Malaysia for two weeks and I had a brilliant time. We played in front of big crowds and saw a lot of interesting sights. It was the first tour for quite a lot of us young lads from the class of ’92 and it was brilliant to spend time with the first-team players and coaching staff. I also remember the heat and humidity. I couldn’t understand how it was possible to play football in those conditions. I remember coming back to play in England and thinking, ‘This is easy’. But that’s part of pre-season: if you can run in that heat then it’s going to bring on your fitness an awful lot.”

Although I like the look of Moutinho, I doubt we want him.

We wasn’t linked to him before the Euro’s and the paper talk only began after his team exited the competition. It seems like the papers are just linking us with player x for £xm….ignoring position or debts or the amount we usually or are likely to spend.

Usually I expect United to have a kitty of £50m (includes player sales fees etc)…say we are running on tight purse strings…I expect us to have at least £40m.

I can’t see us spending over £12m for a left back or £20m for a midfielder…maybe it will rise, but the initial fees will not go over what I state. :D

Overhaul of the MF of 2012.

Not since the days of Nani, Anderson, Hargo and the Smith experiment. has SAF foucused so much time and club assets towards the MF. It all started before the league 2 playoffs, the next great young British talent all raped up by SAF and blam he shines at Wem. and then the driving engine that tied MF to goals for the German champions, Japans next big thing fly to meet SAF and he dons a Red Kit.
As the summer rolls on a live reality show unfolds. What will the final 25 man team be for 2012 CL play? In the last 3 years 13 gone 11 with buys and TC and Welbeck and Amos promoted.

There’s money in the tin pot for a big signing. Glazers are cunts, but they’re also shrewd bastards. Can’t afford another CL flop.

Papii with a matrix of info what would the adusted $ be of the last MF spending spree? Or big summers prior. 18, 16 and 18 or some big thing for Hargo, Nani and Anderson. New TV deal going rate type of thing. Now a British premium of some 28.6724% So what was 12 mill is 17 now. Ect

    Powell good business
    Kagawa great business
No Nasri or Hazzard so that cash.
    And all sale recites.
One Rabbit of 22 to 32 mill and another with 1-2 more kids.

I really have to say that losing Fryers and Pogba is a huge loss. I rated both of them and its a shame that we are losing our bright talents from our youth academy. A real shame !

Exactly my point WitchKing. It’s time we stop treating players like commodities and start treating them like HUMAN BEINGS!When a child is born,it is not expected to immediately begin to fend for itself rather it is nurtured and taken care of until maturity.I dont care if u have Attila the Hun as a father u just cant cope with life straight frm the womb on ur own!Kagawa has just bn ‘born’ into the Premiership albeit with immense potential (great genes). That does not foreclose the possibility of him turning out a flop.Yet,by virtue of his pedigree and under the proven effective tutelage of SAF,he should turn out SUPER not far down the line.Quit with the doom and gloom people and just enjoy the game and the privilege of being part of the Utd family for once y’all!
