Ander Herrera and Juan Mata’s contracts are both set to expire this summer but the club are reportedly in talks to extend them.

The latter has been particularly impressive this season and has been linked with a move to Arsenal. This rumour intensified after comments about Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, that Mata made for the manager’s biography. The Spaniard played for Emery at Valencia and has praised the way he communicates with the players.

However, it appears as though both Mata and Herrera are keen to stay on at United with the club negotiating new deals with them.

Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia are also reportedly in talks to extend their current deals by a further year too.
