Manchester United have won the past seven games in a row and have gone over two months without defeat. We are dominating possession and chances, playing exciting football, and Ander Herrera has talked about how this is us going back to our roots.

We are playing well and we are controlling most of the games. When you watch Manchester United now you realise quickly who is the big team and that means we are finding our identity, the DNA of this club and its history.

The most important thing in my opinion is we are not conceding too many chances and we are behaving like a big team. Of course we have to improve and be more clinical because we are creating a lot more chances than we are scoring but we can be happy and we can even more optimistic for the next few months and the next year because I think we are doing the right things and working in the right way.

We all know [which direction the manager wants the team to go in]. Since I have been at this club I have won two trophies, the FA Cup and Community Shield, but we don’t want to stop. Now we are in four competitions and we have the obligation to fight for everything.

We are Man United and we have to respect our history and fight for everything and we have the conditions to do it because we have a very good squad. I always say I am very happy and proud to be part of this team and hopefully I can keep being an important player.
