^^^Yes, but we needed someone who was less of a risk, no one knew how Campbell or Manucho would turn out, but Berbatov already had Premiership experience which means he was less likely to fail than Campbell or Manucho

Tevez came to united thinking that he is going to get first team football, but since we bought berbatov he has been getting dropped, thats why i think we should’nt of bought berbatov and plus we can play campbell then and manucho

It is just silly that we have Manucho, Welbeck, and Campbell, all just waiting for their time. Rooney is 23 and Tevez is 24, just when are these guys going to be moving on? I actually wish we had not gotten Berbatov so we could keep starting Tevez with Rooney and rotating those three as the other striker when one needs a rest.

Great strikers like Berbatov SteRDLK? Come on mate he’s only played 10 or 11 games and sometimes it’s like playing with 10 men he’s that anonymous. Undoubted skill but not convinced he’s a £32M man myself, he’s got a lot to prove! I agree with Cole, Yorke & Sheringham though, proven Red legends!

yep,this kid’s got a good future at united.as well as the rest of the current reserve squad with the likes of the da Silva twins,possebon,and welbeck.they all need to be given chances and i’m sure when they take them,they will all succeed.by that time,united wont need to buy any 30 million pounds players (a la Berbatov – sigh).

my fear with campbell and any player coming through our ranks now is that they face so much competition to break into the first team (and most of the players we have in our first team are in the top 50 players in the world), i mean look at pique a very very good young and up coming defender but he didnt get a look in. same goes for rossi. also with the “hipe” around welbeck it will most likely be a case of one of the two that will get their chance at united and from what i’ve seen of welbeck he does look the real deal.

but it would be good to see campbell play more for tottenham, i think the guy has real talent and it would be great if he comes back to us with a year of PS football under his belt

I hope he stays coz he is a real talent, and local as well.

He will be better than great United strikers like Berbatov, Cole, Yorke, Sheringham IF given the chance.
