We could go for Hamsik too, I'm surprised he's not even being mentioned. Hamsik and Sanchez could be huge in the future, IMHO. If we spend some money on them (and maybe Valencia), we could come hard after Benzema and Ribery. That would be strong position.

Wasn't Fergie given 100 million, plus Ronaldo's money for the market?b I think I read it at goal.com...

I think his beef with SAF,and he mentioned it at least in 2 interviews, was that he wasn't getting the starts he deserved.And he specifically mentioned the Sunderland game which he didn't start even though he scored 4 in the previous game.There were digs at SAF.A month ago, Maradona made a mention about Tevez complaining to him about the "old man" having it out for him.That was never confirmed nor was it denied either.
Of course it is a team game.I just mentioned players who i think have played a larger role than Tevez.And as you corrected me, there are some others too.Tevez has played a part,but i don't think his departure would hurt the team's title chances that much.Especially if we got another prolific striker help out now that Ronaldo is gone.Since you asked,i would say that Tev and Berb bring different things to the club and in an ideal world,i would like both to stay.But you know what?Maybe i would prefer Tevez.
I didn't want to feel the way i do about Tevez,but his actions in the last month have really disappointed me.I understand him being insecure about his future.That's never nice.But he could have made these noises after the title was clinched.And i don't like professional footballers who get payed what he does to talk about horrible and terrible treatment.He comes from a country going though rough times,so he should know what bad treatment is really about.And the other puzzling thing is that we made the offer he wanted yet he doesn't look like commiting to us.That's where i question if all this has been about the lack of respect he feels or that he will have a better contract at City.
I am saying that he wil leave based on what i read from the news sites.Last week a source of his said that Fergie's phonecall didn't have much success.That does hint where things are going.I hope i am wrong.If he stays and gives his all(which he undoubtedly will),then it's up to fans like me to put our foot in our mouth and put the team above anything else.

costas your jumpin the gun mate, tev aint a city player or anyother clubs player yet. your questions, did tev target saf personnally for not playing him? i don't think so, every good pro wants to play as many games as they can. i can't recall him slaggin saf off for not playing him all the time and i remember him scoring and lookin to the directors box and holding his ears which tells me his protest was aimed at somebody'S else. the booing of saf was probably hoping that he could pull the strings to get tev on board, if that would ov happened then it'd be happy days and tev is a hero still. at utd there is a strong rotation policy which bloods the future of the club and rightly so, that's why utd have continuing success but i didn't see tev knocking or calling anyother players around him hoping to further his place in a competative squad, i think he accepted it but he wanted to know where his future lied. i don't want to back you into a corner but who would you have tev or berb? you point to the fact that rio, carrick and vid have played over the past few years but its more than them (vander, shea, fletch....how many more? there is no I in team (ta da ronny) it just baffles me that everybody wants tev to sign but when its not lookin likely its fook off tev! what will you do if he has a change of heart, you'd look a right jessie. don't take offence pal but i think rejection on both sides is playin a part here, utd want him and tev wants to stay but HE and saf don't decide the outcome unfortunately. tell me this and tell me no more costas, dippers have been sniffin round tuncay from boro, tuncay in a utd shirt would get about 15 goals a season no danger, he'd be about 10 mill at tops (not even city would bid more!) then next season benzema from lyon when they'll sell him.

@reddy brek man:

I do remember the "Rio sign the deal" chant at the time, but there could have been more.I wasn't condining the attitude of the fans then.At the same time i can't condone people booing Sir Alex in favor of Tevez.It's disgraceful.And as you said,Ferguson isn't the reason all of this happened.The money aren't coming from his pockets.If it did,he would have probably wanted to keep Tevez.So here's my question:why did Tevez target Sir Alex?Because he didn't play him regulary?That's what happens at United.Your place in the starting line up is never certain.In the eyes of some,he was better than Berbatov.In the eyes of others,he wasn't.United have not been professional with their treatment of him but he hasn't done himself justice either.As far as next season is concerned,we will have to wait and see.We always talk about attacking players,but we can't discount what part Rio,Vida and Carrick have played in the last 3 years.And thank god they will be here next season.Lets see how Tevez does at City now.

costas, listen pal you know the script with rio, he had utd up against a wall and the utd were not happy about it (there's only 1 greedy bastard was the chant) sometimes silence can be deafenning. tev wanted his contract sorting or be told that he could find another club. utd tried pullin joorabooa's pants down by offering about 15 million only when it looked like city and the dippers were sniffin round him. i don't for 1 minute blame saf for what is happening i think its more to do with the money men hoping that they'd get him on the cheap, trouble is its backfired, now according to reports it looks like utd's loss is somebody elses gain. if he gose to city then its a step backwards in the respect that they aint playing european footy but the flip side of the coin is that he'll get more games (and money$$) tevez was probably one of the reasons why utd have had success whilst he has been at utd (1 man dose not make a team) and his work rate and attitude to the game is on a par to rooney, they love to play and rightly so. i think that the way he's been cold shouldered was disrespectfull and showed a lack of professionalissame by the club and i think they won't make another mistake like it again. i personnally wouldn't call tev because he gave his all for the cause, to have what seems to be a hate campaigne against tev is shocking to say the least. everyone has a right to voice their opinion but if utd fail to hold on to the prem next season then it won't be down to ronny nobbin off to madrid but probably down to not havin a mad man charging all over the pitch! i'm not fallin out with anyone but in the cold light of day its been a bad move by utd. off for a pint now my fingers are killin!!!

@reddy brek man:

There is a difference. Rio never manipulated his relationship with the fans to get what he wanted. Rio didn't make a title deciding game with Arsenal his own farewell party. Rio didn't constantly talk against the manager in the media. And Rio always was quick to allay fears about him leaving. Players have every right to hold out for the best deal possible. They don't have the right to think that they are bigger than the team and make their issue bigger than the capture of a record 18th League title. That's why Tevez turned out to be a bullshiter and that's why many United fans won't shed a tear to see the back of him.

further to the respect debate, why do you cheer that greedy cun1 rio after he was going to walk unless you gave in to his wage demand of £120 grand a week. fickle just fickle! suppose you'll be booing eagles when he turns out for burnley against utd eh!!

wakey, it sounds like sour grapes to me. if tev stays at utd you would be happy and anybody who slagged him off would cop an earfull off you. its the fact he's moving on that utd fans are not best pleased about. such abuse aimed at tevez is uncalled for, and i'd say that 99% of the people who actually go to old trafford would say the same. whether he gose to city or chelsea means absolutely nothing to me, or even if he wants to go back to boca with his pockets busting at the seames! now come clean you want him to stay, so less of the fuck off tevez campaign its just bitchy-ness.

"So and so is too expensive"

"So and so wants to play in Spain"

"His club won't sell"

"Why don't we accept our new status as nobodies and see if players from Wigan, Hull and Wolves are prepared to take a step down, albeit only if we pay their clubs 3x what they're worth ?"
