Jones: I’ll play any position for United

Phil Jones has confirmed that, despite being used in a number of positions during his United career so far, he is happy to play wherever the manager decides for now.

“As long as I am in the team it doesn’t matter whether I am in goal,” Jones said. “Of course, towards the middle and end of my career I will want to start cementing a place in a certain position but at the moment I am happy. I have said from day one I see myself as a centre-back. But if I am asked to play in midfield or at right-back I am happy to do so.”

  1. Mitch Kramer says:

    best attitude of any young player on the team along with chicharito

  2. Bobby Charlton's Combover says:

    @Mitch….agreed…best overall attitude…Giggsy.

  3. denton davey says:

    Like TheWayneBoy, MrJones is a “baller” – same as Duncan Edwards. These are guys who could play anywhere and do well. (Maybe they’d be better at one position BUT there’s no “I” in T-E-A-M)
