Whilst there were several surprises about Sir Alex Ferguson’s team selection this weekend, one of the bigger ones was the positioning of Phil Jones.
Last week, RoM was amongst several reds calling for Jones to play in the centre of midfield, but I don’t think anyone expected his first opportunity to come at Anfield.
Jones has revealed that he was surprised as anyone but is happy to play wherever the manager asks him to.
“Yes, it was a surprise,” said Jones. “But, if the gaffer says I’m playing there, there’s no arguments. I’m happy to be playing. It’s hard as I’ve not played there in a while. The last time I played there, was for Blackburn quite a while ago but I had to adapt and I think it was about breaking the play up and making it difficult for Liverpool to play in there because it was quite congested.”

Lovely attitude. Plus playing in different positions will give you much needed versatility and will make you a much better player but i’d rather have you at the back.

I honestly don’t think he is a natural central midfield player, that diving twat adam was striding past him easily, his positioning wasn’t great but that’s due to not having enough experience playing in that position.
Perhaps he can do a job as a defensive midfielder occasionally but he is first and foremost a centre half and a quality one at that.

According to the Guardian Liverpool are calling for Evra to be disciplined if the allegations are found to be groundless.
I think it is fairly scadalous to be making such remarks when a serious allegation has been made.
My Pal told me on Facebook, he saw the GIF of Paddy & Suarez & he believed that Suarez said the word “Nigger” at least 7-10 times. My friend is black and uses the word often and instantly recognised the way Suarez’s mouth was moving and the reaction of both players. So I asked another guy to analyse the GIF, that person after watching the GIF for the 2nd time came to the conclusion that the only word possible of coming out of Luis Suarez’s mouth with barely moving his lips and the tongue only hitting the roof of the mouth, is indeed the racist term i mentioned earlier.

@ Clint – what is GIF? CitShit do look really strong. Da Silva and Mata are two Spanish players who are just class. Mata is doing the business of Chelsea big time. A player like that would be a useful addition though Cleverly could be that, we need one more I think while the youth team bed in. I think we will have a very difficult game against Shitpies. They are much stronger than Liverpool, they have played together more since CS and I think we will have to be at our very best to beat them, especially if Da Silva, Dzeko and Augero line up in attack.
Aftre dropping 2 pts at Pool and the horrendous ugliness of seeing the Shits go above us in the table and orgy all over Manchesters blue bit, I am less comfortable about this game and more nervous. I would rather have played Rooney, Nani from the outset and taken 3 pts from Pool which we could have got with a stronger attach, as opposed to saving them for Shitpies.
