Keane: I Was Privileged To Play Alongside Giggs

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has sung the praises of Ryan Giggs.

“Ryan is streetwise and very clever. It’s a credit that he’s pulling the strings at United at the age of 36,” said Keane. “Ryan is so professional. He’s always on time for training and has a terrific attitude. I look back on my playing career and the pluses are not necessarily the medals, but the people you meet. I was privileged to be involved for so long with someone like Giggsy.”

    @Costas

    Very true. The wording of that paragraph makes it strange that Keane actually said it. I guess in the end he’s just a little sweetheart.

    getting praise from Keano is worth its weight in gold (i know it weights nothing but its a metaphor..)

    hopefully we’ll see sir ryan giggs of utd for a while yet, altho i have a sneaky suspicion that he’ll quit when fergie does despite what he said today

  12. Coogie says:

    Is it too much to say that when both were in their prime they were the two best midfielders/wingers in the world?

  13. BlackBabyJesus says:

    I see Keane is still on about timekeeping. ;)

  14. Fze123 says:

    There is no one who was or is a utd player who weren’t privileged to play alongside Giggs. Although Keano saying this is not typical of him.
