Following Manchester United’s 3-2 win over rivals Manchester City, delaying their title celebrations, the reds were keen to rub it in their faces.

At 2-0 up, City fans started singing “stand up for the champions”, just before Paul Pogba banged in two goals. City had installed fireworks around the roof of the stadium that had to be packed away following their defeat.

In the dressing room after the game, getting pay back for the way City players behaved after winning at Old Trafford, United players made sure their celebrations were heard.

United players then learnt that City had booked tables at Wings in town to celebrate their title win. “Booked tables have you? We’ll take your fucking tables!” was one of the remarks made by a United player.

Reports claim that Jesse Lingard, who has been at the club since he was seven, was the most vocal in dishing out the abuse.
