pretty poor movement in the final 3rd so far, especially in the box. owen typically is getting in the right spaces, but everyone else is being too greedy, or standing around waiting for the ball to come to them.

obertan looks decent thus far, and what great pace he has. hope he sees more of the ball in the 2nd half. he’s getting fouled right before he tries to skip by his markers. like to see him go at defenders more so we can see some of his tricks.

Does anyone else think Wes is worried about picking up more injuries? there has been a few occasions when the Wes of a couple of years ago would have gone in for a hard tackle but he seems to be a bit tentative today.

Obertan is very reminiscent of Djibril Cisse – long legs, very fast, and runs like a stallion. Let’s hope that he’s a better footballer – and a better person !
Foster’s save was terrific but he still didn’t impress with regard to the issues that have been identified – commanding the area,communicating with his defenders, and distributing the ball.
I also thought that Macheda did nought – squat. Does this kid have a case of “big league head” ?
