    Rooney have been our lone striker 90% of the time we play 4-5-1.

    I think it’s either 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, but 4-4-2 is more likely with Ando on the left just behind Rooney.

It’s an insanely mushy pitch down the flanks, very difficult to move fast or control the ball. This would have been a hard game if we played well, but we’re looking awful, we’re two goals down and to win this we’d need to be both brilliant and lucky, while needing Blackpool to implode.

     @Costas, The lads performance was shit in the first half but the formation did them no good either. 4-3-3 will never suit us without Carrick playing the holding role and this was one more example of that. SAF switched it around in the late stages of first and from then on, I feel we started to get better as the 4-4-2 kicked in. And when Giggs and Chicarito came on, it only helped the system and we ran over them as the game went on.
