  5. Rai says:

    Well at least it won’t be a boring game now…

  6. hurr says:

    Ah, the ol’ the board leader dropped points, so now we’re gonna do it too…Never changed eh, United?

  7. aimanunited says:

    what the fuck is our defense doing? evans is very very sloppy, almost concede another stupid goal…

  8. RedLife says:

    Too many average players like Evans and O’shea in the team. They are good squad members, but we’re becoming inconsistent. Why do we still rely so heavily on Giggs and Scholes??? Another problem.

  9. MG says:

    I was going to say what the fuck is going on with United

    : )

    Well done Nani

    Come on United finish this fucking game off

  10. Chicharito14 says:

    Nani=ronaldo

  11. realred says:

    what a fuckin goal young man.
    well done
    evans is piss poor tho

  12. MG says:

    Fucking hell Defense

    6 games gone and still no lessons learnt – what are they on some sort of fucking get high quick drugs fuck me

  13. kel says:

    Nani!!! Yeah!!!

  14. RedArmy_7 says:

    EVENS IS A FUCKING JOKE!! thats all im gonna say

  15. MG says:

    Just seen Gary and Phils dad in the stands : )

  16. Rai says:

    Yeah Evans is a fuckin disgrace, we should sign Bramble now that’s a proper defender…

  17. Chicharito14 says:

    Evans is shit! Sign craddock.please fergie

  18. Rai says:

    What loyal fans we have……

  19. MG says:

    Sack Evans

    Sign Bruce

    : )

  20. Jam_1991 says:

    Rooney is a passenger at the minute.. not his normal self.. CUMON WAZZA!!!!!

  21. Always Be Closing says:

    Fuck Evans, sign Carragher.

  22. jespermoses says:

    why is the top teir of the United end empty,we usually sell that bit out.Is it something to do with reduced allocation due to constant standing???

  23. Always Be Closing says:

    Yep, got it in one. We’re all standing up again so they keep reducing the allocation leaving empty seats. Their loss.

  24. Costas says:

    Evans is at fault for HALF of that goal. The other half, Pat Evra can take credit for. You expect to lose headers at corners, but at least the defender hugging the post should stay there.

    Anyway, I thought that Evans did well after that goal. We might need something special to get a 2nd though…

  25. keano says:

    Defense shaky as has been the last few games, but the one who need his shit sorted is Rooney. So fucking terrible i am hoping he will be substituted.

  26. Always Be Closing says:

    @keano – what are you on? What has Berbatov done that’s been so great this half? Rooney at least set Nani up for the goal and has had some close changes.

  27. Kevin says:

    I don’t think Rooney is playing to poorly but he clearly isn’t at his best. If he doesn’t pick it up by minute 70 I wouldn’t mind seeing Owen who is raring to go and prove a point. Evans has picked it up since the goal and has, up till one of the final plays, had Elmander in his pocket. He isn’t the best in the air but we know this and he is getting beat when the ball is played up in the air. He is our best option at this point and he has loads of potential. He isn’t a finished product so why don’t we show some level of intelligence when deciding to bash one player because he got caught out once.

  28. Always Be Closing says:

    *chances

  29. keano says:

    @Always Be Closing = Rooney has been poor all season. Maybe if he ll get off he ll sort himself out

  30. Costas says:

    I don’t think Rooney or Berba have been too bad. It’s the final ball that’s not working out at the moment. We should create more openings if we keep on playing like that. Berbatov has been drifting to the wings quite often. Something tells me that Rooney will get the 2nd.

  31. KVN says:

    fundamental issues SAF has to address: replacimng Giggs and Scholes.
    Right back
    Is Evans the ideal partner for Vidic at centre back?

    For me it would be at RB – Rafael
    Centre half – Rio for this season, bringing on Evans and Smalling. Seems Smalling has the hight, strenght
    and technique. He’s learning, but Evans has the more experience, especially in big games. what ‘s happening at the moment with Evans is that he’s being targeted by prem players and managers as the weak link. Johnny needs to beef up, man up and show that he’s not intimidated.

    Who could replace Scholes? that’s a hard job. potentials are: Gibson, Anderson and Magnus Eirkem.
    Giggs? Adam Johnson would have been ideal, but maybe Obertan and Bebe (long term though) could do
    a job.
    if SAF were allowed to spend big. then Sneijder, Canales (of RM), Hatem ben Afra, Suarez (of Ajax).

    today is a very important game and United need to step up and win it.

  32. Costas says:

    Bottom line, we have to start getting more serious in our defending. We have to stop conceding soft goals. That’s the 2nd time this year we’ve conceded a goal from a corner because a defender wasn’t near the post. And Evra made the same mistake after they scored. You have to know that even if we get a 2 goal lead, they will fancy their chances

  33. user404 says:

    guys quit riding evans and oshea so hard. they may not be world class, but they give it their all for United. sheasy has scored some damn important goals for us.

    for the 2nd half- COMEONS!

  34. Costas says:

    And by defending, I mean the defensive midfield too. Again, our opponents are finding it too easy to go through our center…

  35. buytheclub2012 says:

    are u watching the game?to be fair, johnny are not too bad ,that goal for bolton just a little bit lucky.

  36. manutdthebest says:

    @Costas

    yes, why our central midfielder never get the ball when it lose! Evans needs more stronger approach to clear the bar in the air..

  37. TonyBee says:

    where the fuck was our right back ffs

  38. aimanunited says:

    it’s too easy too break united defensive line, any team can do it at the moment…
    this is our chance to cut the points difference but I just don’t see it happens… FUCK!

  39. Kevin says:

    O’Shea tucked in on Elmander who found a wide open Petrov and Park over committed. Bad goal to give away especially off the counter. We defended the entire counter attack in the wrong way. Petrov had five united players around and found a way to play a magnificent cross field ball because all five backed off Petrov and allowed Nani to attempt to chase him down from behind. Then we continued to back up and Elamander used his power, again, to back us down. O’Shea tracked Elamander but didn’t ever get close or challenge the pass into him. And the rest is history. Bad defending after bad defending

  40. Tk says:

    fuck that.

  41. Jam_1991 says:

    I DONT CARE WHAT ANY OF YOU SO-CALLED LOYAL FANS SAY.. I’VE SEEN ENOUGH THIS SEASON TO SUGGEST THAT UNITED WILL NOT BE WINNING THE PREMIERLEAGUE TITLE THIS YEAR..

    LORD KNOWS I HOPE IM WRONG, BUT YOUR CLEARLY DELLUSIONAL IF YOU THINK THAT THIS IS TITLE WINNING FORM AT THE MINUTE..

  42. faster says:

    We need new tactical coach

  43. Jam_1991 says:

    OWEN LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  44. curtis says:

    Why are we so determined to fuck fuck shit up ? I mean our opponents are not gonna fuck up every week..
    And why is it there-s only a tempo and hurry in our game when we fuckin losing.. As i write this we score now we have to keep fuckin attackin cause we got 4 attackers on

  45. Kevin says:

    September 26, 2010 at 12:51
    Kevin says:

    …I wouldn’t mind seeing Owen who is raring to go and prove a point.

    We are still in this one, we have mad it difficult but it wouldn’t be United if we hadn’t.

  46. jespermoses says:

    saf has got to start playing Micky…he keeps banging them in!!!! YES!

  47. Gee says:

    Fucking typical of Utd over the last year!! rivals all fuck up and gift us our ticket to catch them up and Utd rightfully fuck it up!! If they dont win this today (and I know Boltron away can be dodgy) it is a fucking disgrace!! fucking Fulham, Everton, Rangers and Bolton!! FUCKING JOKE!! We should dick these teams in our fucking sleep!!

    Get your fucking heads out your arse’s and put these fucking minows to bed for fuck sake!!!!

  48. aimanunited says:

    what the hell evans? if elmander scored that, the match is over….
    thanks owen, I really want him to start because rooney atm is worse than lower team strikers…

  49. Gee says:

    NOW LETS FUCKING STEP IT UP AGAIN!!

  50. curtis says:

    C’mon united for fuck sakes we beginning to look like arsenal getting bullied every weekend

  51. samuel - united WE stand says:

    That back line is fucking diabolical, are we going to go through this every week?

  52. dela says:

    What is with this tactic of hitting corner kicks to O’Shea at the near post? Whatever it is, it simply isn’t working.

    We have 3-4 players who are brilliant in the air- why isn’t Nani just sticking to the age-old cross into the box?

  53. dela says:

    @samuel
    Couldn’t agree more. Another scare. Elmander thankfully fucks up yet again.

    When did our defence become this terrible?

  54. PasseMouraille says:

    HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF!!!!!!!!!

  55. aimanunited says:

    Sir Alex, I admire your decision to stick with this defense but let’s change it next game please….

  56. united4ever says:

    Park is craaaaaap as usual

  57. Mickjk says:

    How can we win the league if we can’t captialise on our opponents misfortune. Another unsurprisingly sub par performance.

  58. jespermoses says:

    Nanis delivery today was fucking woeful!!!!

  59. manutdthebest says:

    disgrace.! evans.. o’shea… poor very poor

  60. The Fly says:

    Fucking Nani, cross it properly

  61. TheRadLegion says:

    @united4ever:
    And your comment is the same too as usual

  62. dela says:

    I can’t believe I’m actually relieved that we got away with a point. What is with our away form this season?

  63. Kevin says:

    I can see more criticism for O’Shea who got caught out and brought nothing to the table going forward. We deserved a draw nothing more. We got what we earned and credit to Bolton. They harrased and made it difficult, they probably earned a draw but we should have been a lot better out there today. Fergie looked angry the entire second half and I think a big hair dryer is in store.

  64. TheRadLegion says:

    @manutdthebest
    I agree.. their performance have been poor. Wasted the ball way too often, glad we did not concede the 3rd goal due to Evans poor judgement.

    It could have been worse.

  65. manutdthebest says:

    why park.. he is smaller in the midfield .. scholes can’t move a lone! since giggs out the whole left wing is gone!

    when we need physical appearance in the middle without movement .. there is nothing today

  66. united4ever says:

    Agree. Defensively, we are becoming increasingly frail. We will never be champions if we continue playing like that. Alex needs to make some real changes at the club!

  67. The Shankill Skinhead says:

    Defending like mugs again, no team ever won the league shipping goals every week. Fucking annoying performance away yet again.

  68. DEVILisRED says:

    we fuck it up again. supposingly super footballing weekend comes to a disapointing end.

  69. Costas says:

    We’ve learned fuck all from last season. Some people were saying that the 2 points at Goodison and Cravem Cottage were +2 compared to 09-10. Well, we threw that down the drain today.

    SORT THE DEFENCE OUT!

  70. Gary says:

    I can’t believe people are having a pop at Nani. He was by far the biggest threat we had in this match. He’s eratic, accept it. I all so remember putting in some cracking crosses. Scored one made one but lets have a pop at him for the crosses that weren’t so great hey!

  71. samuel - united WE stand says:

    I’ve said it time and time again that o’shea isn’t good enough to be starting at united, him and evans are a calamity to the defence, leaking goals like a mud house, teams now see us as very vulnerable away from home so get ready to see more of this rubbish.

  72. united4ever says:

    @TheRadLegion

    Yes, and it’s always going to be the same. With all due respect, Park is an average player.

  73. Always Be Closing says:

    Our big matches need G.Nev, Vida, Ferd and Evra, absolutely have to have it that way or we’re going to suffer.

    Glad to see the three strikers again, just frustration again due to iffy delivery. Can’t fault Nani for an assist and a goal, but obviously it’d be great to see more than that as he’s now our main supplier.

  74. curtis says:

    I knew we’d fuck this opportunity up somehow so i’m kinda not too disappointed just angry i’m right:(
    But what is this crap of gifting the team 2 goals every weekend?
    We’ve become generous and quite frankly we have to start being scared
    Beginning to look like arsenal get bullied every weekend

  75. Always Be Closing says:

    @united4ever – obviously he isn’t, or he wouldn’t be playing for us.

  76. manutdthebest says:

    last year more than 2 times to over take 1st spot but we failed and we lost the title..

    I do not want to see that happen again this year!

    Sort the defence out.. sort the central holding midfielder.. today every single time Boltan clear the ball they have it back straight away..

    why the fuck is that???

  77. Red Typhoon says:

    Real Fuck All’s!! Seriously lazy fuckers!! Only when we are down do they fuckin’ play with a bit of zest. I fucking hate it when we were taking it so fucking easy. Why can’t they fucking put the opponents under pressure from the start instead of taking it so easy and relaxed and not even bothered to have any urgency until we are down and 15 minutes remaining. So fucking diabolical!! Evans is fucking diabolical!!

  78. Xyth says:

    We are not fit to win the league this season.

    Nani despite scoring the goal, cost us the match with his pathetic delivery and decision making. We have no creativity upfront at all.Our defense is shambles, when teams like Fulham, Everton and Bolton are scoring at will against us.

    Also Rooney, Evra and Fletcher are the shadow of themselves. I don’t know why OShea is starting every match?

    Perhaps we should sign Sneijder if we can.

  79. Costas says:

    Nani did ok, apart from a couple of bad crosses. He was still behind both goals. It’s everyone else that underperformed today.

  80. TheRadLegion says:

    Yeah, I’m not impressed with OShea and Evans (AT ALL).

    But most amazingly.. from 80 to 87 min, we were pretty much wasting the time. Unnecessary fouls, giving them some free kicks, wasting the ball.

  81. aimanunited says:

    to be honest we’re lucky to escape with a point. we’re lucky that elmander wasted so many chances, well onto the next match, I’m sure most of united fans were agree with a change in defensive line. another thing is, we should give an in form striker like owen a chance, we all know how important rooney is but he already get so many chance and his performance is below decent… This is just my opinion because I am the type of person who believes that anybody deserve a chance and those who play crappy football should sit on the bench…

  82. Gary says:

    @Xyth

    “Nani cost us the match” you’re a bloody retard.

  83. MG says:

    I would like to thank Owen for saving the day

    But seriously we have a problem in away games and this is the third game running from home where we have been out of sorts defensively which means there is a problem and we need to sort it out (Ok even at home we took the piss against Liverpool)

    This match could be filed under point saved – we were fucking lucky again that the offensive side of our team is saving the defensive side of our team

    But it’s a disgrace more than being upset that we have lost two points I am absolutely fucking angry to see such defensive mistakes over and over again

    Its smacks of complete arrogance on the teams behalf where they will not heed to learn any lessons prior to the next game

    They better be up for it against Valencia away – seriously because next week it doesn’t get any better with Sunderland away either

    Buckle up United you are making fools out of yourselves us and more importantly disrespecting the gaffer

  84. Mickjk says:

    Useless. I’m as loyal as they come. I don’t panic with dodgy results but this is just woeful. We bought players we aren’t using, we’re lacking someone creative in the midfield. Rooney is playing dung yet still gets a start ahead of a guy who seems to score every time he plays. On to of that we have everyone we play not scoring just once but twice. We aren’t looking anywhere near a team who’s gonna win the championship. Only positive is I think we’re the only team unbeaten and we have a good run of games where normally we’ll pick up 3 points. The penny needs to drop with this team though and it needs to drop fast. We’ve let them Chelsea rent boys off with one today aswell as let city get closer to us. Pure shit for a team like this.

  85. Always Be Closing says:

    @Xyth – I’m guessing because Nev is injured and impressing in training, I don’t see it myself though.

    Evra has been consistent as ever for me, Rooney trying but it’s not coming off yet.

  86. Costas says:

    Sir Alex wasn’t having his best day out there either. Fletch wasn’t having a good game, but why take him off and leave Scholes and Park in midfield?

  87. Uniteddforlife says:

    I’m not only saying this because we just suffered another setback but O’she’s shite and he can’t be starting games for united anymore. and unlucky fletch, played his part in another goal conceded.

  88. samuel - united WE stand says:

    People criticise michael carrick but they don’t see the invaluable contribution he puts in the defence, we look fragile and lost at defence, seems like a one man defence at times with vidic while o’shea and evans are passengers, really terrible.

    Rooney useless yet again, another player on that form would be dropped.

  89. Chicharito14 says:

    This defence is terrible.8 goals conceded in 6 games is no laughing matter.rio should return as soon as possible.evra! how on earth does he allow a goal between him and the post.you can say all you want but any team that cant win games away doenst deserve to win the league, so they better shape up before its too late.

  90. Costas says:

    @MG

    Indeed mate. Thanks to Owen.

  91. TheRadLegion says:

    @United4ever:
    Even if he was an average player.. average isn’t equal to crap.

  92. Red Typhoon says:

    Do they fucking think they have the divine right to win every game? is that why they are playing without any urgency and hoping that someone just pops up and scores? Talk so much before a game and this is how they perform…i am fucking livid!!

  93. dela says:

    It’s hard to believe that more than half this defence is the same as the one that went 14 games without conceding. Right now, we can’t seem to keep a clean sheet for 14 minutes.

    Frustrating.

  94. ahjs says:

    Last season was the weakest United effort in the Premier League era. What saved them was Rooney. Take him out and (though we’re seeing more from Nani, Berbatov and Scholes this season) it’s showing the cracks. This generation can’t survive losing Ronaldo and Rooney.

    But we’ve got Bebe when we could have got Van Der Vaart. Carrick and Anderson can come in, and they were more enxpensive than Sneijder. So it’s not all bad, eh?

  95. Gaffer says:

    Nani gets his plaudits, ok. But his passing is generally dreadfull. Of his 10 corner kicks, none of them were even near to be dangerous.

  96. Costas says:

    @samuel – united WE stand

    Spot on about Carrick. The midfield has lost is balance without him.

  97. manutdthebest says:

    too many average players.. in my opinion no more Evans, Oshea, Park,

    Bring someone who can attack from left, 3 center midfielder for Scholes to have more space to move..

    I am totally gutted! Since yesterday, knowing those two idiots teams dropping points, I can not even wait to see us wining today.. very big let down.. I’m so pissed!!

  98. MG says:

    Who would have the thought United defensively would be the problem six games in. Unbelievable Berba comes up to scratch goals are being scored and we have forgotten to defend

    Fucking hell

  99. rsmu says:

    with such motivation is nothing to win for ManUtd this season….. Shit….. why Rio on a bench?
    11 goals in 7 games(((((((( what is going on with defence?
    Again we giving the title to Chelski by our selves….
    WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!

  100. Che Guevarist says:

    With Rooney in such a bad form, I hope Fergie gives more playing time to Owen, he can definitely do something

  101. UnitedYankee says:

    Maybe it’s just me, but this is the second time Sir Alex has subbed in Park when United was playing well and it went downhill. Last time they were up at Everton I think. He runs a lot but doesn’t do anything, and totally overcommitted on the goal. Just can’t help thinking for another million pounds VanderVaart would be nicer to have than Bebe.

  102. Dakota says:

    Nani’s corner taking ability is fucking nil..everytime to the man at the near post will not work..O’shea tried to flick it on a hundred times but people like Berba and Vida are waiting in the middle and are not made use of..very very disappointing in the end..thank heavens for Owen..Macheda didnt do shit except set up berba with a decent back heal..should of taken the oppurtunity to trail chelski by one..

  103. Gary says:

    Look at the end of the day it is two points dropped and obvious defensive issues. But Bolton away was never going to be a stroll in the park. Owen Coyle has them organised and difficult to play against. It’s not a disaster it could be one point gained come the end of the season so enough of the bloody doom and gloom for fuck sake.

  104. KVN says:

    positive: we didn’t loose. 3 points behind chelsea and knowing they play Arsenal next week means
    we could be level. or 1 point behnd or even 6 points behind. i’m hoping united will be at least level or a point
    behind.
    but between now and next week, SAF needs to address the defence. is Rio fit? if so, play him. Evans
    i think will become a good player, and the only way he can become a good CB is by playing in these types of games. this is the first season i think where Evans is considered an automatic first choice CB. as SAF can no longer depend upon the fitness of Rio. Evans is learning and still developing, fans love to get on players backs when they play poorly or make a mistake. Especially the young players. give these guys a break.
    i see this as a point gained, the other two away fixtures Everton and Fulham were points lost.

    and remember we’re still undefeated, so let’s not go over the top. yes i hope and expect United to win EVERY GAME, but football is not like that. we have to accept sometimes, we’ll loose or even draw when we should have won. but at the end of the day , United generally come up top.

  105. jellybean says:

    fuck me another 2 points dropped. owen ought to have started.

  106. Costas says:

    @Red Typhoon

    Indeed. I’d say that some of our players were still stuck on last Sunday. For example, Berbs didn;t have a good game. EVeryone knows I like him and I don’t expect him to get anothee hat trick, but he could have done better imo.

  107. Dakota says:

    Another thing is whenever Paul Parker is on espnstar as a fucking pundit..united dont play well..I dont like that man..fuckin creepy..

  108. Koolburn says:

    “Too many average players like Evans and O’shea in the team. They are good squad members, but we’re becoming inconsistent. Why do we still rely so heavily on Giggs and Scholes??? Another problem.”

  109. Gee says:

    Why the fuck is O’Shea starting every fucking game, hes a good utility squad player but he isnt a first teamer!! Play fucking Rafael for fuck sake and drop fucking Evans!! and give Smalling a run if Rio isnt fit!! Evans thinks he’s made it and his performance is dipping beyond shite!! MAKE SOME FUCKING CHANGES SAF!! and I never thought I would say this but give Owen some fucking games if he’s scoring goals for fuck sake!!

    We will get fucking dicked by Valencia if we dont get this sorted out!! Shocking, some serious wholesale changes to the team and then the fucking squad if they can’t raise there game before Jan.

  110. manutdthebest says:

    we are not wining away from home this season.. !! Unbelievable!

  111. RedevilsAdvocate says:

    On current form Owen has to be starting ahead of rooney, another disappointing result but we certainly didnt deserve to win. What the hell is up with Rio? I thought he was back from injury, evans is looking too suspect at the moment and O’shea I’m sorry shouldnt be starting every week. I’d even prefer Wes too start at RB and why no Rafael? Another missed opportunity, we’ve got to stop this. Well at least we didnt lose. Hope Mickey starts in midweek, he certainly deserves to more than Wayne

  112. Ballin... says:

    This Unfucking believable. Our players looked really exhausted/bored. I dunno what it was but seemed like many lacked the passion which they usually play with. Its pretty depressing.

  113. rooney the new king says:

    Costas – well if we going to have a DM we may have to drop scholes or fletcher. For me the real problems are oshea and evans playing. I said this yesterday evans should have been dropped especially the way smallen looks so much more composed of bringing the ball from defence and his height in the air gives united that extra dimension. midfield and upfront are ok. it is defence where the problems lie.

    christ we leaked goals with keane scholes beckham and giggs in they’re prime in the midfield, so the myth giggs and scholes age are the problem is a complete non-starter.

  114. dela says:

    Suddenly the Valencia and Sunderland away games seem ominous. I’d gladly take a draw in the first and a win in the latter.

  115. shantanu says:

    Unbelievable!!just unbelievable.Park offered absolutely nothing today.All I seem to remember him do is get the ball and then get shoved off it way too easily.Evans kept getting bullied time and again.He is by no means a small lad,so his utter ineptness in the air is just baffling.Oshea offered nothing going forward and wasn’t any good at defending either today.Rooney on current form should be behind both Macheda and Owen.If Owen still isn’t starting games after this then he should just realise that he’ll never start games at united except for the Carling cup and the dead rubbers in the champions league.
    Towards the end scholes was being made to cover way too much ground.Its really worrying how heavily we are relying on scholes and giggs.

  116. PasseMouraille says:

    If Rio isn’t fit (will he ever be?) for the next game give smalling a chance. We have all these promising pacey players like Obertan, The da Silvas, Chicha etc but still we play O’shea and Park (horrible for their second). When has Fergie had enough? I certainly have had. We just hoofed the ball in the last 15 minutes and had like 2 attacks. Nobody can blame Berbatov for today, no one. Nani MOTM.

    Last but certainly not least: Will the real Wayne Rooney please stand up?

  117. Costas says:

    @RTNK

    That’s where the problems start mate. Evans gets the blame, but leaving your defenders 1 v 1 ALL the time is lunacy. Scholes is not a midfield destroyer and Fletcher spends more time in the latter half of the pitch all the time.

    I’ll say this. Evans could do with a break from all this. Is Smalling too green? Is Rio a bit part player now? There’s Wes Brown ffs. He is not a crappy central defender. Or right back for that matter.

  118. Red Typhoon says:

    @Costas

    exactly mate!! I just don’t understand why are we not playing like we know we can? We can play with urgency when we are down with so little time remaining….why can’t we play with more zest and bite and urgency?? If we play like that teams would not be able to gain confidence and attack us like they do..but when we play like fucking lazy bastards out to try and look cool on the ball…we falter big time…taking it easy and playing with urgency, zipping the ball around use to be our forte….but this season..we seem to look out of sorts..i am just so livid…seriously..i feel like walking intot he dressing room and fucking giving them a kick up their butts…which i know i can’t do..;)..haha

  119. curtis says:

    Those subs is what let us down does anyone agree?
    I know its easy to say that after but i couldn’t see how park was gonna contribute then we pull off a centre midfield player for a owen and now we practically playin with one midfield player really stupid that!
    For owen we could have taken of o’shite and good 3-4-3 instead of lose out in midfield
    At 2 all we would have won it if we have 2 cm and not just scholes and fuckin park

  120. rooney the new king says:

    my defenders I would choose are?
    VDS
    rafeal brown de laat ferdinand vidic smallen evra fabio

    these guys are ahead of oshea and evans. fergie should look to pick 4 from this 8 I named that we have that can play in defence.

    PPL say oshea and evans are scapegoats but it comes to a point when these 2 are seen not marking they’re player tightly we always come undone. at one point evans was so far away from vidic davies had a huge gaping hole of space that he could have tested VDS or at worse case scored another goal.

  121. Jemmie says:

    Chelsea’s defeat didn’t harm them! I don’t know why other title rivals flop when Chelsea gets beaten! May be they run a Russian voodoo every time to lose!

  122. The Fly says:

    You can look at it like this. We lost away to Fulham and Everton last year. Got 2 points morethan last year with those games.

    Won at Bolton last year dropped 2 points today. All in all same amount of points.

    Also games like Sunderland at home which we drew we will surely win. And we’ll definetely take at least 2 points from Chelsea.

  123. TheRadLegion says:

    @UnitedYankee
    Don’t blame Park, we played only 3 in midfield. He was pretty much in a limbo state. He had to cover for Scholes as he was always late catching up every time Bolton launched a counter attack and at the same time he had to help moving the team forward.

  124. RedArmy_7 says:

    o’shea and evans are a fucking joke!!

  125. rooney the new king says:

    Costas – vidic and evra how many times did they had to cover evans and oshea’s rear end. the set piece we cannot blame scholes or fletcher there, evans should be around knight more and looking to attack the ball not look all afraid. Yes evra should be by the post more which was a mistake, but you can see the quality and quantity evans and oshea are, and the quality vidic and evra are. For me they are costing united goals

  126. Rai says:

    Time to slit the wrists people….

  127. United4eva says:

    If Giggsy’s injured Rooney should be shunted out to the flank like he was a couple of years ago to make room for Owen with Hernandez as first choice back up. Wazza simply isn’t a threat right now. His last touch of the game epitomised his state of mind right now: a lay off when the Rooney of last season would’ve swivelled and shot.

    Our defence right now isn’t upto scratch and the question has to be asked how many bad games certain players can have before they’re dropped. Vidic is not the leader he needs to be. Too often players are caught napping and as the skipper its his duty to keep them alert. Vida may be hard but he simply doesn’t have the authority of a Steve Bruce or at least he hasn’t shown that he has it. O’Shea should be dropped, Evans needs a rest.

    Not good enough. But at least we haven’t lost…

  128. Gary says:

    I honestly can’t believe the amount of negativity on here, it’s absolutely pathetic. If we had won that in the last minute I can imagine the flocks of people in raptures and claims of were going to win the league.

  129. rooney the new king says:

    but I could not believe the gaping hole I saw at centre half, bolton were going for a throw and evans and vidic the gap they between them was so gigantic it was scary.

    the irony is the result was a good one for united because we were the titanic today

  130. redrider says:

    Relax guys…Classic formula… Win at home, draw away…

  131. rooney the new king says:

    Gary – this topic was said when liverpool were beat last sunday. defence is a disaster, and not being funny united are leaking on average 2 goals a game I cannot blame any fan getting pissed off.

  132. Costas says:

    @RTNK

    Don’t know mate. I think the glass is viewed half empty on the 2 Johns. Evra is just as much to blame as Evans is for that first goal. Just like Carrick and Rafael were equally responsible when Ledley King scored at OT. As for the 2nd, it’s a counter from a corner. You are always at a handicapr defenging those.

    Vidic has been ok this season, but Evra hasn’t done much covering for the rest. He has been responsible for 3 goals in these 3 away games…

  133. TheRadLegion says:

    @Costas
    Fair argument in regards to Evans, but I bet we would have something different to say if we conceded a third goal from his mistake. He was so slow today caught once but could have been three if he wasn’t that lucky.

    We talked about this didn’t we, this is exactly the reason why we kept losing points. Today he might be lucky, but the next game against Sunderland with Bent and his physical prowess, he better get a hold of himself if we are to have a solid defense.

  134. RedArmy_7 says:

    Gary– even if we had scored 5 goals in the last minute id still want evans and o’shea out…. they’re costing us games !!

  135. Costas says:

    @RTNK

    As for the hole, it’s Vidic’s job as captain and as a more senior defender to instruct Evans where he should be standing…

  136. The Fly says:

    People laying into O’shea.

    I’ve been saying it for fuckin weeks

    If Rio is fit, play him that is obvious

  137. rooney the new king says:

    championship winning teams do not leak goal after goal after goal. we have leaked 11 goals since the season started. 9 if we do not include the carling cup tie. That is frightening

  138. RedevilsAdvocate says:

    just to point out to the guys slagging off Park, and Nani and the front players, it was defensive errors that cost us, we SCORED two goals, just let in two poors goals imo. And those pining for VDV, you do know he is an attacking player

  139. man united says:

    i nevere taught that evans would be like a sunday league player conme like were was he for knight goal. what a fucking jioke. get rid of evans now we let 2 goals against fulhanm 3 everton 2 day . now if you are telling us that evans is worht hang on to then you know nothing football

  140. TheRadLegion says:

    @Costas:
    The problem with Evans this season is his consistency of giving the back line the problem we do not want.

  141. willierednut says:

    Make no mistakes about this result, that’s a point gained lads, we were lack luster in the 2nd half, giving the ball away, very very lucky to get a point.

  142. Costas says:

    @TheRadLegion

    Not saying he had a good game either. He picked himself up after the goal, but in the second half where the game became end to end, he looked out of sorts. The problem here is what options we have. Rio is not dependable anymore. Smalling is probably still protected. So we either have Evans or Brown partnering Vidic. I am not losing faith in Jonny, but I think it’s time Wes got a shot…

    However, if our entire team doesn’t start functioning properly again, our defence will always be at a disadvantage.

  143. fena says:

    if we are leaving points with teams such as bolton, everton and fulham, what will we do with citeh, chelsea and arsenal or even totham?????

  144. Sketch says:

    Looking at our next fixtures makes me even more worried. We have Sunderland and Stoke away, not after each other but these are two teams that can also get something out of the game if we dont turn up. Our away form has been poor. We cant entirely blame our defense for conceding all those goals. Its partly the midfield too. Theres a huge gap between our mid and defense. Fletcher hasnt started the season well. His touch and passing havent been the best. Also his tracking back isnt at all helpful, he doesnt get close enough and allows them to pass the ball, the same could be said for Evra. These two players both played a key role in our title hunt last season, we need them to start performing.

    Now, Evans is an inexperience CB he is still young. OSHEA on the other hand is just a liability. He was never great but was quite good at giving us options at the back. But why is he starting regularly these days? He offers nothing going forward and no help at the back. He is often caught ball watching and is very slow with his approach. Not good enough. Harsh, but true. He shouldnt be starting. Where’s Wes?

    Park is constantly played out of position, so he really cant be blamed. I still dont understand why he was brought on today though. I mean Anderson would have been more useful. He is better at tracking back and would have allowed Scholes and Fletcher to go forward with more freedom.

    We weren’t horrible, but we also werent as good as I hoped. Two more points dropped.

    Must do better.

  145. Red Typhoon says:

    The only good thing till now is we have not lost…we have got to buck up or face the fucking consequences when we meet the big teams!!..Our defence is in fucking shambles…the team looks like they are just not interested and lacking passion…

    Also, they are mostly late to every ball…allowing bolton to get in quicker…are they not fucking up to speed with what has happened at fulham and everton and even at home to the fucking vermin scouse bastards?? The players should do less talking before matches…they should save that energy for the game…we loyal fans follow them every week without missing a match….defend them from all other club fans who despise our team….and this is how they repay us..fucking bollocks…

  146. rooney the new king says:

    Costas – well when we have won titles evra has always driven forward, he has been another source of pace in attack. We had brown ferdinand vidic fletcher carrick anderson always there to stop the counter. The problem is, oshea is awful in possession and he gives it away allot. Evans just does not dominate in the air, he is getting caught out when he has the ball and he seems to be getting overrun when anyone closes him down and he seems to be short of pace.

    There is so much any defender can do, vidic is not the one man defence it is give and take. Evans should be experience enough to know when to position himself he is not. Scapegoat is being generous to evans when he is not doing his job

  147. PasseMouraille says:

    The Biggest problem was that Evans lost almost every single header against Davies.So many problems all over the pitch it’s really alarming.

  148. dela says:

    @man united
    Evans has been terrible, I agree, but let’s cut him some slack, shall we? The lad is only 22 and he will get better.

    What I can’t understand is why the gaffer is still sticking with him despite the options he has at his disposal. What we need right now is experience- if Rio isn’t fit, I’d rather see Wes starting in the centre of defence at the Stadium of Light next weekend.

  149. Ulster Red says:

    man united
    you sir are a cunt…every fucking day you spam this blog with bullshit rumours, and if you rate evans you know nothing about football???? seriously you are a joke.

  150. TheRadLegion says:

    I just want to add a few things here, while it’s true I have things against Evans but I would love to be proved wrong (please prove me wrong Evans.. pretty please).. we got draw because collectively we were poor. You gotta give Bolton the credit they deserve.. the second goal was a sublime movement by Petrov and ended with a goal courtesy of Fletcher’s deflection.

  151. rooney the new king says:

    But like I said the irony is this is a good result for united, but I knew it we are struggling away from home

  152. Costas says:

    @willierednut

    At half time it didn’t look like a point gained. On the final whistle, it did. I don’t know what it will be good for. EVen with yesterday’s defeat, Chelsea are +5 compared to the same 6 fixtures last year. With this result, we have the same points as last season.

  153. Gary says:

    @rooney the new king

    The defensive issues are clear for everyone to see, but United fans are blowing things way out of proportion here. In the grand scheme of things we are 3 points behind Chelsea with 6 games played and had the tougher fixtures on paper. The defensive issues will be sorted out. Evans is out of form, he isn’t a bad player. We have scored 3 in all our games bar 2 in which we grabbed 2 in them. Our general quality of football has been good apart from the Rangers game. The reaction on here after this game in which we battled back twice and could have easily lost is quite ridiculous.

  154. Costas says:

    @TheRadLegion

    On another point, I don’t understand the critisism towards Park. Petrov beat him in the 2nd goal, just like he would have done everyone who isn’t a defender. Park actually saved us on a few occasions towards the end. He wasn’t that worse than say…Fletcher.

  155. Fred says:

    Fucking Bolton. NFT

  156. rooney the new king says:

    Gary – will the defence be sorted I think we will be relying on our attack like 01/02 season.

    does anyone else see this defence getting themselves sorted out, because I do not see us keeping any clean sheets away from home this season.

  157. fena says:

    “there is no value in the transfer market”
    I would rather say that there is” no value in our squad”

  158. rooney the new king says:

    Costas – also on the second goal wasn’t it oshea’s job to cover petrov for that goal.

  159. rooney the new king says:

    fena – 2 words SHUT UP

  160. Red Typhoon says:

    @Costas

    I agree with you…fletcher had a lousy game. The 2nd goal cannoned off him to put the icing on the cake…he was lost in midfield…slow to react to any situation or passes from his teammates…in other words, to me, he was just out of sorts!!

  161. willierednut says:

    There’s always an over reaction when we don’t win, but today we gained a point, simple as that.

  162. TheRadLegion says:

    @Costas
    I agree with you, that’s what I’ve been saying.
    Park was okay especially if you consider him playing off position. When we went with 3 strikers, he was pretty much in a limbo.. he had to cover for Scholes (esp when Bolton did a counter) and he had to help the team moving forward. I think he was okay tonight. Scholes on the other hand wasn’t very impressive.. I saw a few times where he could and should have passed the ball to Nani and Berba who were completely free but did not. I’m the biggest Scholes fan (always have his name on my jersey every year), but I think we should play and nurture Anderson and have him as the back up.

  163. rooney the new king says:

    willierednut – I said that even though our defence has cost us another 3 pts and more pts will be lost because allot of the time we cannot defend

  164. samuel - united WE stand says:

    @Gary – i cant see how you can possibly take any positives from this game, even if we had won, i’d have criticised that diabolical back line, we’re leaking goals like there is no tomorrow, giving fouls away at dangerous positions, giving teams momentum and confidence to attack us.

    o’shea should never be a starter at united, he is approaching 30 now and has never once in his united career shown he could be a starter at united but fair play to him, he has made a career out of his limited ability and ended up as a reliable utility man, now he is not even reliable anymore, he is costing us points along with his irish buddy jonny evans.

    The midfield is pretty much defensively naive, fletch might cover the whole pitch with work rate but tactically he isn’t astute, carrick wasn’t a flashy player but he was effective and defensively sound, its funny we can only appreciate this players when they’re out.

    park is another player that should be played in a 3man midfield, he hasn’t got the talents to dominate teams so therefore he is reliable in a big game, not when we need creativity.

    I could go on but we’ve being there before, if we defend like this against a very creative valencia, we will get battered i can assure you that, teams have worked out our weaknesses and they’re exploiting them well, its up to sir alex to sort this bullshit out.

  165. rooney the new king says:

    TheRadLegion – scholes for me was our best player on the pitch

  166. MG says:

    Okay we know the defence is having a nightmare

    For whatever it’s worth we haven’t lost

    But that doesn’t mean that 3 draws are acceptable in the first three games

    Fulham game was weird Everton match was a disgrace Bolton match we were losing and got away with it

    I of all people cannot defend the indefensible but here is something

    Let the team leak the goals – I really do hope they fucking start to tighten up though

    It was far worse last year in winter when we had no defence to call upon – so let’s just pray for some shining light

    Everyone bar Vidic is having a shocker in defence – I think it’s high time to get Evans out of the team for his own sake and give him a breather and get Smalling in and let Evans recalculate whatever he has to because it’s obvious the kid is going through something

    I would argue the same for Evra and John. This is not a crisis yet but it could be if nothing is done about it – I do believe the manager was right though to stick with the same defence – you have to give your players a chance to respond to criticism – when they don’t they themselves know what it coming.

    Hang on reds 32 games to go 3 points behind goal difference to catch up – just hang on – this is a crazy start to a league…

  167. man united says:

    conme on like evans get his chance to prove he is better than riio and vidc . last season away at ac milan evans got destroyed and fergie fuck him jouiying the ganme. its being coming for sonme time. i will hold my hands up if evans conmes good . but i dont think he will rio. be back now. and when will be the next he play . probaly carling cup.. conme on united fans grow up if you think evans will make it

  168. Fred says:

    Actually, forget NFT. What a bunch of cunts they are. Owen Coyle – what a tosser. Those two substitutions in injury time… the little twat had them up his sleeve just in case they were fluking a jammy result against us and it worked a treat.

    We really weren’t at the races today. Not making excuses but there’s no way any team should be playing games at 12pm FFS. Still should have beaten them though.

    Great header by Michael Owen TBF. He deserves a start now. Very disappointed by the way that Hernandez and the twins have been marginalised recently. We really should have kept Cleverley as well. So much for giving young players a chance.

  169. Gary says:

    @rooney the new king

    2 years ago pretty much the same defensive players broke the record for number of clean sheets on the spin so I have confidence in them and Fergie that we sill soon start seeing improvements. You don’t see us keeping ‘any’ clean sheets away from this season. I don’t for one second actually believe you mean that.

  170. willierednut says:

    We can’t take any positives from this game Samuel? Yes we can, we got a point, we scaresly deserved. Giggs out for 2 weeks, Rooney should be ok for Wednesday.

  171. TheRadLegion says:

    @RTNK:
    Well he was okay but not the best on the pitch in my opinion. The only player I can think of that played rather well was Vidic.

  172. Costas says:

    @RTNK

    For a reason only known to him, O’Shea decides to drift inside when Bolton score the second. But as I said, you are always at a disadvantage when a team counters from a corner of yours. Everyone is all over the place. Look at where Fletcher was.

    @TheRadLegion

    Scholes can still pull off master displays, but the midfield is ubalanced. Especially in away games. Fletch should be covering him defensively, but he spends most of the time on the attacking side of our game. With Carrick and Ando returning, I think it’s time to try out different midfield combos, especially away from home.

    @Red Typhoon

    As I said above. Looks like he is getting his priorities a bit mixed up. It’s leading us to playing kamikaze football.

  173. Costas says:

    @willie

    Cheers. Could be time to give Obertan a chance. Giggs was bound to get a hamstring problem at some point.

  174. KingOfStretfordEnd says:

    We’ve definitely gained a point here. Last season, our attack was mediocre, if Rooney wasn’t fit, we lack attacking ideas. But we were defensively decent.(Decent cos i think our best ever defence was 07-08 with RIo,Vida,Wes and Pat nearly all the time available). This time its the other way round, we’re much better in attack but the defense is utter atrocity to the maximum. That said, please don’t start Berba bashing (hopefully that depleted after last week). Berba could have done better, but he had to drift wide, cos he had to try and get the ball, since delivery wasn’t good. We lacked much in the final third today, not cos Berba/Rooney/Macheda/Owen weren’t doing their jobs, but cos the delivery was sparse. And the delivery was sparse cos of our terrible defending( including the defensive mids obviously). No urgency, not much pressing of the ball?Come on lads, isn’t the incentive of going 1 point behind enough?We have to sort the defense. Rio: WE NEED YOU. O’ shea, i’m sorry can’t be a regular starter!There’s Wes!or rafael!And park-isn’t much of a game changer. He didn’t contribute much.
    While putting 3 strikers on was great, saw glimpses of nice interplay btwn Berba and Macheda . We were pressing well after Owen scored- but when we lost it, It never really came back!the defense is driving me crazy.Vida is good as usual, while Pat may make mistakes at times, but its Evans and O Shea.And Fletch’s a little off colour.
    That said, i think there’s a tiny bit extra negativity. This is 1 point gained. Everton-yes, 2 DAFT points dropped.You can’t say we won’t win the league just cos of this. As seen from yesterday’s results, clearly shows that there’s no fear of big teams, and the league’s tougher. We could have actually won all the games we’ve drawn so far, its the defense that’s letting us down.
    We will the league, but
    SHAKE UP THE DEFENDING .

  175. willierednut says:

    Nani was our most productive player, he made one goal and scored the other one.

  176. TheRadLegion says:

    @Costas:
    Agreed to all points. Anderson have the tendency to waste the ball with his inconsistent passing skill. But I always fancy him replacing Scholes one day and I hope he could straight his head and learn from mr Scholes the meister himself.. rather than waste his time partying.

  177. Always Be Closing says:

    @man united – you’re a fucking joke. Just leave.

  178. man united says:

    @ always be closing what ganme were you watching . must of the fans why talking to say evans is rubbish. and people calling into radio shos and mut v. we will see who wright are wrong in how many ganmes does evans play betwenn now and may and if i am proven so be it but i douth very much.

  179. obertanthenewstar says:

    @Costas

    what is park in the team for?? DEFENDING.. if u watch the replay… park was right next to petrov when he made the switch field pass… but did NOT follow him or even look to see if he was making the run… he let him run and petrol had so much space he could have had 2 bad touches and stil would have got a shot away… the point is park is in the team because of his work ethic and defending.. if he isnt doing that.. wtf is he doing ?

  180. JOHANSSON says:

    GLORY GLORY MAN U ^_^

  181. kel says:

    There is nothing to worry. It’s still early season. Although we could have been at a better position but we still alright at the moment. But i hope the central midfielder can come back from injury. Our midfield is the weakest area where we constantly let them attack at.

    Defensively, i like to see Rafael have a go at right back. The rest did alright. Nani cross was dreadful but i can only see Nani provide threats, with Nani, our speed of play will be damn slow and without him, there will be no creativity. We need another fast winger where i like to see Obertan or Bebe have a go. Owen looks brilliant and should have a start instead of Rooney. Let Rooney have a rest and he will be back to his best.

    We still alright and if we starts to have our midfielder back from injury, we will be fine.

  182. Dakota says:

    @Man united- Sorry to point out but What the fuck are you typing mate..haha..ganme? wright?douth?? hahaha..

  183. Xyth says:

    @Gary
    You can say whatever you want (even without insulting anybody- which says enough about you) but the matter of fact is that when we needed most a decent delivery in the box for Berba and Owen, Nany let us down badly. We had enough time to score another goal. Yes Nani scored one and made one, but that means nothing if you do not win! And he could have been a real hero had his delivery and judgment at times been better.

  184. Troy says:

    Six games in to the premier league season & there are 10 sides that have conceded less goals than us.
