Would be perfectly happy with a dull, injury / suspension free 1-0!

    Come on lads

  4. Costas says:

VDS – Rafael. Vidic, Smalling, Evra – Obertan, Carrick, Fletcher Scholes, Nani – Berba

  5. xol says:

There’s a game tonight? Shame, I was looking forward to chatting to Spurs fans about Nani’s goal.

Bursaspor. hmmm must be an anagram there.

  6. Costas says:

Bench: Kus, Brown, Park, Chicha, Fabio, O’Shea, Bebe.

  7. Wednesdayx says:

a 2-0 would be nice… I hope Javier bangs one in and another one from Nani :)

  8. xol says:

    O Spurs R ABU :-)

  9. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Vidic plays which makes it his 200 game

  10. xol says:

Costas Is that the team? your team??

  11. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Good experience for Eikrem to see how the first team fly on a plane

  12. Costas says:

    @xol

    That’s the official line up.

  13. xol says:

Cheers Costas. Smalling to score then.

  14. Costas says:

    @xol

Haha, hope so too. Although a clean sheet would be just as good for him. On twitter, Rio has picked Berba to score. It’s certainly been a long time since he last scored in Europe.

  15. SmartAlex says:

    Come on United

  16. arijc says:

    GHTT
He has graduated to learning in-flight manners.

  17. bchilds says:

Slightly stronger team than I thought would be playing.

I see more adverts have appeared on Rom!

  18. Jeet says:

Any Sopcast streams? Most of them seem to be showing some stupid Donetsk or Kazan game…

  19. Costas says:

    @FletchTHEMAN

A bit on the fence for this, but I am glad that Harry has bullied them like that. Just goes to show what they are made of. And he made a good point. If you want managers to give you their opinion 5 minutes after the game, you have to know that they won’t be in a clear state of mind.

It opens a can of worms now.

  20. Jeet says:

@bchilds: yes, isnt it? looks like the Gaffer is pulling out all stops…makes you wonder what team he is going to play against Wolves, given that we have a derby mid week…

  21. Dave Mack says:

I think the strength of the team relects Fergie’s concern to get to 10 points as quickly as you can in order to avoid two high pressure matches before the turn of the year.

  22. Jeet says:

@radzio: Evere heard the one about the Pole who goes to get his eyes checked the old fashioned way? After the doctor asks him if he can read the letters in the mirror, the man exclaims, ” Read them? I know him!”
LOL, no offence meant, mate ( we Indians are just as bad, I run out of space when trying to fill out forms)…

  23. redevil forever says:

i think we shouldn’t play nani i am scared to shit for him getting injured with tony v already injured
anyway come on united i will be happy with 1 0

  24. Red Devil says:

    Hello mates…

Sir could’ve kept Eikrem on the bench at least…instead of Oshea…we already have Brown and Fabio as defenders who can cover all 4 defensive positions among themselves…Eikrem would’ve been thrilled…

May be he could’ve come on late game with 15 mins remaining if were 2-0 up! :)

  25. theboogeyman says:

anybody has links for a live stream for the game? they’re showing inter vs spurs on one channel and barca vs. copenhagen on the other.

  26. SmartAlex says:

    Obertan will score.

  27. Mickjk says:

Hopefully we see a mini masterclass from obertan. A nice wee opportunity for him to properly introduce himself.

  28. Dr.Hannibal says:

rumours of 2olegend switching to molde on twitter manutdyouth.com

  29. Dakota says:

    @The Boogeyman

Since I know you are from India..this would be a good link..

  30. redrider says:

  31. redevil forever says:

do they really need to whistle everytime we touch the ball for ffs

  33. theboogeyman says:

    @Dakota:
    Thanks, mate.

Spurs beating Inter 1-0, “the signing of the season” scored again.

  34. Clinton says:

    Nani off with injury…Damn

  35. JiggyDeRedManc says:

i guess it’s safe to say berbatov is back to his old ways

  36. Collyhurst Red says:

How much more fuc’king casual are we gonna be! FFS

  37. slim says:

that was a drab 1st half, hope the boys crank it up in the second. miffed as to why they’re so “cool” about it. game has a look of smash n grab about it. not a fan of smash n grab. Come on lads

  38. TonyBee says:

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  39. Costas says:

Berba hasn’t played well recently, but in fairness, he hasn’t had any support out there tonight. I can still seeing us nicking a winner though.

I hope Nani doesn’t have anything serious.

  40. Costas says:

As for the performance, it’s how we’ve been playing away in Europe for a while now. Hope we have enough quality left to grab a winner.

  41. United4eva says:

We’ve gone steadily backwards since the 1st minute and after Nani was replaced a lot of players seemed to lose all heart. Its strange to see a United side compromising of players looking for a match winner instead of believing they can all be match winners. Smalling has been the best player in a red shirt by some distance. We’re all over the place across the backline and midfield and we’re about as threatening as a teddy bear in attack. In the second half this XI must show the guts and determination thats been the hallmark of United down the years.

  42. RedMancundonian says:

Van Der Vaart, Modric and Bale run ragged Inter in the firsthalf. I’m watching both games simultaneously, doing a bit of scouting, Tottenham have a stronger side than shitty fc, for sure. Shat my pants when I saw Nani being taken off injured, but anyway, VIVA MANCHESTER UNITED !!!!!!

  43. Wednesdayx says:

I hope Nani is okay :(

  44. JayDee says:

Huh? chill out, its 0-0 away in CL. Happily take a clean sheet, maybe we’ll nick a goal late into it

  45. TheRadLegion says:

I fell asleep for about 10-15 minutes during the match. I don’t know if I should feel glad that I didn’t miss the actions, or I should feel gutted for the performance :(

  46. Costas says:

The performance isn’t worrying guys. The problem is that we keep losing attacking players. Valencia, Rooney, Owen, Kiko, Giggs and now Nani. We are a talented side in attack, but we will struggle with none of those guys out there. Hopefully Hernandez can inject some pace in our attacks.

  47. Ulster Red says:

    nani are you ok
    are you ok nani?

  48. supermanc says:

    Obe-tan-keobi to get the first!!!

  49. supermanc says:

HAHA Ulster Red!! I think hes ok

  50. Chicharito14 says:

    Fletcher!!!goal

  51. TonyBee says:

    FLETCHERINOOOOOO!!!!!!

  52. redcrab says:

    Football genius.

  53. Wednesdayx says:

    what a quiet goal….

  54. TonyBee says:

BERBA…. GOT HIS ‘FOR FUCKS SAKE’ HEAD ON AGAIN

  55. supermanc says:

Clattenburg has just blew for a free kick at Old Trafford!!!

  56. Balaji Sivaraman says:

I hate what Berba is doing to the entire team right now. I have been one of his staunchest supporters and think he is a bonafide genius, but he should not be shaking his head left and right each time a pass does not come his way. It just puts the entire team off and his body language is so bad right now that I think substituting him would be a great idea.

  57. TonyBee says:

    supermanc; lol

  58. samuel - united WE stand says:

OBERTAAAN!!! He might look like an alien but he is our alien

  59. JTrappe says:

    Obie!!! well fook me sideways

  60. supermanc says:

Super strike by Obe-tan Kenobi!!!!!!! Sweet!

  61. Chicharito14 says:

    Absolutely fabulous strike.

  62. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Awesome goal and has anyone else been really impressed with Obertan’s improvement in general. I think he has really worked on his upper body strength and is quite easily able to hold off defenders now than when he started with us. He also shows great determination to get back on defense which lead to our first goal. Overall, I think he should be playing more games in general.

  63. redcrab says:

lol @ gallic man love celebration!

  64. irwinisalegend says:

    BEBEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  65. Collyhurst Red says:

    OMG, they’re all at it!

Very nice goals, all 3 (up to now)!

  66. samuel - united WE stand says:

His NANI goes off but BEBE shows he can take care of himself, oh dear oh dear DAILY FUCKING MAIL, eat that bitches!

  67. supermanc says:

Not bad for a homeless bloke fed on home-made soup!!! Go on Bebe!!!

  68. Whyrooneywhy says:

    Bebetinovich

  69. samuel - united WE stand says:

I have so much faith in our youth, our manager believes in them and so do i, fergie won’t just shell a supposed 7mill for no reason, bebe will be a star. our young wingers are gonna rip teams apart, give them time.

  70. redevil forever says:

    3 0 come on uniteddddddddddddddddddddd

  71. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Gareth Bale is ripping an Italian defense apart. Just goes to show how impressive our defense was on Saturday when he did not even get as much as a kick in the game. :D

  72. Dumb4ss says:

OMG bale ran the show at tottnham. FERGIE, SIGN HIM UP!!!! Our lads doin great btw...

  73. Alpha_RS says:

Brilliant support from the Bursaspor fans.
    Not Berba’s day today.

  74. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Alpha, Spot on mate. Just what I was thinking. Just shows the sorry, sorry state of fans at some Premier League clubs like Stoke etc.

  75. United4eva says:

Now thats Man Utd! Bebe’s pace was blistering the way he just pushed that past the Bursa full back to square for Berbatov (not his best game) and great to see Obertan get in on the act. Unbeaten, two clean sheets, 5 wins since the Rooney crap. Nice.

  76. samuel - united WE stand says:

maicon can’t defend, not suprised he got battered by a bale who is direct, rafael kept him quiet when he faced him and is learning his trade in the premier league so might be the only current brazilian fullback that will eventually be a complete player as a defender and an attacker.

  77. FletchTHEMAN says:

Good result, 0-3 away in the CL. Flecth, Obertan, Bebe. All good open field goals.
Hope that Fletch and Nani can shake off the injuries. On United!

  78. piru says:

For me, Bursaspor fans are Champions League Winners. Brilliant whole game, we should learn from them.

  79. RedScot says:

For me being 18, its just been a fucking fantastic night to see so many youngsters like Raphael Fabio, Bebe* and Obertan, not for getting a fucking superb performance from Chris Smalling.
    Just brilliant.
This means we continue on. And the Glazer still rob our club.
More moolah in the later stages of the Champions league.
But lets celebrate eh, and the Teddy bears suffed bye Valenthia.
Lets noy have a Berba love fest eh tonight. He is off song, but when did you perform every night with your boyfriend! lol

  80. bchilds says:

Good result, pleased with the goal scorers too.

Bebe now has more goals than Rooney has this season!

  81. hurr says:

Good that the youngsters got on the score sheet. Match was a bit slow pace and boring though. Seeing ‘Arry trash waah waah mistar Ferguson was a bit more fun…

  82. bigphil2003 says:

I’ve slagged him a lot recently, but Carrick was excellent tonight, well played! Great to see Obertan and Bebe being impressive every chance they get. Evra was also quality as was the always brilliant Scholes. Berbatov didn’t have his head on tonight, let’s hope its just a momentary blip.

  83. in Sir Alex we trust says:

Watched both Man Utd and Spurs match, and the conclusion I got was forget the Messis, the Torreses, the Rooneys … I want Gareth Bale at Man Utd NOW! Fergie sign him up!

  84. Devil310 says:

    Well done lads…

Really good to see the likes of Fletch, Carrick, Obe-tan-kenobi and Bebe doing well

    Carrick is officially back….

    Any news on Nani?

  85. slim says:

Berba confidence looks shot big time,we all know he’s moody and all, but there’s something not right with him i feel, On the positive Bebe and Obertan got UCL debut goals and played ok. I thought carrick was good too. Funny to think we’ve scored all these goals without Mr ambition. The boy has to raise his game to the Next level at the minimum for SAF to even consider bringing him back in. Well thats if Berba doesn’t get his mind right and starts performing the way we know he can.

Oh yeah Fuck you Daily mail and the rest of the ABU cunts. The “homeless kid ” has found a home at OT, fucking cunts

  86. silvertoes says:

have to agree with u there piru, Bursaspor fans were amazing.. 0-3 down and still making that hell of a noise.. Hope Old Trafford can make that kind of atmosphere in the future..

  87. bchilds says:

    @in Sir Alex we trust

Did he have another top game? Who was he facing, Zanetti again?

  88. Costas says:

Great seconf half performance. The ginger one pulling the strings like only he can. What a goal by Obertan and glad for Bebe! He has more goals than Rooney this season!

Smalling, Rafa and Carrick are 3 best players for me. At times I thought Smalling was Rio in disguise! Oh and welcome back Carrick of old. :D

  89. willierednut says:

A very good result for the lads and an encouraging performances from Bebe and Obertan, but Carrick was my motm. I just hope people don’t go ott on that showing, the opposition was very poor, with no ambition at all, but a decent win away in Europe. ps Cracking goal from Kojack

  90. hurr says:

Anyone saw scummy cheating Barca? Valdez goes in with a flying knee to the FCK’s striker’s face but escaped a booking. Unbelievable.

  91. Costas says:

All I can say about Berb, is that hopefully it wasn’t his night. With his movement he did help open up spaces for others(hence our goals in the second half), but he wasn’t very good other than that.

  92. in Sir Alex we trust says:

    @bchilds

he was facing Maicon, who I say is not the best at defending but Bale has the talent to be our next left winger … But Spurs wouldn’t wanna sell him would they?

  93. bchilds says:

    @Costas

I hate his attitude to his team mates sometimes, always throwing his arms around shouting at team mates. Don’t like to see it. I was behind the bench at Old Trafford for the United vs WBA game and saw Rooney constantly shaking his head everytime a United player misplaced a pass. Hate seeing it.

  94. syaitan merah says:

erm was just wondering, anybody know why the turkish fans were singing whilst looking away from the pitch? around 70-ish min and on?

hope nani gets well soon or my fantasy team will most likely be screwed!!

  95. willierednut says:

I forgot about Berbatov, totally wrong attitude tonight, looks down in the dumps.

  96. Costas says:

Don’t think Spurs would sell Bale anytime soon.

Besides, his performances are just a testament to how KRAP the current Inter manager is.

  97. bchilds says:

    @in Sir Alex we trust

Spurs would sell, nothing like the kind of valuation we could afford though!

  98. Collyhurst Red says:

I agree with all said about Carrick tonight, very good game, but…………

He always makes 1 heart-stopping mistake in every game, just watch. On the plus side we do have many other players who are alert to the danger.

Excellent team performance, we’re building up steam!

Derby day looming, bring it on!

  99. Costas says:

    @bchilds

To be honest, I don’t really have an issue with that. It’s annoying, but in a team of winners, you can expect it. Besides, I don’t think Berba cut it even when he was scoring for fun.

The main worry is that he is starting to drift away from games again. Not that I fancy him to play in a 4-5-1 away from home though. Hopefully he will bounce back against Wolves. Like Carrick, I get a feeling that he is a confidence player. Hopefully he will score soon and get the monkey of his back.

  100. United says:

Why oh why did Gareth Bale not sign when Fergie told him he was being converted to a left winger all those years ago

  101. bigphil2003 says:

Just saw a replay of Bebe’s goal, Berb’s reaction afterwards was disappointing to say the least. It might not have been his night but as one of the more experienced players he should be encouraging our younger ones like Bebe.

  102. Costas says:

Heard Nani has a groin problem. Could be fit for Wolves.

  103. SmartAlex says:

Great result, and a lot of positives.
Especially that young players were well boosted.
Now they should play a big role in the last 2 group games.

  104. willierednut says:

Even if Spurs decide to sell Bale, it won’t be to us.

  105. in Sir Alex we trust says:

    @Costas

yeah, Inter do have a big fat loser in their manager

    @bchilds

    yeah, those bloodsucking Glazers! LUHG!

  106. MUFC WL105 says:

Tonight was basically like a training game and we didnt need him to be at his best but Berbatov was awful all night. Straying offside needlessly, throwing his arms in the air and moaning to the other players all night. Since the hat trick against Liverpool he’s been getting worse every week. Looks like he’s slipping back into last seasons form again

  107. Legolas says:

Bale is a bomb!… he took Inter defenders to de cleaners de whole time!… Maicon who?.. Modric is out of dis world!..
Every seemingly bad thing will work for our good dis season… Bebe for Nani, Obertan for Giggs, Chica for Rooney, resurgence of Carrick, Park, Ando, etc.. and Eikrem finally getting a chance.
    God bless United!

  108. Moscow is my heaven says:

    Hate Rooney Love Bebe

  109. willierednut says:

bigphill03 – I noticed his reation when Hernandez scored his second goal against Stoke, wasn’t at all happy seeing that. I hope he comes out of this slump he’sbeen in, because he was winning a few over this season.

  110. bchilds says:

Looks like there’s nothing major wrong with Nani, taken off as a precaution thankfully.

  111. bchilds says:

    @Legolas

Ahh, Ferguson being right about potential YET again!

  112. Costas says:

I don’t think that Berba is unhappy for his team mates. Just disappointed in himself. What I have noticed is that he usually plays with confidence when he is considered our top striker. Like the start of the season. Ever since Chicharito started banging them in, he seems to have lost some of that confidence. Like he is threatened.

  113. hurr says:

    @Costas

My thoughts exactly. When the spotlight is on someone else, he somehow just fades into the background.

  114. willierednut says:

He needs to realize, there’s no I in team.

  115. Abhishek says:

Modric and Bale tailor made replacements for Giggs and scholes.. but they will cost us a bomb.,

  116. torontored says:

Stroll in the park – they were knackered after 45 minutes. Still not sure on Obertain or Bebe both have feet that move faster than their brains, but would add they are getting better – Smalling is now a player, thouhgt he was decent tonight and his game has improved since the start of the campaign

Rafael impresssed gets better every game – a few mistakes but he adds that attacking dimension – as to comments above about Bale tearing Inter apart – he did not tear Rafael apart.

Berba again let himself down but part of that goes to playing him as a lone striker – just does’nt fit that position

Bring on Wolves – we have a few players in reserve for that one.

Just hope the vermin can steal at least a point from the rent boys on Sunday

  117. Costas says:

I just hope we won’t revert to last year’s debates about Berbatov. He was one of our best players early in the season and much like other top United players, he is going through a bad patch now. If Berba has learned something from the last two seasons is that he must not allow this to go to his head.

  118. willierednut says:

Always said Modric was a class act, now some are starting to realize what a top player he’s becoming. I think he still needs to add a few more goals to his game, but I’m sure that will come in time.

  119. Legolas says:

    Bchilds. yeah, Rooney is clueless
Willie. Modric is so good he doesnt need to score many.. take Xavi for instance.. Scott Parker is unbelievably astounding! if anyone has noticed… can control perfectly, excellent surges upfront, creative, good n hard tackles…u name them. why is Barry in de english team wen he is not??.. baffling!

  120. parryheid says:

    Legolas.

What I find baffling is how did the biscuit Jammy Dodger get it’s name, the Jammy bit I understand.

  121. Vilhelm28 says:

Judging from the last couple of games it seems like Carrick and Park are finding back to some kind of form. If it continues we will prosper greatly. Fun to see some new faces, but Bursa were terrible. Not sure what to say any longer about our striker – but I am guessing from what I saw yesterday and the apparent displeasure showed by Scholes on the field towards him, that SAF will have a sitdown anytime soon. Would not be surprised if Chica gets an extensive run in the first team – something is very wrong the the Bulgarian. If statements mde by Coata higher up are correct, with Barby having problems sharing the spotlight with other players and not handling the fact that he isnt the shit -well – welcome to the greatest club in the world, where world beaters are created every year.

BTW – Scholes was magic – can anyone clone 5 more of him at a younger age?

  122. kumlaham says:

    what a satisfying win!
