  2. Libzo Jr says:

    Prepare your tissues JT

  3. I am high and i like it says:

Nani dropped…team -> Man Utd: Van der Sar, Evra, Ferdinand, Rooney, Giggs, Park, Chicharito, Vidic, Carrick, Rafael, Valencia

  4. 3/without/killing/anyone* says:

the only doubt i have is with our number 2, Mike Phelan. He’s a good assistant, not that great. otherwise, COME ON YOU REDS !

  5. the scottish wonder says:

Lið Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa Ivanovic Terry Cole, Ramires, Essien, Lampard Zhirkov, Drogba, Torres.
Varamenn: Turnbull, Benayoun, Mikel, Malouda, Ferriera, Kalou, Anelka.

Lið Manchester Untied: Van der Sar, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Park, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Rooney, Hernandez.
Varamenn: Kuszczak, Berbatov, Smalling, Nani, Scholes, Evans, Gibson.

  6. bchilds says:

    @3/without/killing/anyone*

How do you know that? Sir Alex wouldn’t have him as his number 2 if Phelan wasn’t top notch. Mayve your opinion is because his surname is Phelan and more ‘continental’!

  7. willierednut says:

Chelsea’s weakness is on the wings. Stoke caused them all sorts of problems. Surely, we can do the same? Can see goals, 2 1 United.

  8. smartalex says:

    Come on United!

  9. socratestee says:

Please on what site can I get the match on online?

  10. socratestee says:

    Come on Reds

  11. micho says:

    pity berba on the bench

  12. parryheid says:

Lots of cards tonight methinks,Chelsea thugs will wonder what hit them cue the complaints about the referee HaH.

  13. socratestee says:

How do I increase the volume? @radziu I have tried all I can to know avail. Thanks

  14. 3/without/killing/anyone* says:

@bchilds naahh, nothing to do with ‘continental’ mate. am not saying he’s bad though, but surely there are better options. In my opinion, he’s not that good tactically. At times when needed, fresh ideas and options has to be imply to SAF, and i dont really think he did enough. I think Queiroz was a better assistant manager than him. Not saying we should ring Queiroz and hire him again, i’d like to see ex players to be SAF assistant and let MP stick to first team coach.

  15. redrider says:

Berbagasm on it’s way in the second half.

  16. fergie is the boss says:

3/without/killing/anyone – who cares who is the assistent, fergie is there and thats all that matters. And why are we debating about phelen, he does his job well so thats all that matters

  17. willierednut says:

    Come on ye Reds!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Costas says:

The assistant debate is a long one. What I will say, is that this is the first time in a long time that SAF has put out such an attacking team for the 1st leg of a European tie.

  19. Costas says:

Banner in the United end: “United & City. Joined by geography, separated by success.”

    :D

  20. lil' k says:

barbie and captain leader legend already had booked, or from this stage will start over???

  21. 90+Until We Score says:

Here the viva John Terry……fuck the away fans are awesome……..

  22. Chukzy says:

Go united.may victory be with you guys.united for ever

  23. xodus says:

Bad tackle by Essien, no yellow card. Sigh, why am I not surprised.

  24. MyCowIsTheBest says:

Come on Park. Show us your true colours!

  25. billybowlegs says:

    @Redrider…..Berbagasm…lol fuckin genius!!

  26. billybowlegs says:

I think Chelsea have got a problem with Rooney…

  27. 90+Until We Score says:

Carrick has been very good first 15 mins

  28. MyCowIsTheBest says:

yup Carrick has been very good. But Rio and Parky looks a bit awkward.. been out too long..

  29. parryheid says:

Oh yes nice one United let the slaughter begin.

  30. Xyth says:

    Fuck What Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  31. RedScot says:

Get in there Wazza, do your talking on the park

  32. gerkeo says:

    Giggsy, marry me?

  33. Zelh says:

What the hell happened to carrick?
    looks a totally different player!

  34. Balaji Sivaraman says:

    What? Fucking What?

Easiest goal we’ve scored in a long time. Where the fuck was Chelsea’s so called amazing defence. Where are the Carrick haters now? Amazing ball to Giggs. And important run from Chicarito to take Ivanovic and the Chelsea defense away from the ball.

The all-important away goal. Now all we need is the victory.

  35. 90+Until We Score says:

Carrick don’t you go under shadow….believe…..I know giggsy controlled beautifully and Rooney finished excellently…but Carrick’s been brilliant

  36. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Drogba getting out-muscled by 21 year old Rafael is the greatest sight in European football.

  37. billybowlegs says:

    told you so…..lol

  38. MyCowIsTheBest says:

    WTF CARRICK AND GIGGSSS!!!!!

  39. MyCowIsTheBest says:

whew that is a let off

  40. MyCowIsTheBest says:

Rio is picking up the lady hahahah

  41. FletchTHEMAN says:

Scott reports that to many are posting. I am moving to the traditional method.

    COOMMMMON YOU REDSSSSSS!

TORRES IS STILL A DIVING B*ASTARD!!!!!!

  42. DROmole says:

Fingers crossed. But can we possibly fuck ‘em in their backyard like schalke did inter?

  43. FletchTHEMAN says:

Chicho seems a bit lost. But that was a good effort.
Chaves are flopping around like ladies with torn stockings. Wish the ref
would book one of them for this. WR10 is being fouled right and left.
Come on U REDS. Get stuck in!!!!

  44. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Stop dinkin it around lads.

OOOOOOO that was freekin close!!!! Need the whistle here. Sheeesssh

  45. falsafa says:

Phew! I can take that shit now.

And oh, Carrick and Rio have been brilliant this half.

  46. Mickjk says:

    That was close.

  47. smartalex says:

Absolutely loving the game! Tremendous! We are full value for our lead.
    Come on United!

  48. spenlunc says:

Could someone provide me some good link??

  49. micho says:

    bring berba on

  50. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Chelsea seem to be doing nothing with all their possession whereas United are more purposeful all around. Everytime we get near their penalty box, we look like we will score.

A few close calls though mostly due to us giving the ball away far too easily in dangerous positions. I feel SAF will have a word with the team about that.

Carrick has been beastly though. Easily MOM so far.

  51. gerkeo says:

It’s amazing how shit chelski are when the ref isn’t bought

  52. musvn says:

Carrick played pretty well so far. Giggs was awesome. And it looks like Rooney is in a scoring streak :) Now, we got to make sure a proper second half

  53. bryanrobson's my hereo says:

i’ve been a rooney basher ever since the prostitute/contract affair, and his behavior since has not been that much better. so i also have to say, that his goal scoring record in the last couple of months has been sensational. does anyone know how many goals he has scored and in how many games, sine he returned to scoring a couple of months ago?

  54. MyCowIsTheBest says:

At that single moment, Valencia and Rafael lost their concentration allowing Drogba to send the ball into our box. That’s what happens when you lost your concentration against great sides.

  55. billybowlegs says:

I can see it getting a bit tasty later…..

  56. Xyth says:

Let’s finish this match on the second half. Rent boys are there for taking.

Should be careful at the back, avoid silly things in front of our goal and giving ball away cheaply. As long as we play simple football we will be fine!

  57. parryheid says:

Pick the fuckers of next half,Oh joy.

  58. Costas says:

Carrick has been awesome thus far.

Good performance, but this is where it will get tougher. We must not allow them to close us down like that.

  59. smartalex says:

Wilkins on chelsea at half time “It almost appears as if the occasion is too big.”

  60. Mahesh says:

One change i would like at some stage is Nani on for Park – Park looks a little superfluous to me right now – Nani could be really useful in hitting them on the break when they start looking desperately for a goal later on. Mind you, Chelsea just might take the 0-1 rather than risking going 0-2 down. This second half is going to be interesting.

  61. Xyth says:

Wonder if the big Russian crook will flash his rubles in front of the ref at half time!!!!

  62. Saad says:

United are directly responsible for both my good cholesterol and bad cholesterol!!!

  63. redrider says:

    Xyth

think he hasn’t tried that already?! :P

  64. gerkeo says:

    My song for chelsea,

    When the ref isn’t bought,
    When the ref isn’t bought,
    Ye’re not half as good,
    When the ref isn’t bought,

  65. dannysoya says:

Sorry how many goals does roo have in the lge? i thought he had 12.

  66. keano says:

Lets hope we ll keep the result today. I feel that the first 15/20 mins will be crucial

    COME ON LADS!!!

  67. Saad says:

Michael Carrick looks like a different footballers altogether. Assertive, fast, powerful…and oh yeah, he can still pass! Love it!

  68. mig78 says:

Nani being left out for last 2 games. Does it has anything to do with him mumbling to the press that Fergie stops him from expressing himself in games?

  69. Mahesh says:

Carrick to be honest has shown some good glimpses of what he’s all about in the last few weeks – some solid defensive work in particular, and some important block – but he’s really put together whole package for tonight so far. Lets hope he keeps it going – he’s going to be might important in the 45 mins to come!

  70. smartalex says:

    Come on United!!

  71. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Viva John Terry!!!!!

  72. Saad says:

He just stuck his leg out in the way of a 200lb man running at 80% speed. Is there any wonder why Rafael gets injured so much??? Not smart at all.

  73. FletchTHEMAN says:

Nani on for Rafael. We are UNITED! That is just too good!!!!

  74. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Chelsea fans again showing they have no class. The boy is being carried on a stretcher and they are booing.

Fucking classless cunts, the lot of them.

  75. FletchTHEMAN says:

    Cards starting to show, Essien!!!!!
Chelsie seem really flustered by the traveling support

    VIVA JOHN TERRY!!!!!!!

  76. musvn says:

Evra has been troublesome since Drogba switching

  77. Natzca says:

most of chelsea’s fouls are petulant and just after United have stolen the ball from them

  78. Devil310 says:

Got a little too over excited the announcer there with Essien strike….what a troll

  79. FletchTHEMAN says:

20 minutest to go. I would like to see some fresh legs.
Maybe Berba and Scholes on to cut them to pieces.

  80. billybowlegs says:

see that bloke/idiot/twat/beaknosed cunt Andy Townsend? Is he a fookin Chelsea waller or what? fuckin` clueless cunt, sounds like he`s wanting chelsea to win even though he`s supposed to be non-biased….fuckin` dick, hope his nose catches a disease and falls off,the cunt.

  81. gerkeo says:

    Here comes the berb

  82. billybowlegs says:

    Berbagasm time!!!

  83. FletchTHEMAN says:

Wow, Chicho off berbs on. SAF must be tracking my posts ;)

  84. MyCowIsTheBest says:

let us be awed by berba

  85. FletchTHEMAN says:

Steady boys. 5 minutes! Come on U Reds!!!!!

  86. FletchTHEMAN says:

Evra!!!! Get stuck in laddddd!!!!! Come on UNITED!!!

  87. MyCowIsTheBest says:

    Come On United!!

  88. MyCowIsTheBest says:

Why cant we hold the ball for more than 10 seconds?

  89. billybowlegs says:

    penalty at stamford bridge….inevitable
    given by a bought ref….yes
    even when it`s not a foul…..yes
Fucked by a european ref at your own ground…..PRICELESS

  90. FletchTHEMAN says:

    UNNNNNIIITTTTTEEEDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  91. gerkeo says:

What a result, maybe we nought the ref with rameres pen shout

  92. matt says:

    YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

  93. gerkeo says:

    Bought not nought

  94. parryheid says:

What a difference a ref makes HaaaaHaaaa.

  95. Utd4life says:

Chelshite were missing their most influential player tonight..Martin Atkinson..Looks like Roman’s influence doesn’t extend to CL..Job half done lads..Lets finish it at OT..GGMU!!!!

  96. Toms says:

Holy crap we got lucky with evra.

  97. smartalex says:

Well done United! Away goal gives us an edge at Old Trafford. Bring it home, lads!
Also, well done for ending our winless run at the bridge.
    Come on United!

  98. Troy says:

Fucking right, Chelsea get shafted on a big decision. About time too.

  99. musvn says:

finally, lucky goes our way at the Bridge :) Happy to take 1-0 back to Old Trafford, but to be honest, it doesn’t make too much different to Chelsea

  100. Xyth says:

Ashame we did not get another goal! Anyway we should see this through now!!!!

  101. redrider says:

hahahahahahahaha… ladyboy ladyboy where have you been?
i’ve been to london to shit at the bridge.

  102. TheEvilDog says:

Fuck Stamford Bridge, United breaking records as usual. Justice on our side, after all their cheating victories karma strikes in their face. That could’ve easily been a pen, but who gives a fuck. FUCK YOU CHELSEA! Rooney is on fire, Carrick played really well also.

  103. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Breaking News: UEFA and European Referee Conspire to Gift United victory at the Bridge

It is by now common knowledge that Abramovich and his Chelsea army wanted English referee Martin Atkinson to be officiating the Champions League game. In fact, it is heard that in a move of desperation Abramovich even offered to bribe the top brass at UEFA to get his wish fulfilled. His efforts, however, proved futile as UEFA appointed one of their European referees for the game at Stamford Bridge.

The English Press is attacking UEFA for showing this clear sign that they are favoring United by appointing a fair referee to officiate the game between English Football’s top two sides. The F.A. have taken it upon them personally to enquire on the issue and take it up with UEFA and FIFA in their next meeting.

Meanwhile, Roman Abramovich is set to double his offer to UEFA to get Martin Atkinson to referee for the home game. We will let you know as we gain more information on this ongoing issue.

  104. mig78 says:

loved it when torres booked for diving. its long overdue!

  105. stpercival says:

Somewhere in London the universe is balancing itself out.

  106. Costas says:

Payback is a bitch isn’t it? Lets wait for next Tuesday before we get carried away though.

Evra’s was 95% a penalty I felt. I noticed that he got some of the ball in one of the replays. Nonetheless, Torres should have been off! So the ref got twm decisions wrong.

  107. Saad says:

Unimpressive from United in the 2nd half. They just couldn’t hold onto the ball. Kept giving it away and kept inviting Chelsea to attack. Why???

  108. parryheid says:

Would it round it of if Rooney wins his appeal jut imagine the vomit.

  109. nani4ever says:

Woooooosh! We really dodged a bullet right there, I don’t like our tacticts against strong teams, this is why we keep loosing to them we don’t keep the ball we chasing the ball and putting too much pressure on our defense, this happen all the time against them in the second half

  110. Balaji Sivaraman says:

On a more serious note, Ladyboy and Chelsea got exactly what they deserved – Nothing.

United were the better all around team in the game. Chelsea definitely got stuck in late on and could’ve scored a goal, but United’s defending was also far better as was our tactics. As far as the late foul is concerned, as much as anyone can argue, that was never a penalty from where the referee was. It was a 50-50 which you get on some days and you don’t on other days. But definitely not clear-cut as some of the decisions that have gone against us.

As far the team, the defense was rock solid again. VDS producing some stunning saves and earning an unwarranted yellow. Ferdinand looked like he had never been out. Carrick was definitely MOM for his outstanding performance. Nani did not offer much once he came on, but we were under the kosh when he was around, so it is not fair on him. Rooney looked lively and is hitting form for the business end of the season whereas Hernandez looked lost at times.

Overall, great result for us and the victory for deserved, not only for this performance, but for our past few performances. Unless, we produce the worst home display of the season, I think we are already through to the semi finals. Though as with all things United, it is never good to underestimate your opponent, so let us just see what happens next week. But I am more than confident of our chances now.

  111. Utd4life says:

Roman sends SOS to Martin Atkinson-”Mate, we need you for the 2nd leg..My boys fucked it up again”

  112. Chelsea fan says:

Nice professional performance from your side.I guess we need to buy some quality players in midfield and attack and replace some of our ageing stalwarts.I beleive you guys have won the tie.I believe we should have had a clear penalty at the end there.Just goes to show that you get your luck with these officials.

  113. Devil310 says:

Karma is a BITCH ain’t it? HAHAHA…finally some justice from all those bad calls against us.

However, must agree with everyone. Must have kept the ball. I feel that Giggs should have been replaced by Scholes too cool off the game. Unecessary streess I really.

    Either way, great result!

  114. billybowlegs says:

    @BALAJI
are you suggesting that chelsea are in some way trying to buy a win?
well you would only be of the same view as most of us on here as the FA are in iramabitches pockets.
    lol

  115. deadcandance says:

where are all the carrick haters now?

    where?

    fuckin’ where?!!

  116. Saad says:

I just hope we don’t get complacent thinking the semi-final spot is guaranteed simply because of the return leg being at Old Trafford. It is absolutely imperative that we score the first 2 goals in that leg.

  117. lil' k says:

@chelsea fans clear penalty??? yeaaahh……yeaaahhh……you all had no luck eh??? cant buy the referee as usual???

  118. Natzca says:

One more year Van Der Sar!

  119. Drogahnus says:

BWAHAHAHAHA!!! Eat it Chelsea!! No English ref, no penalty. What goes around, comes around, fools! United to the semis!

  120. redrider says:

    chelski fan

really now? hurts when the ref’s not on ur side doesn’t it?

  121. Balaji Sivaraman says:

@Saad, Having known United and SAF for more than half my life (which is not that long since I am young), I can guarantee that complacency is the last thing that will be on our minds. United get the first goal in the home tie and I can see Chelsea heads dropping below their shoulders. They don’t have the mental strength to bear that kind of a knockout blow.

  122. willierednut says:

Only half time, but a great result. Lets finish them off, at OT. That’s the best I’ve seen Carrick all season. Great ball to Giggs for the goal, as well. Rooney got some rough treatment from Chelsea’s players. They were obviously targeting him. Rio was different class. Sick of saying It, but he brings that composure to our defense and Vidic looks at ease, when he partners him. Maybe could’ve nicked another goal, but a great result, overall. ps Torres is a diving cunt!

  123. KingOfStretfordEnd says:

Evra’s one was almost a penalty. Ok it was. This result is great only for the fact that we’ve beat them at sb, it’s about time, and that ladyboy was yellow carded for diving( he should have been sent off! Together with the even more disgraceful dive in the first half). The tie is still is balance, it’s a deficit they still can overcome easily at OT. So if we focus and so the job next tues, then we celebrate. Great performances from Giggs, Rooney, Chicharito and Carrick and the back 2 as usual. Brilliant that Rio was back, never looked like he was away. Hope Rafael’s injury isn’t serious or anything.

  124. socratestee says:

When last did United win at Stamford Bridge? Hmmmm

  125. redrider says:

    saad
that’s why Fergie’s Fergie. i don’t think anyone’s gonna get this into their heads. the next tie is a different match altogether.

  126. Utd4life says:

Payback’s a bitch baby!!!!!What goes around, comes around..

  127. lil' k says:

@ Devil310: torres is a biT** :D he should have got a red card after obvious divings, and yes SHE is a bi*C*

  128. Saad says:

    @Balaji

Well, I dont know about Chelsea’s mental strength but I’ll settle for United keeping majority of the possession in BOTH halves of the return leg. If we do, United’s superior quality will prevail. If we dont, we’d be giving Chelsea a life-line.

  129. stpercival says:

@ Chelski Fan – Buy new players ? What about all of the stupendous prospects coming out of your academy- Ha, thats a laugh !!!!

  130. smartalex says:

A fair comment from Chelsea fan for a change. United clearly deserved the win.

  131. Utd4life says:

VDS was MOM for me just for that brilliant save..How the fuck are we gonna replace this guy???!!! I wouldn’t want to be in SAF’s shoes..

  132. Xyth says:

Fuck ABY media. They can’t stop talking about that fucking penalty!!!!!!!!!!

  133. Balaji Sivaraman says:

Also, I will say this again, from the referee’s position, there was no way he could’ve given a penalty for that. I am not suggesting it was the right decision but that it was closer than most of you are suggesting it was. The linesman had to make the call and even he did not have a clear view of that since from his angle, it could’ve looked like Evra had got the ball while it was Ramires who took it forward. The referee behind the goal could’ve made that call but he did not since he was the person who had the best view of the incident.

These kind of decisions can never be given unless you have replay involvement which is not going to happen for the forseeable future. Again, I thought it was a penalty but only from looking at the replay from the front-angle and referee’s don’t have that advantage. Anyways, it is just what we deserved after our last two games there, so nobody has any right to complain I am afraid.

  134. Xyth says:

    Sorry I meant ABU media!!!!

  135. Utd4life says:

The match at OT will be completely different..We are a fucking beast at home so I expect our lads to wrap up the tie with the minimum fuss unless you-know-who decides to officiate..

  136. Saad says:

I’m gonna risk everyone’s wrath here and say this.

I thought Giggsy was sloppy. Yeah, he had that awesome piece of brilliance that set up Rooney’s goal, but he made too many sloppy mistakes and wrong decisions with the ball at his feet. Really frustrating given the profile of the match.

Sometimes…just sometimes…we are reminded by performances like today that he is indeed 37 years old.

  137. Utd4life says:

@balaji..The evra tackle on Ramires is debatable..Sometimes they are given, sometimes they are not but it was by no means a clear cut penalty as some make it out to be..I thought the ref was quite fair when compared to that SOB Martin Atkinson..

  138. musvn says:

but from the lineman’s view on the opposite side, that was def. a penalty. I just think we were plain lucky

  139. willierednut says:

Thought the away support was top class.

  140. Kalps says:

    Na Na Naa Naaa
    Na Na Naa Naaa
    Wai ai aaai
    Man United..

    Na Na Naa Naaa
    Na Na Naa Naaa
    Wai ai aaai
    Man United..

That’s all that can be heard at Stamford Bridge

  141. Saad says:

Was Gary Neville amongst the traveling supporters tonight?

  142. denton davey says:

Isn’t it amazing when the referee is both strong AND fair. Great to see the Rent Boyz crying.

I had to endure Andy Townsend and some prat called Clive as the commentators – soooooo, one-sided it made me feel like King Eric listening to UK sport-talk radio.

  143. brisbanefan says:

Encouraging win by UTD. Fully deserved – much the better team.
Chelsea huffed and puffed but were easily outclassed.
    A few talking points:
On the 89th minute it looked like a penalty for Chelsea. Unfortunately for them nothing given. Justice was done for the non-penalty given against Smalling five weeks ago.
With a truly non-biased referee Chelsea found it hard going. They had much of the second but hardly threatened VDS.
Hernandez for £6m or Torres for £50m? No contest.
Torres looked totally disinterested. He made a mistake going to ‘Pool, has he realised he made a mistake going to Chelsea? I wonder if he regrets not going to UTD?

I expect UTD to wrap it up next Tuesday and go on to beat Schalke. A trip to Wembley to meet Barca may be on the cards.
Remember Barca have NEVER won in England.

  144. parryheid says:

What fucking penalty Evra clearly won the ball at least as I saw it much the same way All the Chelsea fans saw no penalties against them when we played them a couple of weeks ago.Cheeky bastards

  145. RedHarry4Life says:

God damn where is the f***ker Martin Atkinson when you need him?????????

  146. MG says:

    Where does one begin?

    Next Manchester United.

The shirt is a symbol of defiance

This club is a symbol of defiance

This history is a symbol of defiance.

If you throw shit at us – if you abuse us – if you ridicule us – if you tread on us

Together we will rise and stand up for our club.

    Next Manchester United.

  147. billybowlegs says:

    @chelsea fan
buy new players or buy some refs?? I haven`t got my reading glasses they were stolen by midgets at the pub while I was watching the match, they had dark blue shirts on, sneaky little fuckers they are….

  148. billybowlegs says:

    @chelsea fan
