I thought the game against Chivas was Saturday?? Read over on manutd.com that Hernandez may play Wednesday against the All Stars and is gonna play the first half for United and the second half for Chivas Friday. That’s really nice of Sir Alex to let him do that. Looking forward to the game later……gonna be chilling on the beach watching it and following the blog with the girls.

  17. Costas says:

Fabregas to follow Overmars, Hleb and Henry’s lead? I wonder if the same people that called us Real’s feeder club will do the same with Arsenal and Barcelona.

  18. Ulster Red says:

    costas
    van bronkhorst aswell?

  19. Linvoy says:

Hoping Obertan gets another run out tonight as he looks like he’s getting better with every game!

  20. Costas says:

    @Ulster Red

  21. aig alex is god says:

  40. Ulster Red says:

    not a great start united!!

  41. MG says:

    Close

Warren Barton just said “We call that third man running”

Like what the fuck is that – never heard of that one – indulge me Dear Costas : )

  42. Always Be Closing says:

Good frickin’ grief, what’s going on here? Time needed to settle or just inexperienced back four?

  43. TheRadLegion says:

    Gibson should stop eating burger.

  44. thereddevil says:

    this defending is truly awful!

  45. TheRadLegion says:

Smailing looks so tense and nervous. Not looking good

  46. cantona192 says:

  47. socratestee says:

  49. MG says:

Warren Barton knows Sir Alex – like he does

    Third man running again

The joys of pre season : )

  50. wathall says:

Gibson looks shocking . Scholes has no support in midfield

  51. Costas says:

    @MG

Don’t know what that means either mate. He probably learned that from his former intellectual player, Duncan Ferguson.

  52. TheRadLegion says:

Hurrington looks dangerous I mean literally.. It looks like he wants to smack every united players as he can

  53. zigoo says:

WE ARE BEING MURDERED BY A LEAGUE 2 SIDE!

  54. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    this refs a bit harsh

  55. rooney the new king says:

OMG is this ref so stiff he has too send a player off in a frendly, hey if this was the ref halland will be down too 3 players 1 1 a bit better

  56. rooney the new king says:

    well holland LOL damn spelling

  57. MG says:

    As cool as you like

Pre Season feet up – chilled drink – no sweat

    : )

  58. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

ruined this friendly with the sending off, its going to be a walk over now, no bloody exercise

  59. Dan says:

    lol. Idiot ref or what.

    Nice pen Berba….

    (Rafael looking shite tho….)

  60. Tonka Norris says:

Lol! Berbatov waits out the pre-pen shit talk then rolls it in the corner. What a guy!

  61. Dan says:

    wtf!? 2-1!

  62. MG says:

    No goal

Where the fuck is that goal line technology – damn it : )

  63. cantona192 says:

tis is pretty piss poor all round

  64. willierednut says:

    Sell them all.

  65. eddieTheRed says:

Was that over the line? Weird game this; our lads don’t look bothered; their lot look like Chelsea; the ref could an EPL ref the way he’s carrying on!

  66. Linvoy says:

This Ref is killing this game!

  67. zigoo says:

TBH WE HAVE BEEN RLY POOOR!
AND OUR GOL CAME FROM A PEN FROM OUR FIRST DECENT ATTACK! WE SHD BE LOOSING 3-0 ON HW THEY R PLAYING!

    2-1 WTF!!!!

THE THING THAT WORRIES ME IS THAT WEN FLETCH IS OUT THIS IS OUR MIDFIELD!!

  68. wathall says:

We only have Cleverley on the bench who could play in midfield in place of Gibson

  69. cantona192 says:

not sure either eddie, but wether or not it was over the line dosent matter. pre season is about fitness and performance and weve got neither…..

  70. MG says:

Where the fuck is that fat bastard Blatter

    That was no fucking goal

    I demand justice : )

  71. willierednut says:

Fitness yes, performance no. Thats the reason you see a lot of funny results in pre – season.

  72. Linvoy says:

Well I wasn’t expecting that! Ha! Thankgod it’s only preseason!

Wanna see bit more from Gibbo as was hoping it was his time to step up! Back 4 look uncomfortable and in particular de laet who seems to get wrong side of defender!

Sure SAF will fire them up at HT!

  73. Costas says:

Agree with willie. Sell them all. And Fergie on top.

  74. Jeffrey says:

Would love to see Obertan instead of Giggs

  75. trevor says:

hadn’t been watching the first half! by the sounds of it i haven’t missed much!

    just seen the replays!

    Berba took a nice pen!

both of their goals where good!, Havent seen a close up of the one that was near the line but why not give them the benefit of the doubt!

Give our boys something to play for now!

  76. cantona192 says:

makes our lack of transfer activity look even more worrying…..

  77. willierednut says:

    Linvoy – It’s a friendly mate.

  78. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

calm people, well win this, bag of shite

  79. cantona192 says:

off topic, but are we getting new away and 3rd kits this year 2, or jst changing sponsors on current ones?

  80. sean says:

i aint wotchin but i can imagine hw shit smallin n gibson cos dats wot dey r.

  81. Linvoy says:

Willie mate I know… I’m not panicking! Maybe it didn’t come across I’m my msg there but I was being lighthearted! Just be nice to see em switch it on a bit as I’m knackered and wanna sleep ha!

Sure we will win this and even if we don’t it’s more about fitness!

  82. man united says:

agree to sell thenm all .we need ozil o thick is fergie. he have no creative midfiedler. gibson. is fat to slow.

  83. Linvoy says:

Just been reading at half time that Ireland has had a bust up with Mankini again! See it’s already started… There’s no way he’s gonna keep all them players and egos happy! Be interesting to see how many games Teves gets this year!

  84. eddieTheRed says:

is it my internet link or has Raphael put on 2 stone?

  85. trevor says:

Tell you what lads, i just love whatching scholes, he is a little wizzard!

  86. trevor says:

Christ, my stream closed and when i opened up again i have american com!

    Christ this is poor!

  87. trevor says:

    classic commentary!

“sir Alex Ferguson has sent 3 substitutions up from between the bench to see if they can send some spark into the team”

    What the fuck!

  88. trevor says:

    Next!

“this will allow change in personnel bringing on these substitutions!”

  89. trevor says:

    and!

“got over the to of it for some power on that right hand off”

    (it was a diving save!)

  90. nic says:

I hope this performance will prompt Sir Alex to make a midfield signing

  91. Slim says:

i think we should keep tom clerverly

  92. nic says:

omg.. second stringers are second stringers.
im worried for the quality of our depths.

  93. Dan says:

    Piss poor – pre-season friendly or not….

  94. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

not too happy with that result seems like a few players didnt have confidence in their team mates. A good run out non the less just fucking embaressing

  95. Costas says:

Bad result, but at this point fitness is the top priority. Maybe Fergie will have a change of heart about the loan moves.

  96. trevor says:

lads it was a good work out! What more do you expect?

  97. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    @trevor
Yeah its a good work out im with you there, not all is lost as it were. But you can get a good work out behind closed doors. It still reads as a manchester united loss and that always cuts deep with me

  98. curtis says:

Not great but i hope SAF will decide to keep cleverly and welbeck they look lively even through the frustration that comes with young players
But I’m worried about Smalling he looks lost, I know its early but the lad cant seem to stop lumping the ball forward aimlessly
fabio also looked good coming on today along with welbeck and tom

  99. Always Be Closing says:

“Hayabusi didn’t see Obertan coming on his back”

    Phenomenal commentary!

  100. eddieTheRed says:

Some of that was shameful; terrible passing; snatching at half – chances; shirking physical challenges; I don’t buy this “America’s too hot in the summer” lark; doesn’t stop millions of UK tourists from spending 16 hours a day walking around Walt Disney World, does it?

Kudos to Kansas; they’re no more American than I am (more Mexican, I think) but they know how to win!

  101. davidwilson says:

I have been shocked at how bad Man Utd have been in this tour. The two MLS teams that they have played are two of the worst teams in MLS.

Berbatov, Obertan, Welback have been the few bright spots. Smalling and Evans have looked slow and the twins have not been much better.

Since when does ManU get overrun in midfield? Scholes and Gibson have looked off the pace which is really worrisome with the start of the season just a couple of weeks away.

  102. bruce thomas says:

People didn’t travel halfway across America to see “a good work out”. Not that it was a good work out, anyway. Piss poor? It was fucking shite all round. The Glazers are killing United. FFS we need to buy some quality!!

  103. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    @bruce thomas
even if we had of bought quality they wouldnt have been playing today as they would still be on holiday. This is always a day for the youngsters and veterans, just a shame they didnt gel.

  104. Dela says:

Very boring game. Some expressing actual concern above though, based on that game? are you serious???. In fairness, the majority of the team was either old (for players), young or just not first team players. We have no vida, no ferdinand, no rooney, no evra, no valencia etc. even Nani is only back after injury, and even though its against U.S. team, its an away game. It doesn’t mean anything anyway and a win in that game means 1000x more to Kansas City Wizards than it ever would to United (probably a large amount of United fans have no idea it was even being played). Even if we had the normal season first team, Fergie wouldn’t use them in a fixture like that. It’s good for young / inexperienced players to taste defeat too, btw. They learn from their mistakes and how to cope with defeat.

Disappointing result sure, but does it make me feel in any way concerned about the health of the overall United squad? Absolutely not.

  105. Los Angeles Red says:

All Stars and Chivas will be a lot tougher than KC

  106. GoatinaUnitedShirt says:

    @dela
    true, just hurts

  107. aig alex is god says:

What the fuck am i hearing,we lost??

  108. jellybean says:

aren’t some peopel overreacting just a tad? and whoever said that the heat isn’t an excuse is rather thick, i have to say. none of the boys are used to being in those conditions much less PLAYING in them. the heat and the humidity is hard on them, but more than that, it’s not like this team is our first XI!!!! even freakin barca lost to spurs on their preseason after winning the treble. it doesn’t mean shit. obviously it’s normal to be disappointed because we always want Utd to win, but a pre season loss is no reason to be “worried” or say that we dont have enough quality or some other crap.

  109. MG says:

    Morning Ladies and Gentlemen

We lost the game to a goal that should not have been

Where have you heard that before?

I hope that was the beginning and the end of our bad luck – I’d rather it come now preseason and not against the likes of Chelsea/Bayern

The team was unbalanced – some of the comments are harsh – do not go out of your way to have a go at the gaffer – the whole foundation of Manchester United is built on youth

If we start abandoning those principles – we start abandoning the Manchester United way

We maybe in a jiffy with money at the moment but so are all the other clubs apart from City – but you have to hold firm in what you believe – the players are all there – they just have to show it that they are worthy of the shirt

As said earlier – Wayne Rooney said in an advert that no one owns the shirt – it has t be earned

Same application to us fans – thats the true barometer of loyalty to our club

  110. einsi01 says:

Doesn’t matter if it’s a friendly or a practice match, United are always suppose to win it. We were poor in all aspects of the game, and keep in mind that Kansas scored a goal man down that we couldn’t match. Yeah, yeah, the goal shouldn’t have been allowed, but the minute we complain about decisions like that, we are undermining our dominance.

Poor game by United, and quiet embarrassing.

  111. bigjoe77 says:

fergie has put this loss down to lack of experience…the defence was not good enough diouf missed to many chances fergies words….lets face it fergie kansas city are not a good team and their 2nd goal scorer kamara was voted the worst miss on open goal in football.this is the team fregie thinks thats gonna win the title back we all no its not.time to stop jokin around and kiddin yourself alex u need to buy at least 2 players

  112. bruce thomas says:

So, what say you now, SAF? Shortly you will face 19 teams 10 times stronger than grandly-named Kansas Wizards (who used their magic to make United disappear.). So your so-called young squad is OK?? Everybody except you knows Gibson, Diouf, Macheda, Rafael are not Pemier League material. And Giggs, Neville, Scholes, Van Der Sar are well past their sell-by dates and have to be replaced. Hargreaves and Ferdinand will never be the players they were.

Bloody hell — we’d have been better with a jar of Marmite and Lassie in midfield.

I’m sick of you and Gill lying for the Glazers. You can’t write this off as a pre-season work out. If we can’t buy players AGAIN, we’re going into decline sooner rather than later. So at least do us the dignity of helping us get rid of the parasite Glazers. Then maybe we can start to rebuild. You’re starting to embarass us.

  113. Rai says:

Our ‘fans’ are embarrassing, it’s a fuckin pre season match chill out

  114. willierednut says:

Rai – 100% spot on, talk about going ott.

  115. Dela says:

    @bruce thomas

“So your so-called young squad is OK?? ” –> Did you, along with every other doubter, say the same stupid shit in 1999?

“Everybody except you knows Gibson, Diouf, Macheda, Rafael are not Pemier League material.” –> And everybody except you knows that when there are no injuries in first team, most of them barely get a run in Premier League….

“And Giggs, Neville, Scholes, Van Der Sar are well past their sell-by dates and have to be replaced.” –> How many games did you actually watch last year????

“Bloody hell — we’d have been better with a jar of Marmite and Lassie in midfield.” –> HAHAHAHAHAHA…. wonderful comedy.. but don’t quit the day job… you know, as a world class coach???

“I’m sick of you and Gill lying for the Glazers.” –> Yet another one-trick-pony supporter… Glazer this, Glazer that… if it wasn’t for glazers, United would win every game 10-0, right????

“You can’t write this off as a pre-season work out. If we can’t buy players AGAIN, we’re going into decline sooner rather than later.” –> Umm, it WAS a pre-season work out, that’s what pre-season is for…. and if he had spent lets say €40 million or something and managed to snap up David Villa… he WOULDNT HAVE PLAYED LAST NIGHT….

“So at least do us the dignity of helping us get rid of the parasite Glazers. Then maybe we can start to rebuild. You’re starting to embarass us.” –> No mate, just YOU!. The rest of us who have actually been proper supporters of our team for years know that Sir Alex is the absolute best asset Manchester United has and potentially ever had. It is people like you, who speak with such ignorance of the past 20 years, that embarrass United fans. You know when other team’s fans say United fans are all glory hunters? They are talking about YOU and your fellow whiners.

  116. Drew Vader says:

“Rafael not prem quality” You sir are havin a laugh

  117. rohitvarkey says:

    @dela
    well said!

  118. Shimo says:

Go back to previous tours where we’ve lost games or drawn games against teams we should have beaten – like the Kaiser Chiefs and then gone on to win the league that same year.

No doubt game was poor and for Wednesday they’ll have to get heads out of asses and play better but, the game is hardly end of the world. Main objectives – fitness for everyone (achieved through a trying game in hot conditions) and experience for the youth (again achieved – they can learn a lot more from a loss/hard game than just walking over some random Hangzou Greentown team.

  119. JD says:

Are you feeling okay bruce thomas
