The only positive from this result is that at least fergie Knows if we font win the league, CL or FA, then we will go trophyless.

We won the league last saturday and now on wednesday we are in crisis.

Obertan and bebe should be given free release,

    i say wot an idiot!

like some1 said west ham fought for it! we didnt!

dont think we liked the snow to much should of called it off like last season lol

not lookin forward to work 2moz i work a 5min drive away from the council house and i’m 1 of the few reds in my work place not good!

Some terrible performances all over the pitch, and from some of the younger players its kind of forgivable, but there was enough experience out there to win the game.

Fletcher and Ando disappointed me the most, ok both not long back from injury but after Ando ran the show on Saturday he looked disinterested today.

Don’t know what’s going on with Fletch, completely overran in the middle and gave away so many soft balls – as someone stated earlier, bar one great pass he is back to pre 2006 form.

In the midst of euphoria of the superb performance on Saturday it did strike me that our best performance of the season coincided with him not being involved.

Traditionally, we get a hammering(no pun) every now and then. You take your medicine and get over it. I just hope that today wasn’t an indication that our away form will cintinue to suffer.

  6. Red Neville says:

Evans tries to play without aggression or determination, which is impossible for a central defender. When we sold Piquet and kept Evans it boggled my mind then – and it still does.

This tonight has been coming for a long time this season, Sunderland should have thrashed us, so should Villa, Wigan were the better team till the red cards. We have only played well against a Blackburn team who had 7 players out injured and who’s game plan went out the window when they conceded in the first minute – then capitulated – which is strange because teams usually only do that against Chewsea.

the london media will have a field day with this result……and we all know what talk shite will be saying.
think evans needs to go out on loan to get his confidence back, god knows whats going on with fletcher,
think anders was pick of the bunch in what was a shocking display.
we will move on from this and shut up the media!!

  8. DJG says:

Anyhoo, Good luck and I hope you beat blackpool for us after we just held Chelsea for you.

In fact give them a good walloping please.

willierednut @ 21:57: “Did people really think we’d go unbeaten all season in all competitions?”

    Apparently.

For me, there were two good things to emerge from this humiliation. First, Anderson, just plain Darren Fletcher (lost soul(, and Ryan Giggs all got 90 minutes.

And, second, Fabio and Bebe, in particular, now have a better idea of how much improvement is going to be required;. In Fabio’s case, his strength is suspect and he was bullied by Luis Boa Morte; in Bebe’s case, he could do with looking around rather than just pile-driving forward. But these two guys are young kids and we’ll have to call it a learning experience for them and Gabriel Obertan.

But, what can one say about Jonny Evans and John O’Shea; they were both pathetic.

Let’s not forget that the mighty, all-conquering Barcelona lost to newly-promoted Hercules at the Nou Camp a while back. Shit happens, Time to move on to the next EPL game and put this one in a very dark corner of the memory bank.

  10. fergie is the boss says:

Red Neville – dont play fm, because pique wanted to go back to barcelona. ferdinand and vidic at the time were at the peak of their powers and they are now again, so it made sense to sell him. Evans in his first season was sensational so in all it was right to sell him. do not be captain hindsight

  11. Wednesdayx says:

    Well… I guess I should be glad that I didn’t watch the game :(

  12. willierednut says:

Arijc – So true mate. We got a tanking, it happens lads. It’s how we respond, that’s what the boss always says and I believe we will against Blackpool. Jonny had a stinker tonight, but far better CD have had worse games than that. The lad like Berbatov, is a confidence player and bashing the fuck out of him, won’t help one bit.

  13. obertanthenewstar says:

    @tomo

u being serious mate? ando was the only one trying to make things happening.. he did not look disinterested one bit mate.. was impressed with ando to be honest… giggs and fletcher were shocking.. fabio and bebe had poor games also.. obertan tried but couldnt get anywhere…

    @costas

mate did u not see us crossing the ball into the box time after time.. but west ham did something called defending.. something jonny evans doesnt seem to know about… the ball will come into the box.. its impossible to stop it… but when it comes in.. that means a automatic goal fuck me jonny evans was shocking cant belive ur actually trying to justify his defending

also.. p.i.g just showed us why fergie bought lindegaard… pig was shocking… first goal he came and then stopped… basically a open goal for spector.. shocking keeping.. indecisive… just like bennie foster…. hopefully anders is much better.. we can only hope….

  14. Red Neville says:

    @ fergie is the boss

Sensational? that’s a bit strong. I dont remember him ever being that. Ultimately we let Piquet go to accommodate Evans – Although as you say these things are a little bit easier to say with hindsight when things go wrong.

  15. Costas says:

    @obertanthenewstar

Not defending him. I said that he didn’t have a good game. But this is a team game and in my opinion, he didn’t get the proper protection from those around him either.

  16. fergie is the boss says:

Red Neville – pique said on record he wanted to go back to barcelona, it had nowt to do with accomadating evans. in his first season evans was our second best defender behind vidic, played a big part of uniteds defesive record of 2008/09 season. The milan clubs all were interested in evans in february march time

  17. willierednut says:

Pique wanted to go, he’s a barca fan. Jonny is a United fan, not a difficult choice.

  18. RedScot says:

@ Willie exactly as did Ronaldo. support the players we have that support United

  19. RedHarry4Life says:

If the kids think they have a chance well mates they have blown it big time.

    Pig – pretty crap.

Fabio at fault for 2 goals – was scratching his balls while ambling out to the wing just couldnt be arsed to try to cut out the cross for the third goal.

Smallling for such a huge guy is pretty much a wimp. defensively he is suspect, a helluva lot to learn.

Evans was pure crap all night long. Along with his buddy Fabio was at fault for goals 3 & 4. Will need a long time out of the team to buld some kind of confidence.

O’shea ambled and strolled around all night was mainly asleep most of the time pathetic.

Headless chicken Orbertan – looked like he hadn’t a clue what to do. got the ball ran around with it did nothing all evening. didnt see 1 cross he put in all night.

Ando did look like he could be arsed chased harried but didnt control the midfield at all.

Fletcher was he still injured? appeared to be as he didnt move at all

Giggs – well fuck me pass to another team mates shithead you should know how.

Question were Giggs, Fletcher and O’shea all suffering from a virus? Played like it. Should have had Brown on from the start

Bebe by god is he a rough diamond. Fergie will have to be polishing that for a while. Doesnt look as promisning as CR7 or nani when they 1st came but they were hardly world beaters back then.

Chicharito – he was the only one all night that did ok along with Ando had one chance all evening and got to the header no service at all. I felt sorry for him playing in such a shit team.

Lets hope as fergie says that they learn a lesson and 1 of them kicks the shite outta Boa morte the next time. watch that fucker every time he plays against United he really gets stuck in. Should have got booked for his assault on Fabio in the 1st half
