If you can’t watch this game you can try this live streams:

    http://redlog.pl/2009/12/08/wideo-z-meczu-vfl-wolfsburg-manchester-united/#live

(try stream with huge play button – it’s en skysports!)

    UWS!

  2. Superhans says:

the pitch looks horrible. it would be better to play on a 3rd generation plastic pitch.

  3. Costas says:

Fergie is truly the master! No one expected 3-5-2. And i have just heard that if CSKA win at Besiktas, we finish first even if we lose. It will be 3 teams on level points and in this case you take the Besiktas results out of the equation. So the table would read:

    United 7
    Wolfsburg 6
    CSKA 4

  4. Gandalf says:

Michael owen gets a header in!

On a different note, the da silva twins do get injured a lot, don’t they.

  5. Costas says:

Yes Gandalf unfortunately they do. They are still 18-19 so maybe it’s a matter of their body getting used to the pace of the English game.

  6. King Eric says:

Costas – Hi mate. United are on ten points. Like you say Fergie IS the man. Played well. Dzeko who? Get in Owen. Play him and he WILL score goals.

  7. portugueseprincess says:

I can see us scoring one more goal and keeping a clean sheet. Come on United!

  8. Costas says:

@King Eric: Hi. My standings didn’t include the Besiktas games that the 3 sides play. This is what will determine who finished where in case all 3 teams share the same point. Meaning that CSKA and Wolfsburg win their games. Hopefully we will hang on though!

  9. portugueseprincess says:

It had to be a header…

  10. kel says:

I like to know who is playing on the right wing? Park is playing right back but there is no one to play in front of him. He have to move up and down which leads to us letting in the first goal. Welbeck playing forward? Gibson right wing? Put Valencia in front of Park will be better.

  11. portugueseprincess says:

We started the second half really badly. Come on United!

  12. kel says:

By the way, Nani on the left wing is good. Didn’t lose a single ball and assist for the first goal. Good comeback.

  13. portugueseprincess says:

Kel, he did lose the ball at least once. Before his assist he had been quite frustrating to watch. Hopefully he will do better.

  14. portugueseprincess says:

Dear me, I’m so close to having a heart attack. Carrick and Evra, I love u guys:) .

  15. portugueseprincess says:

    Owennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! Yeahhhhhhhhhhh

  16. portugueseprincess says:

That was fucking great from Obertan!

  17. Gandalf says:

Great skill and setup play by Obertan and easy finish for Owen. 2-1 Utd.

  18. sprite says:

are they singing “who the fuck are manunited?”

  19. Red Army says:

Magical wing play by Obertan there. Micky in the right place yet again.

    Vintage United goal.

  20. portugueseprincess says:

Hopefully Owen gets a hat trick. Fingers crossed.

  21. portugueseprincess says:

    Awwwww that was close Owen

  22. rooninho says:

owen should’ve got the hat trick, so close!

    come on united!

  23. portugueseprincess says:

    Owennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  24. rooninho says:

    OWEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. portugueseprincess says:

    What a great goal!!!!

  26. Red Army says:

    Congratulations Michael Owen.

  27. Gandalf says:

3-1, must say I didn’t expect nor dare think this result.

  28. Park's Dog's Dinner says:

OOOOWWWWEEEENNNNNN!!!! What now for the doubters!?!?!

    Come on UNITED!!

  29. portugueseprincess says:

I’m having a little party to celebrate Owen’s first hat trick :)

  30. rooninho says:

    ….he hates scousers!!!!!

    @sprite

if that’s what they’re singing, the know who manchester united are now!

  31. irwinisalegend says:

    Great finish by OWEN!!!!

  32. portugueseprincess says:

In Sir Alex we trust. To play with one defender and win 3-1…this is Manchester United.

  33. rooninho says:

cheers portugueseprincess, that’s a great idea!

  34. Tonybee says:

    WELL THAT’S THAT THEN……

  35. Xyth says:

Well done lads. This was an immense performance.
This is what Champions are made of!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Scousers, eat your heart out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. Ajo Paul says:

What a lovely night both the manutd no. 7s score.. ronaldo’s 2 and owens maverick hatricks..

  37. Gaffer says:

    Congratulations lads! Well done.

  38. Doghouse says:

    Are you watching Merseyside?

Michael Owen, living proof that price and value are not always linked. What a great result for a massively depleted team.

  39. kel says:

    @portugueseprincess
I guess he did well tonight. Looking at him is better than a few weeks ago. At least he is less frustrating than the past.
On another note, OWEN Scores!!! A pity for the opponents. They got a chance to draw and yet now they lost. Carrick and Fletcher is brilliant at the back. Anderson rules the midfield!!! Owen rules the front. Obertan moment of magic change the game. After Valencia and Obertan comes in, the team change. Play more fluent and looks more threats on attack. Well done. Look on to Villa!!!

  40. berbatunday says:

    thanks radzio

  41. Park's Dog's Dinner says:

Now I’ve seen it all, a GERMAN running onto the pitch!haha
What next? A full scale riot in a Tibetan Monestery??!!

Squashed the Gerry champs 1 – 3, with 1 defender! Lets hear them talk of Chelsea’s “strength in depth” squad now…

    Fuck Stan

  42. Moneesh says:

    OWEN!!!!!!!!

  43. hustler says:

    fletcher = united’s new dominant ball-playing centerback?

  44. kel says:

Oh yah. Owen scores 3 goals which we buys for free. See that banitez. Haha!!! I’m the most happy for Owen. Been supporting him since he come in.

  45. Fze123 says:

What other fucking team would concede one, score 3, in germany, with a makeshift ‘defence’, and top the CL group, upon losing the best player in the world?????

    That’s why we’re champions. We’ll never die.

  46. portugueseprincess says:

@Ajo Paul, celebrating Real’s win are you? Seriously???

  47. portugueseprincess says:

@Kel, yeah he did ok today. I just wish is decision making was better. But hopefully he will improve that.

  48. rooninho says:

let’s see, that’s 4 champions league goals that michael owen scored for united so far in this campaign.

and how many champions league goals does tevez have at city this year….?

    oh, that’s right!

    never mind.

  49. Fze123 says:

If we play this same team against Villa I can guarantee you we will be capable of winning against them. Carrick-Fletch, new defence partnership?

  50. Costas says:

Fantastic! Great job by the manager and the lads. Couldn’t be happier! This was our best Ch.League performance since the game at the Emirates.

So the first batch of potential opponents is in: Bayern,Milan and Porto. Tomorrow we will get some easier opponents i hope. Like Olympiacos for example. ;)

PS Congrats to our Cypriot brothers APOEL

  51. JD says:

away from home, 14 players injured, only 1 defender avail, german champions… that result on paper is immense. Well done Fergie and the lads.

Can we get a obertan start soon.. he’s mouthwatering

  52. cantona192 says:

aaaarrrggghhh, the only time i have ever wanted the leeds scum to win…

  53. rubito says:

Yeeeesssssssssssssssss i´m so chuffed for the weakened team especially for Owen….well done lads!!!!

  54. pondave says:

Good result, Fletch and Carrick did well considering the situation they were in. But still looked like midfielders playing in defence! I dont think rio, vida, evans, brown, neville, o’shea have anything to worry about!

  55. stretford972 says:

you couldn’t make that shit up. Loved that from obertan for number 2. Nani got to go, what a bag of wank

  56. cantona192 says:

so glad for fletcher finaly getting the plaudits he deserves, a performance like that out of posistion proves the point… DARREN FLETCHER FOOTBALL GENIUS

  57. Costas says:

In our 3 man defence, a special mention must be made to Pat Evra. He was outstanding and very disciplined. Despite the injuries, i think it’s obvious that United play with a different swagger about them in the last few weeks. Hopefully it will continue against Villa.

  58. rooninho says:

sir alex ferguson walks on water!

i know it’s been said a zillion times before, but the man is a genius!

  59. Gandalf says:

Ok, is it right that Fergie has said both Rooney and Berba are injured and doubtful for Villa? If so, may I say WTF is going on at Old Trafford in terms of injuries to our important players.

Great moment from today’s match with the German fan on the pitch talking/complaining to the players. Brilliant.

  60. Superhans says:

yyiipiiee. Great result. and no new injuries. that assist from Obertan was world class. gooo Owen. i think another beer is in order, to celebrate.

  61. portugueseprincess says:

@Costas, I totally agree with you. I gave special awards for effort to Carrick and Fletcher but Evra…Evra is just amazing.

  62. Costas says:

@Gandalf: Fergie did say that, but i think Rooney will probably make it. And if anything, i think Owen proved tonight that he deserves more time on the pitch.

Also, i think Scholesy was immense in keeping posession and breaking down their rhythm.

  63. Fze123 says:

Owen and Obertan deserve a start in the league. Also, is it true they were unbeaten at home in this competition? Did we end their unbeaten run?

  64. cantona192 says:

@costas, totaly, a man of the match performance for the captain to take home!! (i know owen will get it, but i think Evra deserves it for a powerful display)

  65. portugueseprincess says:

That German fan made my day. I laughed so hard. And he was so calm about it, like: ” Come on guys, wtf was that?” hahahahahahaha

  66. Mikael says:

This was a fucking awesome performance!

It was a good move to play 3-5-2 and Evra really had to try hard not to bombard forward ;o)
This weekend I really hope we’ll have at least 1 cb back for villa… I think they’ll be much harder.

Owen was superb. Good to see Nani back but he’ll really have to work on that decision making… great assist though, really superb. Obertan is a new supersub ;o) Too bad Welbeck didn’t get a goal… he needs it.

    Bring on Villa!!!

  67. Altonian says:

Seems some people are getting a bit carried a way. It was a great result considering the circumstances but our best performance since Arsenal? We could of quite easily lost had they taken chances.

Great game for Owen, hopefully give him that bit of extra confidence. Evra, Carrick and Fletcher were brilliant. Midfield worked well, wasn’t overly impressed by Park or Nani (good cross for the goal but besides that yet again very inconsistent at getting a final ball in or getting past his man).

  68. berbatunday says:

@Fze they’ve only played 3 games at home in this competition! so yes in a way we did end their unbeaten run!

  69. Gotta hate tiny tears says:

Ronaldo top scorer with 6 dzeko krasic and Owen second with 4

  70. Xyth says:

We want the Spanish fascists next.

  71. rooninho says:

    agree with everybody on paddy!

great to see him wearing the captain’s armband.

    stand up for captain evra!!!!

  72. pondave says:

Great ball from nani for the 1st, but apart from that kept running down blind alleys and into defenders, so frustrating when we know he can produce moments of magic.

I wouldnt be upset at all if he was away in Jan tbh.

  73. Gandalf says:

Thanks Costas. I hope at least Wayne makes it at Villa.

Yeah, I must say that Owen’s pace today has surprised me. I like the way Utd are playing since the Chelsea game, I think the unity and team spirit of playing against 12 men [+ the ref] is showing [GOD BLESS DARREN FLETCHER]. Overall display and consistency from the team has been very good and long may it continue.

Oh and Pat Evra as captain – loving it, what a player.

  74. musvn says:

Im pleased with Nani today. He looks mature particular in this game. It seems like his ambitious to do incredible things prevents his progress. So slow down a little bit like today and you’ll be fine, Nani! :)
Congratulation, Owen! This is a typical Owen that we’ve waiting for :D

  75. Costas says:

@Altonian: Is there a Ch.League game this season that United played better at? In both Besiktas games we struggled to create openings. In Moscow we cancelled each other out, but again we struggled to carv them open. And in the 2 home games against CSKA and Wolfsburg we gave away soft goals, giving ourselves a mountain to climb. And in all 5 of those games we didn’t have the injuries we had for this one. Given the circumstances, i truly felt that tonight was out best performance.

  76. Superhans says:

on another note guys…. kutzack looked pretty good.. again. had no chance with the goal, and his kicking was allright. ready to be first choice next year? (im not sure myself) but he has certainly taken his chance these past weeks. and Ben Foster didnt.

  77. berbatunday says:

plus kuszcszak is our PIG and oh he’s pig!
only that he has this illuck of always conceding though not his faults!

  78. Costas says:

    @portugueseprincess:

The German fan, but above all, the stadium announcer were hillarious. For a moment there i thought we were at a night club!

  79. catotraa says:

I wouldn’t dare to dream of a result like this with the squad we got atm, concerns of defenders went way to my head. But again, Fergie proved me wrong! Class players do things like that, playing CM all their life, and just like that slip right into the CD role. Great job from Michael, Darren and Ji-Sung today! Also Evra realy put his shift in, as always! class player.

Bit to many wrong adressed passes today, but who the fuck gives a shit when anderson proves his potential, nani puts in a improved display (though it couldnt get worse xD), little mickey claims a hat trick for manchester united and gabriel obertan dazzles the world, and especially those two wolfburgdefenders with one of the greatest assist ever seen by men!

AS THE REDS GO MARCHING ON ON ON!

PS. I did a samba at the pub after Obertans assist! Whole crowd around me stod clapping

  80. portugueseprincess says:

@Costas, hahahahahaha I completely forgot about the announcer. Way to get egg on your face,eh? :)

  81. Alpha_RS says:

Apparently 2 CSKA Moscow players have failed a dope test after the United game at Old Trafford. Heard this on Radio 5 Live.

Perhaps Wolfsburg will be through after all?

  82. Tony Starks says:

So so proud of the team today, we rode our luck at times, but what a result! Didn’t expect that in the wildest dreams – how foolish was I to underestimate my own team!

  83. rooney the new king says:

I should have known united were gonna play 352. but I am so annoyed 100/1 on owen getting a hatrick that could have been extra cash in my pocket arghh. but what a bargain owen has become just like solkjaer a free transfer and he gets a CL hatrick. obertan did more in 15 minutes than nani did most of the game except for the first goal nani set up for owen.

  84. Costas says:

@portugueseprincess : We have a few clowns like that in Greek stadiums too. The problem is that they are so excited when the home team scores, even if it’s a consolation goal! Imagine your team making the score 1-4 and having this guy as the announcer.

It’s time like this when i like the Anfield announcer. He has the same grave voice all the time. lol.

  85. King Eric says:

Immense performance from the lads. Seven goals now for the season for Owen. He could well be in double figures by Xmas. His hat trick was top drawer. Fletch, Carrick and Evra were outstanding. Genius of Fergie to go with three at the back with Carrick in a Beckanbeur type role! Captain Pat. Superb. Scholes was fantastic tonight, dictating play and controlling the midfield. The team have shown what desire and determination they have got never mind team spirit. They will take some beating this season. You only have to look at the line up. I thought we would get hammered to be honest. No other team in European football could have pulled a performance like that out the hat with SUCH a depleted team, not Real, the rentboys or Barca. Superb display. Our away support was fucking great. That’s all you could hear is United’s end. Meanwhile the rentboys draw at home with a pretty much full strength team against the local bakers and butchers. Essien off with a hamstring. Lets see what the abu’s have to say now. Andy Grey sounded gutted that we had won. Wouldn’t give us fuck all credit.

u.n.i.t.e.d. united are the team for me.

    We’ll NEVER die.

  86. Costas says:

@Alpha_RS : Hi. Martin Tyler commented on this. I think UEFA will decide on the matter next week, but it could go either way. If it was just one player, then the blame goes to the individual. But two players? Maybe UEFA will feel that CSKA are responsible too.

  87. Ulster Red says:

brilliant performance united, fucking brilliant, thought carrick and fletcher wre great 1 or 2 times of bad positioning but you have to expect that.scholes anderson and gibson played the ball around really well and well what about wee mickey? imense, fuck england michael your a red!!!! obertan’s skill for the goal was superb
    @king eric
told you last night either a shocking or great performance mate!! just hope leeds win in extra time now it would make a perfect night
also what about cska, bit dodgy there, wolfsburg could still go through, bayern and ac milan potential next round opponents

  88. Rob the Red says:

Leeds scum it is then! they are winning 3-1 10 minutes left.

  89. Stand up for the Red Army says:

You can NEVER write the Red Army off.

  90. portugueseprincess says:

@Alpha_RS, yeah it looks like Wolfsburg could go through after all. UEFA will hels a meeting before the draw to decide what happens. Shame really.

  91. Ulster Red says:

    leeds 3-1 up…yeeooo

  92. Bebeto says:

Marching on together… but, y’know, it took extra-time in a replay against a Conference side.

I can’t wait for our reserves to batter them.

  93. rooney the new king says:

@King Eric we have the english Beckanbeur in carrick, but christ I hate that keys ronaldo is on fire yea right. and instead of talking about how united are getting through this insanly injury crisis, they only talked about owen because of england and the world cup that really pissed me off, can anyone tell me why this richard keys still has a job he is rubbish.

  94. Rob the Red says:

4-1…. 3 goals in the last 12 minutes, Kettering don’t deserve that.

  95. rooney the new king says:

leeds 4 1 up now so its leeds now.

  96. mikekelly12 says:

Loving Micky Owens hat trick, but above all I love the fact we’ve stuck two fingers up at all those fuckers who doubted us and who whoped we’d finish second with a defeat to Wolfsburg. Micky Owen level on goals with our two “potential targets” Dzeko and Krasic. No disrespect to our makeshift defence, who performed admirably, but any player worth his salt in Europe should be dismantling makeshift back fours. Also thought Tomasz Kuszczak had another good game…. We’ll Never Die!!!

  97. redsoul says:

yea we have proof them wrong again wit an empty house we won away but d rent boyz wit a full house fail 2 win.i don’t think i even know were d boyz from fc apoel came.GLORY GLORY GLORY … MAN UTD 1 LOVE 2 ALL

  98. Rob the Red says:

    Kettering certainly don’t deserve that………..Shame!
@Rooney: Correction they used to have a German Carrick!!

  99. rooney the new king says:

can anyone believe it, owen was odds on 100/1 to get a hatrick tonight did anyone bet on that

  100. Costas says:

By the way, nice to see the UNited team full of goals again. 51 in 25 games. Not bad at all.

  101. redsoul says:

kutsack was superb 2day oh my captain fantastic(evar).OBERTAN i bet u all dat guy will take d world by storm

  102. Fze123 says:

@ berbatunday, as Fergie said, we always seem to do certain things first. This is why we’re the best team in the world. I feel so proud of the lads, they showed great determination and took chances well. Credit to Fergie for picking the right formation, no one can doubt his genious when it comes to football.

However I don’t think any of the ABUs and journos will have much praise over this unexpected win; they’ll be too busy writing up articles as to why ‘Capello must take Owen to the WC’, that’s all they seem to care about at the mo. I struggle to think that any other team, ANY team, would have coped with 13 players out injured, a makeshift defence, muddy pitch, german atmosphere, playing away from home and loads of pressure piled on their shoulder’s to do well in what ever role they slip into to. True professionalism.

  103. Ulster Red says:

    @rooney new king
wouldnt even of looked at it lol

  104. rooney the new king says:

    Costas
if tis was chelsea or arsenal the press would be wanking over them saying these 2 are gonna win the title

  105. rooney the new king says:

@ Ulster Red same here its a bitch that with christamas if we put a ten pounds on that 100/1 that would have made my christmas. add the fact I had 2 help pay for my bros laptop which broke today

  106. sprite says:

haha, gary mcallister and jamie carragher on skysports, talking about how liverpool missed out on owen, if he should go to the world cup etc. hilarious! why do they put two former dippers in the studio when united play btw? wierd

  107. redsoul says:

    @costa
yea i think we r better than wen ronaldo was around last year though his 2nd goal 2day was superd dat guy has d eye of an eagel an a magic feet

  108. Fze123 says:

Leeds will come to OT pumped up after scoring 4 against Kettering. They’ll be full of arrogance and hope. Looking forward to see our kids shatter them.

  109. Costas says:

    @rooney the new king :

Probably mate. But i have stopped paying attention to those hypocrites a long time ago. When United lost the League in 2002 and they branded players like Scholes,Beckham,Giggs and Solskjaer as has beens.

I like it when UNited shut them up like this. By the way, was it Collymore who wrote us off because we would play with Carrick at the back?

  110. Rob the Red says:

Sprite: To ensure that nothing positive is said about us!

  111. The kenyan rooney says:

    I’m proud 2 b a united fan.really proud!!may FERGIE live 4ever.incredible!!!

  112. Fze123 says:

    @ sprite

Yeah, it’s already happening. Before kickoff they were talking about the WC, now they’re talking about the WC, for fuck’s sake we deserve some credit for tonight’s performance.

  113. redsoul says:

o bitter dippers they should go an rot in uefa cup where failure awaits them

  114. Ulster Red says:

    rooney the new king
them things arnt cheap either!!!! you must of had a hand in breaking it! probably when you seen owens odds!

  115. jellybean says:

i hope owen doesn’t go to the world cup to be honest…i want him to be fresh and ready and injury free for next season…1 defender, first choice strikers out, away in germany and 3-1!!!!!!! bloody hell!! glad i kept owen on my fantasy team :D

  116. rooney the new king says:

@ Costas did they now (scholes at 27 and giggs at 28 solkjaer and beckham has beens). WOW that really has made me laugh that I did not know which shocks me, if players of that quality are over the hill at that age of 27 and 28, no wonder they have been ripping at united for the past 3 years.

@ because scholes and giggs are much older, and the likes of carrick and berbatov are not the media darlings because they dont do what their pinup heros gerrard lampard and terry.

  117. rooney the new king says:

@Ulster Red I payed about 529 for the laptop for my bro, he had his old one insured but they replaced the screen so that could not be repaired. my brother admited it was a mistake

  118. Ulster Red says:

    rooney the new king
    i see..

  119. Esteban says:

King Eric – I agree it was a phenomenal performance that made me tremendously proud to be a supporter, but there is one other club in Europe that has a comparable depth, unified system and youth develpment program that could produce something similar: Barca. Recall how depleted their back 4 was in Rome.

  120. Costas says:

@rooney the new king : At that season, Arsenal had won the double, playing some good football mind you. However, United gave away a lot of goals due to Stam’s departure. But overnight, Arsenal players like Pires, Edu,Wiltord and Ljungberg became the greatest on the planet and the United lads apparently weren’t good enough anymore. Funnily enough, the year later we won the title.

  121. rooninho says:

    @jellybean

saw a question you asked a while back on another post about who i was referring to as kk (kuszczak) and what did he do that was embarassing. i’m sure you’ve seen his failed goal celebration by now, scott did a whole post about it! anyway, didn’t want to be impolite and not respond.

    @fze123/sprite

the media hates manchester united and ignores our success? i don’t think that will change in our lifetime. might as well always expect the worst. i don’t get how all these ex dippers get media jobs in the first place!

  122. slim says:

i’ve always wondered about the media bias too. this season its been disgusting really, we win againt the german champions, with massively depletd defence,2 homegrown players in gibson and wellbeck, against a german team that was chomping at the bit(playing a makeshift back 3 or 4)

Like someone said if it was arsenal( seriously doubt they could have pulled it off :-) )or chelsea there would have been wanking over them claiming they are world class and what have you. United do it and the club barely gets a mention. That idiot phil thompson(former assistant manager of l’pool) was talking trahs about how he expects us to lose in germay, fuckin wanker!!!

At this point we do need to get the players fit again especially the defenders and continue the winning streak. Ando is becoming the player we all want,Fletcher is immense, evra is amazing, kuzack is top of his game, bring on villa

  123. denton davey says:

fze: “However I don’t think any of the ABUs and journos will have much praise over this unexpected win; they’ll be too busy writing up articles as to why ‘Capello must take Owen to the WC’, that’s all they seem to care about”

EXACTLY. Every report I’ve read so far has wanked on about LittleMikey and Don Fabio – completely overlooking the quite-incredible spirit and fight of a make-shift defence giving up only one away-goal to the Champions of Germany.

As good as LittleMikey was in finishing those three chances, he did have several others, too. But, the man-of-the-match just had to be the GingerNinja who completely controlled the tempo of the game. That was a fucking-awesome display of professionalism. To be sure, he was assisted admirably by Gibson and Anderson whose young legs did the running but Scholes was at his vintage-best.

Nani continued to frustrate and then delight – his cross to LittleMikey was inch-perfect. And, are there any superlatives that can describe Obertan’s juking, jiving, and inch-perfect cross for the second goal ? The contributions by those three makes you wonder where Cristiano Ronaldo was tonight. He wasn’t missed.

The make-shift defence just about did enough to earn a draw – Wolfsburg’s finishing in the opening twenty minutes was dire – but the combined work of the whole team produced an incredible/against-all-odds victory.

Surely this must be one of SAF’s most treasured victories as this was a team win – an away win – against a desperate team. It was thrilling entertainment, too.

Costas hmm so the media that season made more asses of themselves by saying that, I wonder how many european cups did that arsenal side win. let me think 0, haha yea greatest side in the world my ass LOL.

so a side fielding (keane scholes beckham giggs van nistlerooy solkjaer) could no longer compete what idiots?. despite the fact united won 3 titles in a row a european cup an fa cup a world club cup that does not seem like a great side.

(oh no only their media darling london clubs like chelsea and arsenal who only had the greatest ever sides, yea haha how many european cups have they won 0, even forest have richer history than the london plastics.

@didnt they also say arsenal will be the greatest in 2004 and arsenal are the future of football, and chelsea will win the league every year since they won it in 2005. but who won it since chelsea won it in 2006 well we all know that.

  125. Costas says:

@rooney the new king : Yep. 2002-2005 was particulary bad when it came to the media’s love for Arsenal. But that’s what’s always great about us. That this type of critisism spurs us on. We bounced back from it in 2003 and then again in 2006 when we lost Ruud. That season they were even predicting United finishing 4th! I hope that this season is no exception.

  126. berbatunday says:

just a quick tot l hope we don’t have any potential transfer target in our next opponent’s team in europe cos so far the’ve been doing the business against us a la akinfeev, krasic, dzeko

  127. KVN says:

    Excellent performance and great result.
SAF got tactics right. It will benifit the whole team, squad and in
    Particular owen,welbeck,Gibson and nani

  128. rooney the new king says:

I agree there Costas it was bad the wank fest over arsenal and chelsea especially when their so called special one came. mourinho was like their porn they would wank over, actually they pridicted united would finish 5th not 4th

  129. rooninho says:

    @costas/ rooney the new king

how can you guys say anything bad about arsenal and the “invincibles?” probably the greatest team of all time (lol!!!) that will be the new dynasty, they will never lose again!

October 24, 2004 – Arsenal’s record streak of unbeaten top-flight league matches ends at 49 after a 2-0 away loss to Manchester United!!!!!!!

anytime a london team does anything good, it’s like the second coming of jesus! the journos and media are pathetic.

  130. rooney the new king says:

haha rooninho for a sec thought you were serious you summed it up. united run the damn show while arsenal chelsea and liverpool are our bitches. we win the trophys all they are is talk talk talk with little end product especially arsenal and chelsea.

    BRING ON THE SCUM!

  133. Fze123 says:

    @ denton davey

Spot on. Even though it was Owen who scored all 3 it was a team performance all round. Each player worked their butts off, you could tell they weren’t playing for a draw, but playing to top the group. I must say Scholes was phenomenal and the driving force of the midfield, but I would have given MOTM to Little Evra. He was a rock, made numerous crucial blocks and if he was injured too I doubt we would have coped as well as we did yesterday.

  134. Fze123 says:

    @ Esteban

Wasn’t Pique and Puyol playing? If they were, then I wouldn’t their back four in the CL final ‘depleted’.

  135. King Eric says:

Esteban – Are you serious? Barca DID NOT have 15 players missing. Cannot compare. Another Barca fan boy on here.
