attacking an injured players ambulance
spitting on opposition players
attacking their own fans for cl final tickets

but none of this is their own fault
they still wont admit their guilt for heysel

in all honesty they must be the worst fans in europe , im glad someone actually had the nerve to come out and say it

Great article, Scott. As you say, it will be interesting to see if anyone else, at a higher profile newspaper/ site (not to demean the Republik of Mancunia, of course!) picks up on these points.

Out of interest, when those disgusting incidents you cited as examples of the blameless Scousers’ impeccable behaviour occurred, did Rafa say anything? Did he denounce them at all?

Seriously though i pains my heart to see Phil subject to the indignity of being abused in the merseydive derby. Just as it did to see Robbo receive simliar treatment from our farmer dodging friends in Sheffield. Can any red seriously say that O’shea would deserve a place at either full back our centre mid in our squad ahead of Phil.

I saw the incident. As Neville leaned against the barrier to take a throw-in a Liverpool fan gave a little tug on the bottom of his shirt. Neville was a bit annoyed as he stepped forward and then got on with it. Maybe I am wrong but based on the reaction of everyone, including Neville, there was no ‘punch’.

Most of that is utter cobblers.

All clubs have a scum element, United included, and they’re all as bad as each other. I’ve heard United fans singing about Hillsborough for example.
