Arrogance is not something I am often accused of nor were any of my comments THAT derogatory towards your team. As you have your view, I have mine but I keep mine to my fellow supporters and do not go onto other teams websites and preach what they would think of as rubbish. My views and the views of my so called “soft” Liverpool supporting friends (who incidentally have supported them from the 80s, as I have United) are based on an unbiased and fair evaluation of the facts. Liverpool have no experience of sustaining a title challenge and that becomes very important in the latter months when the games are coming thick and fast (especially if you are still in Europe). When challenging sides like Chelsea and United that is very important especially when your squad is wafer thin – just ask Arsenal, who were far superior to you this time last season. I wasn’t worried then and I am not now.

For you to (under a different thread) call our midfield “pansies” and one of your players “Monster Masch”….well, that says it all!

But I acknowledge that fans like yourself will never agree with fans like me. You are blinded in your faith of your team, which is not a bad thing in itself, I could be accused of that myself – but I keep my views solely to my sites and do not insult others on their sites. That shows a lack of respect and class.

Incidentally, I believe the Liverpool fans rightly called us jammy for our ‘99 CL win but bear in mind when we won it we also did the domestic double to boot. When you won it in ‘05 of course United fans (and others) would say you were jammy as well – 20 minute spell and dominated for the other 100 – but fair play you won it. However, you were only playing for the CL and UEFA had to make an exception to get you in the competition the following season as you finished 5th in the league. When we won the competition last season we also won the league. Come on, our achievements are far superior to your own (unless you want to hark on back to the 70s and 80s).

As for playing catch up – did you miss last season?? Weren’t we around 7 points behind Arsenal around February after losing to Man City at home. Didn’t see Arsenal fans coming on to our sites and gloating as you have done in November being 8 points ahead but playing a game more. A bit early to write us off given our recent history vs yours (you always do well until November, don’t you?).

Of course, I may be wrong and you may sustain your challenge and even go on to beat Chelsea to the league (as if we fade, Chelsea won’t). But if you don’t, you won’t see me seeking Liverpool sites to mock your side. Such an act is beneath me.

But go in peace – I won’t be reacting to any insults you send my way now. I would rather converse with my fellow supporters. I suggest you think about doing that too, doesn’t the fact that you are the only Liverpool supporter on this site tell you something?

Seriously we have racked up the most points, most wins, most head to heads, most records in prem history. 10 titles in 16 years…leading or chasing, hunter or hunted we ve done it.

My comments were valid and a true representation of how I feel, if your Liverpool supporting friends feel like being so soft about our position fair game to them, but that is them, we all have a right to our own opinions and you’re in no position to tell me what I should be saying.
If Man Utd fans don’t like to hear the truth as we all know they don’t then you should make this site a “register to comment” site.

Despite all you wrote down the facts remain the same. You have to come from behind first, this a new season and you haven’t done it yet so as it stands you are all talk but no action I don’t care what you have done last season you want to talk to Liverpool fans about being flag bearers in Europe????. When Liverpool won the European cup in `05 you didn’t show us any respect so don’t expect us to show you any.
To add to the start of the season talk we are no longer in the start of the season. The start of the season is 5 -6 games not 11 plus games. Every week you keep saying Liverpool will crumble but I haven’t seen it happen yet. I’m getting so tired of the “when we win this game when we in that game” talk from United fans you sound so feeble.. Talk is cheap, put up or shut up!!
