Maybe next year we will be playing against LIVERPOOL TEXAS RANGERS F.C.

I like any sane Manchester United fan would love United to win the Champions League.

I was walking home from work last summer with a United T-Shirt on and got a load of Abuse from a bunch of dippers, about how AIG means almost in Greece and I could only reply Alex is God, before the rants came towards me. This a few days before the Champions League final, just after we had won the Premiership title for the 9th time, these lads were older than me but not old enough to have been about in the ‘glory’ days.

Is it me or do Liverpool fans really believe the Champions League is the top prize? A knock-out competition? Where any random team can get into the Knock-out rounds? I would rather win the English top flight title on a regular basis and never lift the CL cup again, our league is tough and the day it becomes like the Scottish top flight I may see more value in th Champions League. Maybe those guys were just kidding themselves, I would be as happy as anyone to be in the final and to win it, but as a fan my priority lays on English soil.

I think Fergie is just being professional really, instead of saying he’s chuffed he knows the pressure that comes with the job and the scenario that Rafa is in. We all hate each other (United and Liverpool) but the majority of proper fans have a massive respect for each other, Liverpool are a great club with a few quality players short of competing with United. I do feel sorry for the Liverpool club but not for the fans who were celebrating when they were took over, how did they think it was going to pan out? The history of H&G isn’t great, things were always going to go wrong.

seems a long time ago now but was a memorable comeback which surprised me after feeling ill at half time.

maybe there will be a day of solidarity between our clubs, erm maybe i’m just tired and not thinking str8, oh well i do live in Manchester so i suppose thats the closest i’ll get to you lot but it’s been interesting speaking to arch enermies on a civilised note-

enjoy your football, i;m sure you’ll do well (god its really hard to write those words), if it’s any concellation Ronaldo is a fantastic player who sadly knows it but i still hate Rooney…

I’m a scouser and i’ve never hated the mancs. One can’t find hate for beautiful football. the football we once played which resulted in a similar success to the man utd of the 90′s onwards.
No real red fan would ever despise Utd, envy maybe.
I’d rather have 5 amazing attacking players and throw caution to the wind so we could watch nice football every week. Even if you loose ,the fans have something to get excited about.
As things are we rely on 2 real match winners and a load of dross. Most of our players would only get in the sides from 6th onwards in the EPL. The quality is not there. Pennant/Riise/Crouch/Kuyt..All donkeys.
Mascherano is off, which relieves us of one of the few world class players we actually have.
I sometimes wonder why you lot even care about us, we have not been a threat since Kenny left, only in your heads!

John S don’t get too down about things, cos your lot are very good at making comebacks!!!!! Think about 3-0 down at half time in European cup against Inter, left for dead, but what a comeback. We can’t do anything about the corporate greed of the money men getting involved in football now, but those who boom, can also bust, and maybe the day will come when ALL TRUE FOOTBALL FANS RECLAIM THE TERRACES. LETS JUST KEEP THE FAITH. Enjoy your goal fest saturday, and I still think your club will finish in top four.
