Liverpool’s Carragher: United Have Deserved To Beat Us

The statistics don’t make pretty viewing for Liverpool fans, with their last home league win against us taking us as far back as 2001, whilst their last league goal against us came in 2004, and that was a John O’Shea own goal.

Two of the many recent United victories have come through last minute goals, with Rio popping up in front of the Stretford End and John O’Shea scoring in front of the Kop. Liverpool fans will grumble about their recent poor fortune against us.

However, Jamie Carragher doesn’t agree, claiming United have deserved our results against them.

“I’m not a great believer in being lucky or unlucky,” said Carragher. “I’m a big believer in ‘you get what you deserve’. United over the last few years have probably edged it with us and small details in football make a difference. That’s why they’ve been better than us and that’s something we need to liven up.”

I’m not entirely sure what’s going on, but I’m starting to see more sense from the supposed ‘Mr Liverpool’ all the time recently.

He used to cheer for Everton whilst in Liverpool’s academy, he loves Fergie ‘the master’, and now he acknowledges we’ve been better than them for years.

What the hell is going on??

That’s because Jamie is not someone with any side to him. He talks like he plays and that is an old school mentality that is sadly lacking with a lot of the current generation of players. Torres & Gerrard are both fit for tomorrow and I expect Berbatov to feature for you lot. It’s about time we scored a last minute undeserved goal against you lot. We are due.
I’d like to say may the best team win……but I’d take a result however it comes. Nobody who knows anything about the game can dispute what Ferguson has achieved he’ll be a hard act to follow when he finally retires.

Haha, shocking indeed. Hopefully they’ll aggravate those niggling little injuries, as they’re surely not 100% fit…

Doesn’t really matter, they’re both shite against us anyway!

    Rio > Torres
    Anderson > Gerrard

Reina, Arbeloa, Aurelio, Carragher, Skrtel, Hyypia, Agger, Dossena, Benayoun, Babel, Riera, Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano, Plessis, Kuyt, Keane, Torres, Ngog, Cavalieri, El Zhar

Dossena, Plessis, Ngog, Cavalieri, El Zhar; seriously… who?!?

    Anderson>Gerrard xD

With or without them you should win.

Lets hope he plays Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov and try and take the game to Liverpool. I would imagine that RB would gamble on one of his big 2 and that probably would be Stevie Me.
It will be a game of little oppertunities and with our trio upfront we should convert at least one of them, but big games from Rio and Vida will be massively important.

If so, am I the only person who thought Fergie was DRUNK???
