Manchester United will face Wolves at home in the third round of the League Cup. They finished Champions of the division below in gaining promotion at the end of last season being lead by Mick McCarthy.
The tie means we’ll be playing against former players Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and David Jones, as well as Chelsea’s talented young defender Michael Mancienne.
This is a trophy we have won twice in the past four seasons and should certainly be a good opportunity for our younger players to get a game.

Show no mercy…… out for the throat…. wind up the young uns and let them be led by Vidic with orders to go for it….
COME ON YOU FUCKING REDS
History suggests that talk of an ‘easy win’ is usually a mistake.
did your hear scouse bastard thompson as HE was doing the draw wit merson. Merse pulled us out as home team and big nose moron says there’s a shock. Is he implying the draw he took part in is rigged. Fucking twat
Should be a good test for the youngsters, and at home so you can’t ask for more than that!
Wolves will be fired up for it. They’ve just been handed another “Match of the Season” for them.
But our younger players will be fired up to, to show to the gaffer that they can deliver even against another PL team.
@sppibsihmkcrkg…. Yep.. Saw that during the draw alright.. Jaysus, he’s a bitter old man! Big nosed twat..
I want Wolves to do well in general if only because of his majesty Robert Plant.
But not against us, though!
Leeds v the dippers promises to be a cracker.
I agree, make Vida captain at the back and let the youngsters do it all. Gibson to score a forty yard cracker.
Easy game for MU… No chance for Wolves in Old Trafford!
2:0, Mackeda, Vidic or Gibson …
united should win it. this is the trophy in which we can find new players.
Leeds vs Liverpool. HAHAHAHAHAHA
