im loving the king eric pic 1st pic 3rd on the right.
I hope they stay away from the Budweisers!
The King was the man.I remember him doing an interview for MUTV in 2004 and during his speech he said “fuck your mother”!It was about how a player react when a fan says that to him.I was watching it live and i couldn’t believe it!Even retired,he causes controversy!
humble
i love it
what i wouldnt give for a pint in there
Nothing like the Lounge in Southport.
Keeps the players feet on the ground, it doesnt have to be dripping in ‘bling’ to be special. Us fans would kill to be able to be in there.
There is a plenty of glittering night clubs for them to go to anyway. This looks like a great pub.
looks like a good old northern working mens club…
drinking before matches? i would expect the lounge to be where the players meet AFTER a match
the count says it all, this is what separates us from london clubs
@rc7 lol i got it
looks like my basement
thats not the lounge, i have been in the lounge and that is not it
like keanesmagichat said, that isn’t the lounge.
I was there last week. This is the players lounge. They go here before matches and as you can see from the pictures, no alcohol is served there.
i have been there numerous times and that is definitely not the lounge
Not too sure about the alcohol.Vidic did look like he had a few Buds before the Liverpool game.
i’ve heard the players are allowed to have one beer after a game in there. i’ve already been in the lounge on a stadium tour. The guide told us, usually the players just chill in there before the match. except one lad always brings a football and starts playing with it in the lounge…no wonder who that could be hm..
Keanesmagichat – I was there last week and took that picture myself. You’re obviously confusing it with the area they go AFTER the matches, which will be a lot more flash than this.
if your that adamant scott i stand corrected,
i thought they used the same lounge before and after
Cool Place!
Scott is right. this is the players lounge. no family is allowed here. neither is fergie. they have a big honors board to the rear of these pictures showing every international that ever played for united or maybe that is in a different room
“as you can see from the pictures, no alcohol is served there.”
What about the box of bud and bottles that look suspiciously like beer in the fridge. The players getting shit faced pre match might explain our shocking form.
seriously, morrisons?!!
That plastic Morrisons bag is actually John O’Shea’s boot bag/lunch box.
But there is no mirrors.
the honours board is definitly not in this lounge…
it is in the lounge they go to after games
keanesmagichat is right….ive been behind the scenes plenty times on tours and do’s etc etc. Athe international board along with framed photos and sofas is in the room they enter straight after the game. Both from my recollection have bars though.
Keanos hat is right, honours board is 100% in the players lounge. I bet these pictures come from the staff lounge or some other place the players never set foot.
Seriously, this is the players lounge. The pictures of the captains over the years and the International honours board is on the wall opposite. The creche for their kids is in the room next door. The seats are small and casual looking, something the players chose themselves.
Seriously, this is the broom closet. The pictures of the cleaners over the years and the sandwhich board is on the wall opposite. The mop and bucket for the cleaners is in the room next door. The seats are small and shitty looking, something the cleaners chose themselves.
why is there a case of bud if they serve no alcohol? just a tease?
yep just given a bit of thought…and yes if the creche is next door…then scott is right….seats are deffo small and casual and above them is the international board…..and yep there are frames of brucey robbo keano lifting trophies etc
They must have two international boards in that case.
This isnt the players lounge – i used to work at OT for 3 years and used to stock up that room, its used for back-room staff and reserves!
Seriously, stop fucking around lads.. Scott has no reason to lie to us, the others of you lucky bastards who have had the chance to visit the holy places of OT have probably seen other lounges or rooms, and I’m sure everyone is telling the truth, well except for the cheeky bastard making fun of it all a little bit up… Anyway, great pics, hope to see the place myself some day.. and the other place.. and the place after that.. and all the other places the players gather before/after matches….
Just kidding boys!!!
drink away lads
